  1. I believe that setting SWG during such a familiar time period, has hurt the credibility of the game. There's tons of Jedi running around when there are only supposed to be a few. Perhaps if they had set it 10,000 years before the Empire, it would have been more plausible. Of course all the technology would be the same as the movies. (as in KOTOR)

  3. If you want to get technical, all non-linear RPGs , give the player the illusion of freedom. The question becomes: Which games are more convincing?
  4. I wish I could comment, but so much of the game doesn't make sense due to cut content. I just don't feel like blasting a game with so much unrealised potential and so much story left untold. Which I suppose is a comment in and of itself.

  9. Revan still is. It was the player's own choice what to do next after the revelation. Actually Revan was is more of your own character than Exile ever was. With KOTOR II, there are dialogue options that don't make sense to the player... and yet, we are supposed to know what we're talking about?
  10. I think the guy who posted this (on the Bioware boards) is in desperate need of attention.
  11. It's simple. If the force has it's own will then it's manipulated her from the start. She had no real choices and all her suffering is down to the force and you cant deny that indeed she has suffered. To understand why look at the last line of the Sith code. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I said she came to believe the force has it's own. The last line of the Sith code can be interpreted many ways.
  12. The story would have been better if Kreia's motives were given more depth. Perhaps she lost someone she loved... a daughter, a friend, a lover? In doing research... or out of blind grief, she comes to believe that is to blame for his or her death. That would have made more sense to me. As it is, I understand why she dislikes ... but to hate it to the degree she wants to destroy it? You're going to have to give her a better motive than that for me to buy it.
  13. Kreia is evil because she didn't care who she had to hurt to see the Force destroyed.

  15. Personally, I hope they go back to NES style graphics for KOTOR 3.
  16. Yes that will clear everything up and answer all your questions. But you don't find out about Exile searching for Revan until after you beat the last boss.
  17. Yes, they can become Jedi in the game. (Not just in the predictions Kreia gives at the end.) You have to gain lots of influence with each one to do it... As for the second question, I'll let you find out.
  18. Killing babies? Perhaps in some games, but perhaps not in others. I guess it's not really my thing. This reminds me of Fable in a way. You can burp in Fable; you can fart in Fable. Why? Does it add to the lackluster story or enhance the gaming experience? In the Sims, you can simulate the experience of using the toilet. The question then becomes: Why would I want to?
  19. I love Kreia, both the character and the way she is written. I have always been a fan of Palpatine. He quickly became less interesting to me when he turned into the typical cackling villain. Kreia never did that. She also made me question my decisions a few times and I like to play a "goody-goody". Who was better at hiding their evil? Kreia definitely. But she is written better too. The fact that there is still debate about whether or not she is truely evil is a testament to that.
  20. Did you read the question? The question didn't say anything about KOTOR III. In addition, I didn't say KOTOR II was good or bad. I was simply using that as a reference point because I believe it to be the finest game LucasArts has ever published. In spite of the fact it was obviously rushed for the Holidays, I believe most of the story to be compelling. The only "stupidly prejudicial" comment here belongs to you.
