  1. Yeah, it has to be a glitch. When I had that cutscene I went to where Bao is and sure enough there was Remote at half its health. As far as bugs/glicthes; this one be a minor one.
  2. Kreia did not love the PC. When you love someone, you do not abuse them. You do not use them. You do not torture, or trash their friends. In conclusion, Kreia does not know the menaing of the word love. When she syas it; it is hollow and empty - just like her soul.
  3. "The villain with the goal to just destroy is rather dull. Give me one that has some other reason to be evil. Kreia is the kind of villain I like." Eh. That was Kreia's entire motivation. Her motivation was to destroy. Anyways, as far as the Revan/Malak discussion; everyone is correct. P.S. My Revan was an Angel.
  4. "That's right. After all, it's your business. However, mass layofss to increase profits are wrong." Perhaps; but totally irrelevant. "In the case of the latter, it is essential for the good of society to regulate and enforce ethical behaviour." WTH? Does no one believe in freedom anymore?
  5. "Correct. Lightsiders don't regen there." Hmm.. i did not notice this...
  6. "So far the most brutal and ruthless case of a game being gutted by the publisher." D R A M A "Also dont give me the release time, games get pushed all the time ... lets take Jade Empire for example that was moved from end of 04 to now 04/05 ... I guess that is what happens when you have your own QA department and take no bull from the publisher." Game over.
  7. "course not ... that is why they never fixed that memory leak that is referenced on the readme ..." Crap happens. All games have a 'known issues' section in the ReadMe. Nothin' new. "Should I go over the "ghost" HK factory and final planet lost files?" Woopity do dah. It's obvious what happened there. Obsidian deisgned the game to be bigger. They realized they werne't going to have enough time to add everything so they cut stuff out. Big deal. BIo did the same with KOTOR1. An entire plant was also cut in KOTOR1 as well as a host of other stuff. "The game was rushed to meet the Xmas line, LucasArts gone back on the word of a simulatious PC and XBox release." Irrelevant. The game - both evrsions - were scheduled to come out during thes emonths. The x-box version got out first. What i find hilarious is peopleactually believed that somehow because the PC version had 2-3 extra months that it would be somehow less buggy. Wrong. The game was pretty much done as they wanted it to be back on December more than likely. "Volourn, the Last Jedi ..." :D
  8. "What, pray tell, was the developer responsible for HotU then?" Bioware.
  9. "well youve stated you barely use her. so i wasnt sure if you actually knew her backstory since the only thing you really learn about her without using her in your party or talking to her is that, for some reason, hanharr has a life debt with her, but seems to want to kill her too. i just wasnt sure if you actually thought her entire backstory was hanharr related or not." I probably didn't learn *everything* about her; but I know that her backstory is more than Hanharr. I learned about he rparents though actually I can't even quite remmeber. I beleive they died on a planet (Malichor V or whatever?) and she was captured by Mandolarians I beleive and they trained her in the art of combat until she got her freedom. I think that wa shers. I can't remember now as it all happened during one convo on the Ebon HAWK... <>>>>>>>>> oWW.. She, of cours,e became a bounty hounter and that's when she encountered Hanharr.
  10. "How many treads asking for a early release were here? Many people wanted the game NOW, of course wanting something before its actual completed means a incompleted game and so "bugs"." Wanting a game as early as possible is not the same as wnated it to be released buggy or incomplete. Nice try though. Only LA, and Obsidian cna make the decision of when the game is ready to be released (obviously LA has final say); not the fans. The game would not have been released otherwise. Besdies, KOTOR2 wasn't really released early at all depsite the fans. Afterall, again, KOTOR2 was ALWAYS scheduled to be released between December 2004 and February 2005. That has not changed at all.
  11. "Not really a suprise as you said you were playing darkside somewhere else.." Huh? Huh? Huh? I played LS... All the way... Unless you mean the game I started last night...
  12. "not to be a broken record (ok i will be) but why do you keep calling mira that?" I know it isn't. I'm just making fun of a character I dislike immensely. Geez. I'd think you'd know that. Afterall, I seriosuly doubt even Obsidian and their love for 'depth' and 'complexity' would include a character whose had sex with a walking carpet or her dad. <>
  13. "You could spam force powers non stop in KOTOR..." Nowher enear as much as KOTOR2. You could actually run out of force points if you spam too much. That simply did not happen in KOTOR2.
  14. "Looks like you missed the subtlties. Starting to see why you are such a Bioware fanboy now" Kreia was not subtle. She was blunt to the point it was obviously you'd be fighting her at the end. As for ehr motivations; it wook awhile; but one can tell how she reacted to the other Jedi when you met them that she did not have a positive view of the force. Sorry, not complex or deep at all. My fave planets were Nar Shadda, Dantooine, and Telos. Korriban was just behind. Malchhoir V, Peragus, and Onderron were not so good. My face characters were Handmaiden, Kreia (yes, amazingly), Bao Dur, the little droid whose name I always forget. My most hted npcs were the whiny Atony and the carpet daddy loving Mira.
  15. "You wont notice till you play both anyway." A. I doubt I'm up to finishing it a seocnd time. Once was enough just like once was enough ttoo with KOTOR1. B. I saw soemone else playing Dark Side, and the dinks were saying basically the same thing as they were in my game. *yawn*
  16. "Also, there's been many good reviews of this expansion, and the team, Floodgate" FG has ZERO to do with HOTU. It had very little to do with SOU as well outisde of cutscenes, animations, and specific scripts.
  17. "people wanted to play a uber muchkin jedi and that is exactly what they got, they have NO RIGHT to complain that it does not work very well since that is what they wanted." Whatever. Show me evidence of what person WANTING KTORO2 to be buggy. Just one.... whose not insane.
  18. "They definately dont say the same things." That's not what I'm witnessing with someone whose playing Dark Side...
  19. Did I say they were? No. Once again, I said, if I own a business I should be able to run it as I see fit. Period.
  20. I like Nar Shardaa. One of the better worlds in the game.
  21. "Sith Cave on Korriban" Yes, I agree. That was nice. Same with the Mandolarians. "Kreia and the Exile are kindred spirits." You on crack? I was no kindred spirit of hers. I had absolutely nothing but a forced plot device connecting me to her. She was a good character; but nowhere near as enviable as some claim. Great voice, however. And, only the most corrupt could eat the garbage she was shovelling out espicially at the end. She is very much Dark Side. She oozes Hate for Everything. When she said she loved me, I wanted to puke. That is all.
  22. "Such an association will appear sooner or later. I'm sure of it. KOTOR2 clearly shows that things are getting out of hand in the gaming industry.' D R A M A
  23. "What are you going on about ? The NPCs alignments will change to reflect yours. Except for Kreia who will remain where she is from start to finish." Yet... a) they say the same exact things... B) you only influence them by saying what THEY want to hear in most cases. That's what's meant by them influencing the player.
  24. "Incidentally, Visas is the only NPC that I have seen so far which you can actually influence, instead of being the other way around." Handmaiden as well. The others not so much. I notice you agree with me now that (mostly) the influence system is about the npcs influencing you. Good to know.
  25. "One of the things that I've noticed about KOTOR II is that you have to work for your crumbs" Huh? You don't have to work for it in KOTOR2. All you are doing is spamming characetr with point and click. It's not deep or complex. At all. In fact, it's very simplified. You want to know a certain npc let them influence you. It's dumb. If they don't like you and don't want to talk to you; why are they even on the ship/mission with you? Lame. That's not depth; that's a lack of logic. If I don't like certain characters I should be able to either kill them or kick them off; but nooo ... Even though I knew a certain woman was up to no good I was stuck with her the entire game. Whatever. Outisde of Kreia, and ever her, you don't need a lot of influence to get the meaty side of the story. The rest of the influence is just for fluff and the ability to have a small army of Jedi with you. "Yep, it seems a high replayability was one of the main objectives of the design team." It takes more than just a couple of new lines to impress me with replayability. The only thing that would make KOTOR2 replayable for me is the same as KOTOR1 = dark/light side. Other than that, i went through the game once, enjoyed the story with all its flaws, and that's it. I did try a second game last night; but stopped pretty much boring. Ha dno motivation to move forward. Reminds me of KOTOR1 that way. I'll stick with the FO, BGs, and NWN (* talking about the whole game with this one; not the OC) for replayability with actual depth.
