A Big ********* To Obsidian and LA
Volourn replied to buttfacepoop's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
"considering the fact that LA cut their time short, from feb to dec." No, they didn't. -
"Ironic that they are more visible on Biowares forum lately isnt it." Not really. NWN2 is their top priority. Not fixing a game already released and already making 'em money.

Is there a "Box office" list for games?
Volourn replied to Euripides's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
"If a game sells 150,000 copies it's made a profit if it was selling for 50$ a pop. Games in this generation are usually budgeted around 1-4 million $" You know this how? -
Full of poo poo.

A Big ********* To Obsidian and LA

People who say things like that should be ignored. If BIo games were *flawless* why would they need to release multiple patches? No. Logic. There. -
"I really liked what they did with T3." Absolutely. I found T3 a useless, boring character in KOTOR1. In KOTOR2, he was awesome and I actually wanted to use him in my party.

However, I'd think it be fair to say that more people have major problems with KOTOR2 than KOTOR1. I think that's the main issue. It's silly to say that neitehr game had no bugs. heck, I had to download a patch for my ATI card for KOTOR1. But, once I did, no bugs for me. Wish i can say the same with KOTOR2. Though; in my experience, KOTOR2 crashed less for me. <_< -
"You obviously never owned a Commodore 64" That's right. Bioware which was formed 10 years made a list of games for the Commodore 64. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah. You obviouly have never used a Commodore 64.

Since, I'm always going off about all the negative stuff in the game; I thought I'd share some of the things I really liked in the game.... - Great use of skills/ability scores in dialogue. Awesome. - Droids. The droids in the game (both in and out of the party) were amongst the most interesting npcs in the game. Yes, even remote was cool. From the HKs to the Cerka Corporation ones. Sweet. - The Use of KOTOR1 characters. From the two droids returning to Carth to the meetings of some others. Sweet stuff. - The trio of awesome npcs in the aprty. That be Bao Dur has the most realistic of the characetrs to Handmaiden in her Nude Fighting (yes, I'm a :"> pig :"> ), and even Kreia. Though; there are soem stuff wrong with kreia's use in the game; the character itself is pretty darn good espicially the voice acting. - Music. Espicially the Peragus, and Malichor V music was perfect. There's more; but that's it for now.

Do you think its possibal for Obsidian ......
Volourn replied to B5C's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Why? LucasArts is the BigBadEvilPublsihertm. Their mission in life is to make games as horrible as possible, and ruin us gamer's fun. -
Why can't they? They have the same bab, good defense, and same fist power (minus aa few strength points) to dela with her. My Sentinel had a strength of 10 and outside of the last fight she was relatively easy.

Changed Endgame, Droid Planet Explanations
Volourn replied to Trom's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Not to mention the half a dozen or sof ree feats you get at the start. Not to mention making lighsabres have even more slots.. No, Drakron is right. KOTOR2's rules are even worse than KOTOR1 for so many reasons. Alan's one exmaple is another one of the big OOPS. Let's also not forget the fact that all jedi fistsa re automatically super deadly - espicially comapred to normal non sabre weapons. R00fles! -
Unless they use a brand new engine; it better not take 3 years.
-
I should say thoguh that big slugs being turned on by sex human females is pretty sad... Still, Kreia deserves every derogatory name thrown at her and not because she's a woman either. I never got the impression in the game that the characetrs hated her BECAUSE she was a woman; but hated her because she was scum.

"Not completely true. The engine was based on the NWN engine. They already had a head start, if nothing else, then technology and expertise wise when recycling Aurora engine." That's why I put the * there. -
And, BIS still existed when development started on Vampire.. or has it been more than 2 years since BIS' destruction? WOWSERS! Still, it's obviously a pot shot against Troika big wigs' former bosses. Didn't bother me though as I didn't notice it so meh.

"It's the fact that she's repeatedly attacked for being a "manipulative witch" that's a tad obnoxious." How's that obnoxious? It's the truth. That's exactly what she is.
-
Why? Because most spectators are serious and area 100% focused on whatever task they're assigned to by whoever summoned from? This is all true. Key word is most. As for the drow wizard, that's simple. He's a wizard - perhaps he researched a spell to summon a spectator. Perhaps he used some type of magic item,. Pehraps, he had a priest of Helm as a prisoner and forced that priest to summon a spectator. So many possibilities. Use your imagination. Geez..

"Just one question... is this how you got up to 5550 posts on this board?" Yes. (w00t) As for LA, look at the back of the manual for the credits. they did a lot - voice overs, music, you name it. they weren't playing tiddly winks. And, oh, I wodnered how the bug situation would be if LA allowed Obsidian to handle the bug testing/fixing on their own. It would be worse. I thank LA for being there to bug test. Basically do the developer's job as far as I'm concerned. -
However, they are not. Unless you have proof that 100% of Spectator Beholders are EXACTLY the same; you have no legs to sit on while spamming such nonsense. While the majority of Spectators are loyal and subsevriant to Helm; they all are not. They are living creatures, after all. By your logic, since dwarves were created by Moradin; they are all his robots. Whatever.

A Big ********* To Obsidian and LA
Volourn replied to buttfacepoop's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
*sigh* Everyone in this thread is a troll. Anyone who thinks that KOTOR was as buggy as KOTOR2 is drunk. People who think automatically that BIo would have no doubt done better than Obsidian are trolls. They might have; they might now have. We will never know. Anyone who thinks that the reason why KOTOR was less buggy than KOTOR2 is because they had more time is stupid. Afterall, Obsidian had an already made engine, characters ready to go, story to cover, game play made while BIO started from scratch*. There's a reason why KOTOR1 had more time to be made than KOTOR2. The random loot in this game is retarded. It's the worst I have seen in ANY game. Any game. Not since I was 10 years old,a nd dmed my first D&D camapign have I seen such poor loot tables. Anyone whod ares bash Handmaiden in any way needs to be punished Handmaiden. She isa weosme, and I don't see how she degrades women. Afterall, a woman who can take care of herself in a fight is always a positive role model to me. not to mention she is honourable, trustworthy, and brave. All good qualities for young ladies to admire. That is all. P.S. People should really stop making exues for Obsidian while giving them ALL the credit for KOTOR2 and ignroing all of LA's positive contributions. Lame. -
Says who? They don't have to be carbon copies of each other. They're not robots, afterall.
-
If anything, the lack of announcement from Atari on who's developing the game to me gives credence that BIO *might* land up developing it. For all we know, the two companies are negotiating and who knows maybe BIO hosting the NWN2 boards might have something to do with it... <>

What we can do about the state of TSL
Volourn replied to Dehumanizer's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I smell SP is flipfloopping. Elsewhere, SP was arguing that story comes first. ie. The player FORCED to play certain characters, the player FORCED to keep certain npcs in the party; etc., etc. I smell a huge flip flopping here. -
Isn't that what people here wanted? Or perhaps, OBSIDIAN should get BIO mods to come take over. <> Then'll you'll all be whining about the 'Nazis'. R00fles!
