Nha. Things would likely be worse. We wouldn't have any food outisde of what we farmed/caught ourselves, we'd have no electricty, no housing outside of which we built 9and, any house I built for myself would be rather off putting; i surely wouldn't want to live in it. Heh), and most importantly I wouldn't games to play. L0LLERGAGS!

"What goes on within the borders of one's country is the business of that country." I disagree. With that attitude, we might as will go back to the era of city states. Whatever happens outside of the city we live in is non eof our business. R00fles! Heck, anything that doesn't directly effect me or people I know is non eof business! Why should I care if Joe Blow on the other side of town got beat up and robbed. It doesn't effect me!

"using your reasoning we should invade ourselves for having *some* ties to al qaeda" A. You can't really 'invade' yourself. B. That's just silly talk. C. The US and coalition didn't invade Iraq because of Iraq's ties (however tight or loose they were); but for a multitude of othere reasons (the big one being Iraq being an enemy, and a threat to Amerikan and co's interests). Afghanistan was the country invaded due to their rulers directl and absolutely confirmed link and refusal to hand over AQ. Two compltely different scenarios though the Iraq war would likely not have happened - at leats on the time table it did - had it not been for 9/11 (however, Iraq itself had nothing to do diretcly or even likely non directly with 9/11).

NWN1 is a D&D 3E game from BIO. It's their second D&D series after BG. It's also their most successful despite the protests of a rather vocal minority. It has 4 parts. The OC which was of average quality, and when people attack the game their focus is usually directed there. There's the Multi Player which is self explantary. There's the Dungeon Master Client which allows one to play (and DM) the game like pen and paper DnD which the game is based on. The toolset is the 4th part, and it allows one to create their own adventures. Like all D&D games, NWN has all sorts of classes, races, spells, monsters, and everything else you might think a fantasy game would likely have. It has two expansion. the first is Shadows of Undretide. It is decent at best, and is overrated though the first chapter is impressive. The second expansion is Hordes of the Underdark which introduces epic levels (game was originally up to level 20, HOTU allows you level 40), and is actually impressive though it has lots ph@t lewt. NWN allows you to have 1 character + 1 Expert Hireling controlled by the computer. SOU has 1 PC + 1 computer controlled henchman. HOTU gives you a second computer controlled henchmen. Both expansions add lots of new stuff as well as their original campaigns. There are also tons of user made modules, and Persistent Worlds 9kind of like MMORPGs except they are free, and not exactly massive - 64 max player susually though most PWs allow much less). There are also a few Premium modules available which are sold at the BIO store. These are modules builty by BIO or financed by them. NWN has gotten years of suppport starting when it was released in 2002. NWN2 is the sequel to NWN1 (heheh, no duh! ). It was developed by Obsidian with the blessing of Bioware. It allows 1 player created character + player controlled henchmen (number varies; but usually 3). You can have the computer control the party if you so wish. It is 3.5 DnD as opposed to 3.5 (mainly just an update). The main additions are improved graphics (for the most part), a new class, and built in subraces. The new OC is also of average quality. It does soemthings far better than the NWN OC; but ti does some things worse as well. Most people on this particular board no doubt prefer NWN2 O. Just look at the name of the baord for the reasons why. Thus far, Obsidian has done a solid job updating/patching NWN2. There's likely an expansion to come. The game was released later last year. Both games are worth the purchases. NWN1 = all the extra goodies cna be had rather cheap; but the graphics (obviously) are lagging behind current generation of stuff. NWN2 is a solid purchase; but still (dpeending on who you ask) has some kinks to be worked out. Buy both and enjoy.

"And the US government probably had ties to it in *some* way... " What's your point? Nobody claimed otherwise. It's irrelevant, and means absolutely squat as it doesn't nullify my point.
-
"no ties to Al Qaeda" This isn't true. They surely had *some* ties. "So where and when did the Iraqi military attacked America just prior our invasion?" *shrug* Were'nt the Iraqis in the habit of shooting at the US (and British) planes patrolling the Kurdish areas? R00fles!

I bought the game a few month ago. I haven't even installed it yet. L0LLERZ!

Taks: WOW, Your post is all twisted. Completely different meaning, indeed. Sand: One does not need to launch attacks on another's soil to directly attack one. Attacking an Amerikan because they happen to be Amerikan is an attack on Amerika even if that Amerikan was in Japan at the time. R00fles!

Mnay mistakes have been made; the removal of Saddam's regime was not one of them. R00fles!

"I always thought the consumer got shafted with Throne of Bhaal. The shortness of it and it seemed rushed." Weird. TOB is around 40 hours, and is the longets expansion I played. Was it rushed? Likely a little since it was originally menat to BG3; but still the best expansion ever by far except maybe HOTU. Then again, I haven't played many expansions. Hehe. -
"unfortunately, for better or worse, we put them in this situation so it is our problem." Nah. The Taliban and Hussein put them in this situation. There'd have been no invasions if it wans't for the choice those former leaders made. "realistically, they're even worse off." I doubt the Afghanistanians are worse off now under non Taliban rule than theyw ere when the Taliban ruled. Don't forget that many of the Warlords you speak of have slowly begun to join the new national government. Things may not be great; but worse than ebfore; I have my doubts. And, Iraq was pretty much in ruin before the invasion. Before Saddam and early in his rule, Iraq was one of the most advanced nations in the ME even ricalling Isreal (if not surpassing it). His decisions ruined because of wars, slaughtering Iraqis, and a host of other poor decisions he made. Why do people forget the history? Anyways, the US and its allies shouldn't leave either country until it's releatively ensured fo stability like Japan and Germany were.

What properties would you like to see games made from?

Buffyverse is the best idea thus far in this thread thus far. By chance, it also happens to be my suggestion. R00fles! -
Hard to narrow it down to just one; but I'll choose one; but it might changed or avry later on. R00fles! Band: No single favorite or even favorites here. Tons. From Elvis to Britney to Tina Turner to Garth Brooks; you name it. Movie: The Stand, and most other Stephen King books. To Kill The Mockingbird as well. TV Series: General Hospital. Buffy, and Angel are alsoa wesome. Cartoon: Simpsons. Book: Stephen King novels. Comic Book: Not much of a comic book fan; but the Archie coimics were always fun reads to pass the time. PC Video Game: Neverwinter Nights. Console Video Game: Final Fantasy 8, Jade Empire, and Megamania. Games Console: Varies. Currently xbox 360.

"Nice fight at the Ranger game." Disgusting barbarism. Fighting should be banned in the NHL just like it is off the ice. R00fles! Well.. At least the Rangers are kickin' butt. King Lundqvist is just too SWEET!!! And, the Oilers are getting what they deserve.. Couldn't keep Pronge rhappy, and got rid of a greta player at the rtade deadline is what gets them where they are today. HAHAH! GO RANGERS GO!

Fun.

"It's like anything. Irrelivant, it's media related. Everyone has there own list of favourites." Absolutely true; but the best aprts of these lists and why i find them so fun is the fact one can disagree with them vehementely. Shrruging your shoulders is for boring things like your roommate telling you he's going to work. L0LLERZ!
-
Absolutely. And, why not? It's better thn shrrugging your shoulders when Adolf Hitler disagrees with me and wants all Jews dead. R00fles!

"Jade Empire wasn't bad but I felt the bare bones character system placed it a bit below Vampire: Bloodlines because character development isn't as diverse. The only main skills of Jade Empire are in combat and dialogue whereas Bloodlines had several more, like stealth or lock-picking, which really added a bit more meat and variety to the system." Non combat skills wise, no doubt BL has it over JE. It's too bad BL's combat was so horrible (for the most part) or else it would have been top 10 if not top 5 for me. "MLB2K7(360) - After playing a few games and getting the hang pitching and hitting, I'm really starting to like this game. Like Volorun said, too many homers and still not as good as MVP '05." Yeah, what's funny is that in MVP I tend to use 'assisted fielding'; but 2k7 forces you to have full control of fielding (at least I am misisng the option) so soemtimes I do very foolish things in the field. Hehe. Good game; but MVP has it beat. I think mainly because of allt he avrious settings so if the gets too easy (or too hard); you cna mix it up to get the right mix of offense/picthing fairness you want for whatever your preference is.

"doubt you even know which games you like and not. I bet you dislike NWN2, but you tell people in here that you love it (am I right? c'mon, be honest). Just like that game-reviewer (Sand? or you?) who gave NWN1 a high score because he thought most people would probably like it (is my memory correct?). How amazingly abysmally spineless! In order to tell if a game has soul or not, you first need to have a soul. You don't. HAHAHAHA!!. So there. " You win. I don't know what; but you win. -
Horrible posting. Undermountain. R00fles!

Games don't have souls. they're inanimate objects. Besdies, even though I've sued that silly term myself in the past, exactly what does it mean? Oh, I know. It means the writer/speaker really loves the game. In essence, it's a catchphrase that means very little and says absolutely nothing about a game. R00fles! P.S. All my favorite games have soul. All the games I hate don't. HAHAHAHA!! -
There's the Undemrountian Remake from NWN1. Last I checked it wa sin beta. Has potential in the future though espicially if it's crafted as well as the NWN1 version was.

Buffyverse. I have what I think is a 'good' idea; but I'm sure people here would think it sucks. R00fles! -
"Did you notice that not a single soul on this board has debated having Xcom as number 1 on the list? I mean, you would think that the number one spot would be the most controversial. But it's not, it's just common sense that Xcom is there. I would reconsider your purpose in life, if I were you." I didn't mention it as I don't give a crap about it. It's likely # 1millionth on my list of games to play. I'd rather Barbier than that. R00fles!
