"You get to take on Pittsburgh while Tampa only has Atlanta." Atlanta is no picnic, and the Rangers have played well against Pittsburgh even when they were struggling earlier in the season, and beta them last weak already. Rangers will be playing either Atlanta, or NJ in the first round.
-
HAHA! And, the Rangers got some help in serving up a 6th place finish with TB getting shellshocked by Florida. WOO HOO!

Absolutely sexy trailer. Interetsing to note, however, is that Shepard never spoke in it. Heh. As for release date, rumours have it due by the end of June; but as always no official date by BIO.
-
"It will be BioWare' Diakatana. " You just doomed them.
-
"Did you actually read the post. I very much clarified that I was talking about Bioware's CRPGs. You even quoted me on it. And I did miscount. It is 8 DnD/d20 System CRPGs to 3 non-DnD/d20 System CRPGs. I forgot to count ME because its not on a platform I can play on. Come on now, keep up." Yeah; but you were replying to me who had replied to someone else who had said 'all BIO games but JE were D&D'... Heh. Anywyas, no biggie. Basiclaly, yes, BIO made their share of D&D games. That much is true. However, obviously, they've moved beyond that though. Time for us all to move past that phase as well. The BIO making D&D games phase is now (at least temporarily) dead. P.S. Sand, and I at least agree on a defintion for fantasy. Hehe.

"I wouldn't call a game generic based just on its setting. However, as I said on the Codex boards, it's too early to say whether it'll be a winner, also." This is mkinda true; but also kinda false. While it is too early to make a final determination of quality (good or bad) for DA; it is still posisble to form an opinion based off both the writers' past experience with BIO games (likeing them or not) + the info we do know as well. Afterall, knowing this stuff is how potential customers such as ourselves determine which games to buy or not...
-
Good on you. I was replying to someonw ho claimed 'all their games' oustide fo JE' was D&D. Geez. You change topics so fast just to claim you are 'right' when it was a topic I wasn't even disucsisng! WOW! Please, don't change things up like that. heh.

"Volourn, of all the CRPG titles they have released, expansions included, 8 are Dungeons and Dragons or uses the d20 System as a base while 2 are not." D20 is not neccessarrily DnD. BIO has made BG, BG2, and NWN for D&D games along with 4 expansions. They have made MDK2 + expansion, SS, KOTOR, and JE and are making ME and DA which arne't D&D. Games wise, it's 3 D&D games and 4 non D&D games currently made. Counting expansiions, it's 7-5 crrently in favor of D&D. With the upcoming announced games, it's gonna be 7-6. Not exactly 'all', right? "Arcanum isn't generic fantasy" Sure, it is. At least as much as DA is. "Its a DnD game. I expected it to be generic, so why would I whine about a DnD game fitting my expectations?" Unless it's BIO doing it. L0LLERZ! Maria: Llyr is making fun of Sands and allt hsoe other sillies who claimed that DA was amythical myth BIO made up to 'appease' PC gamers and it was simply vapourware. L0L "Arcanum isn't generic fantasy" Sure, it is. Just as much as DA is, anyways.

"If I had to choose between Obsidian's Alien game or Bioware's Dragon Age, I would choose Obsidian." This says everything anyone needs to know about how phony your 'it's too generic' and 'too unoriginal' ****ick is. You ar ebetetr off typing: I think BIO sucks, but I buy their games anyways. Obsidian is better, I'll buy their games even if it's just a pre existing IP. Nothing with that opinion; but let's be honest. Afterall, you didn't whine too much about NWN2's 'genericness' and 'unoriginality' depsite the fact it's the sequel to NWN2 and is based off the property (D&D) that basiclaly evented the term 'generic defintion' and is what people actually mean when they write 'generic fantasy'. R00fles! P.S. I hvae no problem with those wary about DA. Some others actually mad decent points earlier on; but it should be logical and fitting. Heck, I have some DA things I'm worried about. "Hmm, I wouldn't call Jade Empire a generic fantasy setting. Other than that, all they've done is D&D." Half their games aren't even D&D....
-
"No, it is still generic fantasy because it has all been done before and done so across many many many products. Something that is common and unoriginal is generic. Hell, even Oblivion has damage reduction based on armor." Being 'generic' and being 'generic fantasy' are two completely different things. Nice try; though. DA certainly has soemthings in common with 'generic fantasy'; but it certainly isn't. It's not simply FR, for exmaple, set in a different world. Then again, you alreayd have the game on pre order so your opinion is funny since you are are acting like a generic RPG Codexer. R00fles! P.S. Maria is cool just like those screenshots. P.S.S If it's ;'getting tiresome'; don't buy them. But, you will, so you obviously aren't all that tired of generic fantasy since you scooped up that within seconds. It's also funny you didn't whine too much about that being 'generic fantasy' depsite it being the very defintion of 'generic fantasy'. (not that that's a bad thing, I LOVE generic fantasy done well). L0LLERZ!

http://sports.sympatico.msn.ca/THN+Player+...ct=&abc=abc I agree with Avery 100%. I think NHL players ar eon crack. Anyone who watched that Toronto game last Sunday that, if anything, Sean Avery is underrated and underappreciated. Besdies, last i checked, it's not like there were ever tons of people rnating about how greta Avery was. Even though, now that i get to see him play a lot, I can easily say he's awesome, and vastly undderated espicially by the retarded fellow players.
-
I never said it was 'original' or 'brand new'. I thought we were discussin' 'generic fantasy'. Why are you changing the discussion all of asudden? Oh, that's easy. I know why. I showed that DA isn't just 'generic fantasy' so you decided to switch tatics and start attacking it for not being 'original'. R00fles!
-
Sand, youa r eonly pointing out half the picture. Unlike 'generic fanatsy', DA doesn't have gods that you can worship and gain powers from, doesn't have sumnmong/teleportation magic, no ressurection, no insta heal potions (or even spells), magic isn't well known amongst commoners, it doesn't have vampire or even most kind of undead, and there's a host of other things. Unlike typical generic fantasy, armour is habout damage reduction ala Fallout than D&D's AC. Spelclasters can wear armour nor does it effect magic. Yup, you only read half of it. *shrug* Not that it matters since we both know you'll buy it, anyways.
-
You obviously didn't read it all. Or, simply misread it.

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=160943 Bland preview of DA including discussion of a npc, and origin stories. http://forums.bioware.com/viewtopic.html?t...86&forum=84 Thread on BIO baord that covers a lot of stuff that BIO has disucssed. LOTS of information on the game inside it (subject to future changes, of courses). I don't like *everything* I'm reaidng; but overall (surprise, surprise!!!)

"Microsoft doesn't care about the sales lost" Not really up to MS when it comes to whether or not ME is ported to PC. It's up to BIO. Though, chances are, BIO agreed to a sweet deal for xbox 360 exclusivity - at least for 1 year - much like JE. Remember, MS didn't even publish JE's PC version. BIO owns ME; MS doesn't.
-
Meh. I love getting sequels to movies I love. It sure beats getting 'new' movies that suck like crap. R00fles!
-
Also, I doubt BIO is gonna waste time making KOTOR3 while they are still working on the ME trilogy for the next 5 years, or so. The whole point of ME is a Space RPG without the bgaggae of a pre existing IP like SW to control what they can and cannot do. R00fles! Anyways, Obsidian should move on from KOTOR, FO, or IWD. The possiblity of Warhammer (though I'm not a big fan of it as others are, it's alright), or PA game I'd be cool with.

"Most Iranians I have met have told me that most Iranians are quite unhappy with their theocracy." Most Iraqis were unhappy with Hussein too. "In fact they made it sound like a good portion of Irans population is just waiting to be invaded by the US." They're waiting because they kinda expect a war to take place sooner, or later. "Only the Iranians matter to the Iranians." Huh? Not in 2007. It's a global world for a reason. " There was a lot of discontent withthe regular Iranians and this happens. I thikn the Iranians are feeling pretty good about themselves and have a higher opinion of their president, which he was aiming for." I doubt the typical iranian who disliked the Iranian prez have had their opinion chnage dramatically of their prez due to this event sinc eit doesn';t effect their day to day lives at all. This little stunt by Iran accomplished nothing. It was a waste of their time, and effort.
-
"Iran steered through this conflict quite ingeniously" How though? If it was so ingenious everyone would buy it. The only ones who bought what iran was saying were those who are pro Iranian big wigs anyways. With very few exemptions.

He didn't win anything. Sure, he likely impressed ME goods; but I doubt most Westerners bought his crap. When they're released, it would serve him right if the Brits drop a bomb on his palace. They won't; but he'd deserve it. I hope they don't though b/c his staff aka slaves would be needlessly killed for his scumminess. He didn't win because he didn't get anything really substantial out of Britian from this.
-
I never said the Prez wanted to compromise; but the Demos don't either. Just be honest. It doesn't even matter what the voters want as the voters don't wnat compromise either. btw, These same voters are the ones who placed the Prez back in the WH. Bush: Want troops to stay in Iraq until our goal(s) are accomplished. DEMOS: NO, they must leave as soon a spossible. Bush: I need money to pay for the mission. DEMOS: Ok, but the troops must leave. Bush: No, that's not good. They need to stay untilt he mission is done. DEMOS: No. they must leave. That's not compromise on eithers' part. Let's be honest. A real compromise would be the DEMOS asking the Prez what exactly are his goals in iraq. Figure out what they feel he's doingw rong in trying to accomplish those goals, write a draft they feel to make that goal reachable and then stick to their guns. That would be a compromise. Afterall, the majority of the DEMOS agreed to the war so they should see it through until the goals are accomplished. Pulling out of Iraq just to spite Bush is retarded nor is it compromise.
-
The Demos don't want to compromise though. That's the problem. They're saying either our way or no way. That's not compromise.
