"a) there was very little diolouge in PST that you HAD to read b) very little of the diolouge was a waste of the players time" a) If you wnated to get anything wortwhile out of playing PST, you surely had lots to read. Unless... you played PSt for its combat. L0L b) L0L Seriously? You musta played a different PST than i did. A lot of dialogue was wasteful. Geez.. Just that one museuem type place with that goofball who spouts his Blood War nonsense overdulged dialogue spamming. As for ME, being too 'wordy'... Lots of the writing cna be ignored. ie The Codex/Journal. You could play the entire game and just click the stuff on theright side to get to the point of the convo. The 'investigative' type options are all on the left side. If you want to ignore dialogue in ME as much a sposisble; you cna. Though... just like PST, what's the point since one of ME's strengths is it's dialogue (though it has silliness too, heh). I find it a compliment for ME to be considered 'too wordy' when people were just poopooing it as an action rpg in the same way as a BGDA or Diablo is. L0LLIGAGZ! P.S. i do find the review funny though. Give him props for that!

KotoR 3: Ideas, Suggestions, Discussion, Part 24
Volourn replied to SteveThaiBinh's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
"Go through the game again as dark this time. As far as a new combat system, please no! There isn't another game with a system quite like KOTOR.There are similarities and attempts at copying, but I don't think the mimics do it as well as KOTOR." Funnily enough, KOTOR's combat is just a dumbed down/stripped down/simplified version of BIO's Aurora combat system with a dash of BIO's IE combat system thrown in. The only thing that makes it different from those game are the pretty lightsabres. I liked the KOTOR series for what it was; but it's combat was it's weakest point. Any improvement on that is a good thing. P.S. Welcome to the boards. -
"If anyne was putting children in danger it was him. " Wrong. He wa sminding his own buiosness while sleeping in his home along with his fmaily. the police officers are the ones who broke into his house acting like thugs with something to hide. The whole idea of no announce search warrants are lame. It's one thing to show up without a warning; it'a another to go all SAWT. Have the police heard of probable cause? If they didn't, they wouldn't need such a warrant in the first place. The police in this case aren't evil; but they are most certainly in the wrong. Why should innocents suffer when the police make an error in judgement? What would happen if the guy didn't shoot, and in fact, the police *were* criminals? Hmm.. I feel if the police have probably cause to enter a home without warning the least they could do is shout out 'We are the police." Afterall, the whole point of this warrants is to not give the criminals to get rid of the evidence.. well, if the officers ar ein the house, the criminals really cna't do that. And, look at this. As soon as the man figured out they wer ecops, he put down his gun. That's pretty intelligent though could be risky considering the kind of arrogance and violence police are willing to commit if someone opposes then.

Sequels you wish were being made

JE2 (underrated game) ME2 (oh yeah, it's being made, HAHA!) BG3 (continue the atcual story whioch still has huge potential if you actually use your imagination) ARC2 (not gonna happen, though) -
ME, and Hoyle Card games. R00fles!

l0l That comic illustrates ME's greatest strength role-playing wise. ME may not be the best game at C&C; but determinibg how your character reacts to situations and personality, it's awesome.

Bastila is a wannabe Aribeth. I'll give her a 7. Ari was a 9.

Finished the game earlier today. A very good game. I'd rate it around 88-90. Inventory is horrible. C&C is not FOish; but still pretty good. Dialogue is awesome, and ME - for the most part - is a very mature game and not because of alien sex or naked skin. The combat is awesome. The story is solid. My biggest beef with the story is SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER. The characters stand up to the best of BIO's past npcs. I think side quests are undderrated (this is different than disucssing repetitive terrain/buildings, btw). c00L10 BEAN1O INDEE10 !!! P.S. ME > KOTOR

Yes, youa re right. Anyways, I finished the game just now. Thed ending was good; but I still was expecteing a lot more flash. Can't wait for the sequel. Ilos was below epxectations - espicially after the absolutely awesome Virmire. The situation with Wrex was really explosive. I was playing a Paragon; but I did a practice test with the Renegade options, and it was very, very cold. WOW! The music in the end game paths is beyond phenomenal (even comapred to the rets of the upper class music you can hear). My romance with Ashley was cool. The love scene was no biggy though you actually get a naked butt shot of Ah's ass, lol (don't worry, it lasts like 1 sec), and a tease of showing her boobies. The dialogue there cna be somehwat cheesy; but then again, that's kinda expected with any type of romance. HA! I really hope ME2 uses a lot of your important (and not so important) choices in ME2. For my ending i chose to save the Citedal, and made the obvious choice and put Captain Anderson on the council as my choice candidate. I lvoe being able to talk Saren out of indoctrination. Too bad he kills himself. Sorviegn wass aesome, and I wish he had a bigger role as the dialogue with him on Virmire (which wa smy fave main world planet followed by Noveria, not counting Citedal). HATED inventory. Loved combat. Mako was okay; but I hope it's upgradeable in ME2 so it has more rpgness to it. ME > KOTOR

Well, I just completed Feros. A very well done planet. The plant creature (thorian) was a site to behold though I wish it had a little more oompth to its defenses though. The thing reeked of a dark alien (lol) acient evil intelligence. Love how you could handle the settlers. Your decision here do have consequences to be sure. To destroy or to save an entire colony. Too kewl for skewl. I think side quests (as opposed to side planets) are underappreciated in ME. I've noticed a patter, however, that powerful beings in the ME universe really love to control others. HA! It's all about control. Love the Skyway, and how you can actually jump/fall off and plummet. Heh. the Rachni seem cool. I don't think they're as evil as initially presumed (seemed to have been subtley controlled by the Reapers when they did their earl;er rampage). I'm sure we'll meet them in ME2. The krogan, on the other hand, seemed to have their ill fate destined because opf their piss poor attitude. I'm surprised how fast some people are completing this game. I've played for like 35 hours, and still not enar the end. I'm figuring it'll 45-50 hours at least. OMGZ! P.S. ME > KOTOR

M games that would have been better rated AO

The bigotry in this thread is amazing. 2007 humanity is not that enlightened... something we share with ME's version of humanity. L0LLIGAGZ! -
M games that would have been better rated AO
Volourn replied to Calax's topic in Computer and Console
ME's 'sex scenes' are harmless. There are more importabt reasons for it to get a M rating though even if IK feel it could ahve been rated T. -
I don't think it's neccessarily true that they get paid for good reviews (though, I'm sure it does happen from time to time); but pressured/'swayed' into it; that's very believeable. No doubt about it.

Meh. can't say I'v heard/read his stuff. Sounds typically sci fi. BIO did mention that did lots of research, and were heavily influenced by classic sci fi (as I'm sure this guy was). Them 'ripping' him off isn't the end of the world (espicially since he was probably influenced by previous sci fi writers as well). As for the party members, and people saying they're lacking what previous BIo efforts had. I'm sorry that's wrong. Most of the companions have more depth. Ashley is a prime exmaple of that. WOW! I alternate respetcing her, and wanting to push her into space. I'm also have a subtle but good infleunce over Garrus. Impressive. And, they talk a reaosnable amount, imo. 26 hours in, level 30, and just finished Noveria. A decent destination though it lacked as many side quests as I'd have liked. The main part (including its conclusion) was pretty awesome, though. WOWSERS! ME > KOTOR

You want the rape!?! You can't handle the rape! P.S. ME is still awesome. And, superior to KOTOR. Did I mention that already? Oh yeah, I did.

Cool. To make combat more managable, don't afraid to pause, and user powers (both yours and allies). It's been a while since I've played a game I've died this much, and most of my deaths could ahve been avoided if was a lot more careful, and actually used my powers. Heh. Enemies are much easier when they're floating harmlessly in the air, that's for sure. L0L

Never heard of the guy. Either way the game is entertaining. Of course, it does have wekaness. Let's say it together: I N V E N T O R Y ! ! ! What does that spell!?! CRAP!!! I just landed on the second plot planet. I've played for 23 hours or so, and am level 23. Just got a special class as well. And, i rejected the advances of a wannabe lover. HA!

After each main quest, they will talk to you a bit.

I know what Muso means. That creature is annoying. I had to be tricky to beat it. Had to find a hill and a place where it's spit attack couldn't hit me but it wouldn't dive back down under the ground. It also loves to flip the mako. Urgh. The Thresher Maw most definitely lives up it's name. Mako is fun; but the ride can be annoying when trying to go up and down and around mountains. pesrop was the biggest founder here as I'm trying to get used to it's controls. 18 hours in, and still withg lots to go as I only did one main quest world. Level 19 woot!

"you love anything with Bioware stamped on it!" While this is true for the most part, it's a confusing stastement to make in this situation when I post ME > KOTOR since both of thsoe are BIO games. @ meshugger about npcs: Some of them are one dimensional but I say Ashley, and Garrus have some great depth to them, and Wrex is pretty good too. the other thre, yeah not so much to date. I'll explain why later when i finsih. I do agree, not being allowed to speak with them while exploring is silly though they do comment on things that happen and what they see as well as interject conversations. I love their retorts if you click on them in combat though. Heh.
