  1. Why not just call it "The PC vs Xbox thread horribly warped from its original context, then revisited" Curse my poor choice of title. I will once again finish this discussion. 1) The best option is to own a PC AND an XBox. Like me. Why? Because there are fantastic games on Xbox you can't get on PC, and my PC is a powerhouse. 2) KOTOR 2 has some serious technical problems, so I'm told. Therefore, if you own an XBox AND A PC (Like me), AND KOTOR 2 PC AND KOTOR 2 XBOX. Please let me know which you had least trouble with, because I don't want to buy the game twice, unlike KOTOR 1. PC Owners who don't own an Xbox CAN'T COMMENT. Xbox owners whp don't own a PC CAN'T COMMENT. That was what my thread was about. Since yours is on a wholly different topic, I say that the best answer to your PC vs. Xbox question is to own both. If you can't afford that, and need a workplace at home, getting a cheap PC and an Xbox is better than just getting a Mother PC, if you like multiplayer parties, Halo and Jade Empire, and saving money. In terms of raw brute power, there is no competition, and I'm not going to insult anyones intelligence by saying which.
  2. No problem, the new game could import an old savegame in order to pull out the specifics without further user interaction. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> but you see. what about those who do not have the previous installments? they would have to go out and buy those installments. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dedicated fans deserve more. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What if you just uninstalled the other 2 KOTORs and all the saved data. Then what? <_< You're screwed? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well...never mind, I can't argue that, its a good point. Touche. I still think the 2 PC's thing is a good idea. The whole Icewind Dale thing. That could even be expanded so that you can choose which NPC's you take with you in KOTOR 3, like in Throne of Bhaal. I hope a Dev is reading this... <_< Hear me Obsidian/Lucas Arts? I still have faith in your abilities. Polish KOTOR 2 and develop the bejeezus out of KOTOR 3.
  3. This doesn't make any sense. Your post contained spoilers, which I do not care to read in a NO SPOILERS forum. So don't do it. Is that easy enough for you to grasp? NO SPOILER FORUM = NO SPOILERS. What you failed to realize is that you are not the one who decides when and where the rules apply. Therefore, post spoilers in a spoilers forum, if you are incapable of discussing writing ability without spoliers. Ooh, ooh, please don't insult my intelligence, please! It might destroy my self-esteem. Are you bright enough to figure out this simple equation? THIS FORUM = NO SPOILERS Heres a better list, for you. Read the rules again. Realise that growing up does not involve letting other people wantonly break rules. Don't post spoilers in this forum again. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ok child..your stupidity annoys me..what part of "don't bother me again" don't you understand? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wow! I haven't been called a child in over a decade! Really brings back memories. What part of no spoilers don't you understand? Do you always respond with illogical insults when your mistakes are addressed? Points to ponder, my heated friend. Look, maybe Hell-fiend was too much, but it was sarcasm, and you did break the rules. Lets just move on. The Moderators obviously agree with me, as they moved the thread. I won't be posting you again.
  4. This should be interesting. Is Revan a first name, Last name or did the character simply have one name instead of a given and family name? My opinion, you say? I haven't got a clue.

  6. Oh yeah! I also remember having to use a random number generator to get your ability points! (Baldur's Gate) Man I ahted that. Best I ever got for my human Bhaalspawn was 18/65 strength, if I remember correctly.
  7. What was your final characters level breakdown? It always seemed to me that the pistols were almost useless. I never got HK-47 to be useful, and even Mission ended up with a sword in my game...I'm curious to hear any of your "bounty hunter party" stories/tactics.
  8. You come up with the weirdest "get to know you" games But hey, at least your friendly! Seriously though, I think the Moderators will move this thread because it has nothing to do with KOTOR, just to warn you. P.S. Nice Background
  9. It is meta = beyond, physics = physics. Basically science can't prove anything beyond what it can observe in a laboratory, and fails to explain the finer points of hunamity's humanity (sorry Materialist Scientists of the world), Metaphysics deals in the Philosophy of ideas outside of science's reach. Its not so much a belief system as an Academic discipline.
  10. Visas Marr, still strongly the leader. Good good. But BastilAribeth is still my favourite Bioware character since Viconia.
  11. KOTOR was a series that could have gone so far. But if exactly what you say comes to pass, I'll be happier than I am now.
  12. Funny, sence this is how I would describe the storyline of KotOR II:TSL. And lets face it, If KotOR's Storyline was a copy from NWN OC then KotOR II is the bastard child of PS:T. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm impressed you actually implied that KOTOR 2's story is predictable and shallow...wow you must have been able to really anticipate: SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER Dont call it shallow...because everyone in this forum liking it or not, knows it isnt. That's why people were wondering what happened when they got to Malachor V the first time through <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What is wrong with you? Stop with your spoiling, hell-fiend.
  13. Well, sadly, I think your poll missed out the two religions Lucas borrowed most heavily from, Zen Buddism and Scientology. Zen Buddism because they believe heavily in Asceticism (Almost no belongings), Meditation, Will fight as a last resort, mystical and detached from everyday life, celibecy, belief that there is a spiritual force inherent in all things. I believe whole-heartedly that Lucas got the idea of the FOrce from Scientology. THey believe that every living creature are posessed by microscopic creatures called Thetans, who can empower us, guide us etc and are neutral on the moral scale. If you read most of the Scientology stuff, you could just replace "Thetan" with "THe Force", and it would all sound like it came out of an EU novel. Jedi are like forcing Zen Monks to live in a world controlled by the thetans. So I vote Zen/Scientology, and not any of the poll choices.
  14. Sorry, I disagree. I think that the writers are NOT the problem here.
  15. Josh from Scotland, or New York, depending on the time of year (I have to work in both places, sigh). I've been a fan of Bioware since Baldur's Gate was an anticipation. Love the BG, IWD, NWN and KOTOR universes, and Jade Empire is going to be awesome. Better luck next game Obsidian, and Lucas Arts...your just lucky I ike Starwars so much. <_<

  17. Kensai. Just because. I've always thought so anyway. I don't know much about the different classes though. Props for the super-original post/poll
  18. Tell-tail signs of a veteran poster #87: Deep burning anger at having to be submitted to the 13,492 "my hero is bigger than your hero" poll.
  19. No need to apologize. Have a cookie. 11xHooah - Thats what I liked about Fable. No hidden past. You new were you came from and you could take the wheel and go your own way. Although I will admit that they rather overemphasised the whole "growing up" thing. Your childhood lasted like 5 minutes, and there was no sense of Epic timescale about your character aging.
  20. Just because 2 people have 2 different ethic systems, does not make either of them wrong. also people are debating this with you because people should not tolerate intolerence. and the United States is not the best place to live. if you think that then no wonder other countries hate us. Scandinavia has the highest standard of living because of their socialist Goverment. and do you know anything about chineese religion anyway, rationality is on their side when it comes to the Iron fist Jesus has here. Buddism that deals w/ a constantly changing world and believes that we are not fundamently flawed. and when you say your agaainst dictators i get the feeling you mean you turn the cheek until someone pisses you off that justifys your support. not all dictators arebad, and america use to support them all over the world after WW2 to stop the supposed threat of communism. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Read the very first post of this thread, then read this. You've gotta laugh :D . Or maybe cry. Yeah, your "desperately" wrong alright. Buddism and Communism have nothing to do with how KOTOR 2 runs on either platform...sorry to ruin your theory.
  21. I said "If Dark, they turn on each other". The splitting the game would work, but I'd prefer not to do that. If what Darth Frog said about coying the info from a save game file was possible, I wouldn't mind the Exile being an NPC at all.
  22. Why Troika? Did they make Fable?
