I read the readme but the games have the same engine and I think people with supported cards have the same problem. so... Unfortunately, they updated something in KOTOR 2 and now the game needs OpenGL 1.4 hardware support on ATI cards. The game might run, but until we find a better solution, it won't run well. Sorry. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just a quick point; KotOR I needed OGL 1.4 as well, and if you look in the requirements.ini file in the utils folder in your KotOR2 directory, you'll see that the recommended OGL version for ATI cards appears to be 1.3, not 1.4.

I agree with Csargemg- one of the main underlying themes in KotOR II is that the Jedi Order is flawed, that instead of confronting what it fears- the madalorians etc, they run away from it, or try and hide it under the carpet. This was too deeply engrained for them to just cast off, My favourite master was Atris- show me a young woman with a troubled past and white hair, and I'm on all fours! Did anyone else see the more than passing resemblence between Atris and Brigitte Fonda's Snow Queen?

No. Not because I didn't like the cut endings- I loved them. Not because I thought the released ending was enough- because it wasn't. But because its too late. The cut endings aren't the real endings... they're cut endings. What we have is now KotOR canon, for better or worse. I don't want to offend anyone here, but live with it. Move on. KotOR 3 will come, in time, and maybe that will give Obsidian (I really hope it stays with them) the chance that they deserve to realise this story's potential- to add in all the features and the kind of endings intended for this game. Be calm. Have patience.

The US version doesn't need it. All the patch does is fix the pdf manual, which for some reason was broken on everything except the US version. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, i dont think so, cuz they might be workin on the us version patch to fix bugs, etc <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, adrich is right, the only reason there wasn't a US "patch" (if that term can be applied) was because the US pfd document wasn't corrupted, and so didn't need it. If they are working on a patch, then it won't be a US exclusive patch, it'll be international and it'll be version 2.01 or whatever, instead of te seemingly random decimal that they had on this last "patch".

I said Revan and the Exile, but you'd have to think up a damn good reason for them not having any force ability.... so I would suggest that there was a third PC, but that later on you could get Revan and the Exile in your party. I just didn't feel that that went into any of the poll categories...

Apparently, but even with the 4.11's the open gl drivers don't get above 1.4 for me. I'll put the 5.2's on and see if they do, but I'm not hopeful... might be something to do with having an IGP.

In ur position, personally I'd try and return it, and buy the FF game- if Kotor 2 is patched and works later then you can buy it again for a reduced price in a couple a months anyway. Just check the forums everyonce in a while for success stories.

Have you got any DVD/cd copying software on your PC? There's a sticky on the Lucasarts forums about the problems with some of that software and a workaround for it- the symptoms you have sound similar to that bug. Take two und call me in ze mornink!

I know ur frustrated Boba, but snapping at people and starting arguments (albeit unintentionally) and getting banned will help nobody, and certainly won't make the devs take complants seriousely. Keep it cool.
