  1. You need to go outside the doctor's office (which is near the cantina). That should trigger an event with a man who approaches you and says that there's been a murder for which Dhagon has been arrested (something to that effect). Then you go talk to Captain Riiken outside the air tower, head back to the cantina, and begin doing the body of the investigation by talking to the people inside.
  2. The assistant commander is Berun, that guy who wants you to spy on Zherron (outside of Adum Larp's shop). You can get him to speak up for the Jedi (just start asking him about Jedi... the choices are pretty obvious), but it doesn't solve that stupid unfinishable Redemption quest. The only change to the quest comes if you actually tell that idiot Tarn that you're a Jedi or are somehow unable to conceal your identity from him, in which case it says that you revealed yourself to the wrong person (something to that effect). People will stop talking after you wave your lightsaber around, but it doesn't seem to impact the major NPCs (administrator, Zherron, etc.) as far as I can tell...
  3. Awww, I always did love the Candy-man (not counting Carth who's number one to me <snicker>) and was glad to see him back, even with that <bleeping> helmet! But seriously, I would agree that Canderous definitely seemed to be on the verge of changing at the end of KoTOR. I'm still trying to make myself go dark side, so if there's anything interesting about Revan and what happened between Canderous and Revan in the Outer Rim/Unknown Region/wherever I have yet to see it firsthand (unless you count Kreia talking to him about being abandoned by Revan, etc. etc.). Darn, I'm not sure I can bring myself to incite rebellion on Onderon next time around... <chuckle>
  4. Eh? When I went through I got to the stand off between the remote and goto but nothing else happend after that. Is something missing here? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jshall is referring to missing dialogue that shows HK rescuing the remote & destroying "the fat one" aka G0T0 on Malachor, dialogue that you can find by searching through your assorted KoTOR 2 sound files/dialogue file (I forget which one this fell under specifically, might have been the dialogue file...). It is an example of still more content that was supposed to be in the game and which would have cleared up that whole Malachor mess (much like the actual ending(s) that should have been in there)! <chuckle> Anyway, if you haven't visited ye olde Cut Ending Stuff thread, this missing scene is mentioned somewhere in there (the link is below). Feel free to wade through it if you want the details. I think this was discussed somewhere within the first 30 pages... but I take no responsibility if you become depressed or angry after reading about what was removed from the game. http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=29764
  5. Ooo, nice work! Now, if only I could get away with actually having Atton/Carth plastered on the desktop...
  6. Hehe, as a LSF my fave was Force Enlightenment! After clicking master speed, master valor, etc. a couple zillion times it was nice to have an all-in-one power. As far as using DS powers, I did have Kreia use insanity quite a bit. Yep, she's my go-to DS person! <chuckle>
  7. Ah, NOW her line about making a choice makes sense! Woohoo, thank you LA & OE, I'm just so glad that I now have one more thing to be disappointed about!<sarcasm>
  8. Go figure, I FINALLY got more dialogue with Bao-Dur & turned him into a jedi minutes ago. Apparently I just didn't drag him around with me enough the first time through <chuckle>. In case fellow LS Bao-Dur fans want a smidge more of chit-chat with their favorite Zabrak and would like to learn how to turn him into a jedi (amazingly simple as it turns out), read the spoiler below! SPOILER BELOW SPOILER BELOW SPOILER BELOW, etc. Apparently, all you need is to increase his influence twice, once on Dantooine & once on Nar Shadaa. On Dantooine, as I imagine you already know, you'll gain influence with Bao-Dur during Saedhe's quest when you let Bao-Dur examine the atmospheric sensors & praise him. Once that's done talk to Bao-Dur until you're stuck with the "1. Nevermind" option in your dialogue menu with him (whether or not choosing the supportive options has an actual impact I'm not too sure of, but I stuck with the light side options because I was LS, natch). After Dantooine, hit Nar Shadaa & take Bao-Dur with you. When you get to the man being harassed by the two exchange thugs around the central pit at the refugee landing pad & rescue him by paying the thugs (heh, don't force persuade them to jump into the pit now ), you'll gain influence with Bao-Dur! When you talk to him new dialogue options will finally come up & you can convince him to let you teach him the ways of the Force! Wheeeeeee! You should make sure he's the only one with you just to be safe during the Nar Shadaa encounter, although I had Disciple with me at the time as well.
  9. At least you have the guy with the beard who looks half-way decent! Try picking one of the Asian females (seeing as I'm female & half-Chinese, I was hoping there'd be just one decent looking one...), talk about disappointing!! I gave up & chose that Nordic blond chick portrait the second time through because it was the only one I found even remotely aesthetically pleasing.
  10. Yeah, I loved how Kreia charged up that ramp at the Czerka encampment all on her own on my first time through! Well, at least she did have the stun droid line so it wasn't a total disaster <chuckle>.
  11. Yep, Kevin Richardson was the guy who did the narration in the BG series, AND he was Jolee Bindo in KoTOR. As far as I can tell, he wasn't listed among the VO talents in this game, although I also could have sworn that was him as Master Zez (remarkably similar voice if that wasn't him). However, I think it's safe to say that Ed Asner will not be making an appearance in KoTOR 3 as Vrook after the events of KoTOR 2, hehe.
  12. I went with Sion! He's got more personality than Nihilius, and frankly, Kreia/Darth Traya got on my nerves with her reactions every time I did something "good". If not for the constant complaining, I might have gone with her instead <chuckle>.
  13. I've got mixed feelings about KoTOR 2, but considering the ending (such as it is) it seems necessary that the Exile will be involved in KoTOR 3, so I voted for Revan & the Exile. That being said, I'd like the focus to mainly be on Revan, as that's the character I'm more attached to. I would also hope that they allow the player to have the option of choosing between male/female Revans & Exiles of course.
  14. Well, I would've voted for Carth, but since he's not an option I went for the next best, which was Atton. Yep, a girl just can't resist a scoundrel! <snicker>
  15. Well, let's see here: 1) I want an actual ending, not some sham being passed off as an ending (one that was totally lacking in any emotional impact whatsoever too might I add). 2) I want to see the robot planet/HK factory. 3) I would like for combat to be a bit more challenging than it was. Yes, slicing through hordes of enemies like a hot knife through butter WAS fun, but only for so long. I finally had to set it to difficult on the second time through & gimp myself for a challenge (note to self: try being a consular in the future...) 4) Better implementation of influence/triggers so that the NPC stories have better pacing. 5) NO BUGS! Okay, since that's impossible, let's just say fewer bugs. 6) Resolution to previous romances/stories for chrissake (Revan/Carth & the Exile/whoever the heck) 7) Speaking of those romances, in case they throw in new characters in KoTOR 3, any "romances" had better be more well-written than they were in KoTOR 2. I also want to see Coruscant if they could manage to stuff that in (if they're not going into the unknown regions anyway) & the room of the Thousand Falling Waters that Kreia was talking about. 9) After all this talk about the true Sith in KoTOR 2, I want to see some "real" Sith. 10) I would also like quests that I can complete and that I won't have hanging over my head for all of eternity (curse that TSF bounty on the murderers!). 11) Please, two times on Korriban is enough! No more trips to Korriban unless you come up with something REALLY good! 12) I would like to see Telos again, post-restoration.
  16. Hmm, well I spoke to Kreia when I was level 15 on Dantooine (on the planet, not inside the Ebon Hawk) & got to choose my prestige class. Just make sure to save before talking & pick that option about the higher mysteries of the force.
  17. Well, I usually max out my two-handed feat & use two single-bladed sabers because of the extra crystals (color-wise I prefer silver and/or viridian... or blue, what can I say, I have a hard time making decisions ).
  18. Hold on, did Grenn react to you or say anything at all when you went to Telos? I got Vogga to agree to ship fuel to Telos, but according to G0T0 the situation on Telos was never resolved even though I did manage to supply them. Technically, I did things in an odd order, ie., blew the yacht up first before ever talking to Vogga so I don't know if that messed things up. Grrrr, just don't tell me this is another thing that I'll never be able to finish! I'm still stuck with the bounty on the murderers even though I ran into them after talking to Lorso (they didn't show up on the surface of Telos as promised, mutter).
  19. I think it started out well enough, then all the subquests that were removed & lost content made the game feel disjointed and incomplete for the most part. Some of the things that really ticked me off (aside from that hideously lame ending) were the missing HK factory & the complete lack of any decent exposition during the latter stages of the game. The player shouldn't be forced into filling all the blanks themselves due to failings on the developer's part. I'm all for using your imagination to color in details for yourself, but not to fill giant, gaping (and occasionally confusing) holes where it's clear that important content was excised.
  20. What's odd is that I DIDN'T send him into the temple, but that option about how he seems different after Dxun still comes up. I actually sent in Visas, Mira & Disciple. Personally, I thought Bao-Dur was interesting at the start, but with two dialogues & then nothing (other than the nevermind option) his story didn't seem to go anywhere...
  21. Well, if comes down to choosing between pazaak or swoop-racing, I'd choose pazaak (amazingly, I do find pazaak fun too). Besides, it is an easy way to make some quick creds, especially with that Ithorian on Dantooine near the Ebon Hawk's landing pad.
  22. Wince, well I guess that means it's yet another exercise in futility then. Although, I must say that I'm pretty sure that I ran over two dead pads a couple of seconds after accelerating (on the other hand, at least two occured right after I accelerated). Meh, go figure. I think I'll just swear off it then unless I find a cheat, sigh.
  23. Ermm, this may be a little late for you, but when that dialogue-skip thing first happens you can either go to your journal after it happens & check the message log if you want to do it the lazy way (it'll have all the dialogue you missed), or you can exit the game completely & start it up again from Windows which should resolve that issue and make everything go back to normal speed (which is why I quicksave a whole lot, heh).
  24. I'm having a bit of trouble with the swoop racing, and I just wanted to ask this: is it possible to win on any of the swoop courses without cheating? The best I did on Citadel Station was 43.08 seconds or something close to it for second place. The problem is that I would steer over several acceleration pads on the course that apparently did not function. My speed was NOT boosted even though I ran right over the f------ things, so I'm wondering if it's buggy (what a surprise that would be <sarcasm>) or if the "dead" pads were some sort of intentional thing that maybe wasn't mentioned in the swoop racing instructions. I've tried running the same course dozens of times at this point & the same thing just keeps happening. Of course, if someone has a cheat I can use I'd be grateful as this is just irritating the hell out of me (and I'm already irritated enough with the game as is ).
  25. I have had a few of those bugs. Specifically, I've experienced the speeded up text issue & sound suddenly disappearing from cinematics/cut-scenes on occasion (easily resolved by exiting the game completely & starting it up again). As for the others, thus far I never had a problem with disappearing feats & so forth. However, there were a few irritating unresolved quests. I don't know what happened with the Telos fuel supply issue, quite possibly I did it in the wrong order or something. I talked to Vogga about G0T0 AFTER coming back from G0T0's yacht, so maybe that's what it was. At any rate, the Telos issue was never resolved according to G0T0 (did manage to get paid for Dantooine & Onderon). Plus, there was the Jedi reputation thingy which never resolved (if it was even supposed to), what was the deal with that one? The defense of Khoonda was a little screwy too, as people whom I neglected to ask to join the militia before the battle still have that option popping up after I visited them later (like the salvagers).
