  1. The Weather Man. Purposely slow pace and some characters who are rather unlikable through most of the movie, yet I liked it quite a bit, especially for the running gag of tossing things at at Cage, this one bit where he's supposed to go out and get tartar sauce, and Michael Caine. Nice to see Caine again. He was great.
  2. If you mean during the endgame stuff, no, there's not.
  3. I like Disciple quite a bit but that sig scares even me for some reason.
  4. Walk the Line, the Johnny Cash biopic. 6.5/10 Pretty good if you like these kinds of movies, although they could've played a bit more music...it's also the first movie where I actually liked Reese Witherspoon. I don't hate her or anything, she's just never seemed anything but average before. Joaquin Phoenix was decent as Cash, but imo he did over-act it a little bit.
  5. Single-player D2 + Plugy mod + ATMA...omg the collecting frenzy!
  6. The editor is a much better way to cheat for fun, if you're bored...
  7. I Think We're Alone Now, Tommy James & The Shondells
  8. I like this link tho.... http://www.nasa.gov/centers/glenn/research/warp/socanwe.html
  9. A google on warp drive yields quite a few topics about the current theory/research into interstellar speed. But I can't understand any of them....
  10. After waiting for a few minutes and seeing nothing but a single pong ball and the 'transferring data' msg, I assume I either need to upgrade my Flash or it's just monstrous huge.
  11. RTS games with a sense of humor and are different from the typical AoE sort of standard. Unfortunately there aren't too many of those so it's usually RPG & RPG-lites. And the occasional action/adventure. I don't care much about story, really...RPG's & Strategy just has more tinkering to obsess over...
  12. Blues...mostly hubby's and old rock's influence, whch is made obvious in my case by liking the blues that is more 'rock-y' in beat. My hubby has a lot of his stuff...along with an extensive collection of other blues artists, old to new. Half of it I won't let him play in the house w/out headphones because it literally hurts my ears.
  13. I needed a break from shooting monsters so I slapped around some imps to make vampires, instead.
  14. 30 second clip of Pinky demon's introduction. (1.8MB) I liked the music and the pounding on the door, oooo the suspense. No matter how good I become at making .avi's smaller they still come out bigger than I want. Durn vid. tech. EDIT: Ok, here's a fuzzier version that's smaller in loading time. (920kb)
  15. Pearl Harbor was terrible. Well, ok, not so terrible that I turned it off, but still pretty bad. Didn't help that I can't stand Benny boy, I suppose.
  16. First 3rd of Brother's Grim. That's all I could watch. Wasn't terrible, just not my thing/I got bored and went to play a PC game instead. Visually interesting tho.
  17. There's a lot of older generation actors that really should know when to stop making movies before they make fools of themselves and ruin their vaunted reputation...tho for some it's already too late. Oh...Hooper and Sutherland were in some stupid movie about 60's nostalgia in the late 80's that was pretty cute. Not a good movie, but cute. Can't remember it's name...(eidt - Flashback, 1990...and Blue velvet is weird & over-rated)
  18. Constant flashlight would ruin most of the suspense factor of the game, IMO. Without that, it'd just be another dim shooter where you run around and shoot stuff every corner. Plus yeah, the decision of dark vs. gun ready...I tried to make a short clip showing early flashlight use but it loses a lot when it's so small and brief. Hard to take movies in this game, everything's so fast. Zombie coming up the stairs - featuring my terrible pistol shooting skills. Forgot to synch the sound to frame rate, so it's a little off. Oh well. (590kb) And to stay on topic...a screenshot of an imp teleporting. Ooo, pretty.
  19. Looks like it was a fun party with some great pics, thanks for sharing them. ...are you holding a pickle?.....
  20. The fireball tossin' Imp. I kind of miss the pixely, brown, bigfoot looking guys from Doom1 tho... Alrighty then....I'll stop w/the Doom pics for a while. Haha!
  21. Oh, forgot...for those who haven't played Doom3, a tiny clip of the turkey puncher game. It had me rofl for some time... Turkey Puncher clip (285kb)
  22. Heh, yeah, I read one review where the reviewer said he started ignoring half the pickups to avoid ambushes... Still...I think they did a very nice job atmosphere wise. The flashlight business adds a lot, imo.
  23. Doom3. Not having played a shooter of any kind in some time, I'm very rusty at aiming and shooting...but it looks good, and the atmosphere is even creepier/more horror than System Shock2. I spent a couple hours in the 'starter area' exploring and playing/giggling over that turkey game, and since then, I've only managed to finish the Mars Underground section because the creepiness stresses me out enough that I can't stand to play very long in one sitting. Funny how a horror/suspense film doesn't scare me but games can - guess it's the interactive aspect maybe...
  24. Shooting a zombie, and it's really frakkin dark in this game (there's stairs in the middle of the dark pic, but you can't see them...)...if you have to reload your gun, you'd think you'd have to put new batteries in your flashlight...but nooo....
  25. Yeah, I'm loving that aspect. And the sentry droids...I want one of those, little robotic puppies...Super Turbo Turkey Puncher, Threeee....yes, I'm going to be up all night...
