I don't like Steam either...and I have tried it. Mostly because I don't feel like I own the game & I'm too old fashioned to get into this new tech age way of doing things I guess. It feels restrictive, somehow. But I may have to reinstall it/start using it occasionally simply because it's becoming harder & harder to find the more obscure/low budget or older games I might have missed, cause they're all on Steam (or it's competitors). hahah ...but it'll never be my primary way of purchasing games. Bah humbug.

I don't have any forums that are "my" forums. One month I post here, another month I might post there....I guess I like variety. Plus whatever I happen to be into at the time dictates frequency, and I'm very mercurial in that regard. But I will admit that there are two forums (including this one) that I tend to drift back to on a semi-regular basis, even after 8+ years.

I've been there. Pleasant place. It's where I took the pic of the tired lemur & meerkats that I probably posted here ages ago. Do they still have those? :D Yesterday a big black crow decided to whack itself against our front window several times. I've had tiny songbirds do that, but never a bird of this size before. Glad it didn't break a window pane, they're not very strong. It was so dazed it stumbled around the front patio area for a long while, as his buddy in the trees cawed & laughed at him. Today I'm waiting for some test results. Waiting always makes me nervous. And I have a headache.

Uh...well, I suppose this would depend on your definition of buzzed vs. stoned. And your personal biological chemistry. But I don't know anyone in the circles I was in who would have agreed with that one bit. Especially as (street) weed became stronger and stronger. It's not like having the ability to drink only 1 beer, which vast majority wouldn't find to make them even tipsy. Hubby I used to discuss this possibility at lot, Gorgon. That there's an "addictive" genes or whatever other genetic aspects make one more prone to being addicted to something, at least once exposed to it. And obviously, if you're hanging around someone who has influence over you, who's pushing you to do other stuff, that's never helpful. But I wouldn't call weed a gateway drug in general. I haven't seen/heard anything to indicate that. (edit: but then, my actual experience may be influenced by things like area & financial & drug ability of the area).

Notice they say "at this time...", leaving themselves (of course) the possibility to change their minds again. No, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. It's a business, have to cover bases. But it is there. But this is a nice 'victory' and shows they're at least listening. However....optional or not, between RealID/Facebook deals+Activision influence (I've been info-gathering) I'll wait and see what they do next before I declare never ending Blizzard love again. I already canceled my 5 and 3 year long WoW subs & this won't make me renew them. We'll see.

That's kinda my stance on it. To me it doesn't seem any worse than alcohol so I have no problem with it being legal, since alcohol is legal. But I wouldn't say using weed on a regular basis is completely harmless or without possible consequence, either.

I'm not an big audiophile or 'surround' sound fanatic but I can be really picky about my sound in certain instances. ...It's not hot today or anything, but I'm terribly tempted to shave my head, or at least the next closest thing. Sometimes hair is just too much hassle. The only thing that stops me is that unlike, say, some female singers, I doubt the look would be sexy on me. Still...I'm tempted.

Oh, yeah, silly me. Where you live would influence it a lot, if you have a very short growing season/too cold or something. Artificial lights are more of a pain in the arse to get right. Around here you can just germinate seedlings then toss them out in the backyard. I think (it feels like) half the illegal CA crops that cops like to raid, when they discover them, are people just growing them in obscure woodland park clearings.

Isn't that strange? I don't understand that either. Even if you're anonymously venting one shouldn't put in too much specific info that someone might recognize. And yet...I can kinda see the disconnect, because of the screen vs. face. I think sometimes people just forget.
