  1. It's their kinda rounded, pinata doll style that makes it "cutely/oddly" funny, I think.
  2. Postscript: I forgot to mention that while I don't require awesum graphiks, watching that video when one knows nothing about the game or the anime is admittedly a little odd. Giants with apparently no clothes as enemies. Odd yet also strangely funny. Are they supposed to be that way or is that because they haven't decided what to make them look like yet, really, so they're kinda placeholders?
  3. Hubs and I ran out of quests in Ultimate BL2...and leveling is too slow just killing enemies themselves w/no quest exp. - so finally reset Ultimate. Which is kind of cool you can do that in the last difficulty. No more having to save so many quests because you want the reward to be max level or whatever. Only 6 more levels to max, for our main co-op characters. We're both convinced, too, that they made Maliwan SMG's a lot more jiggly. Don't like them anymore. Hyperion's, that's where it's at.
  4. Can we discuss the game itself and not whether we like/dislike anime/spam pictures? Or this thread isn't going to last long.
  5. Sounds like something my husband would like. I'd probably like it too, taste-wise, but it'd be a little heavy...eggs and cheese combo is something I can't eat much of.
  6. Pacific Rim - well, it's a loud movie. I'm glad I didn't see it in the theater with today's screechy, stuff-cotton-in-my-ears, treble-boosted speaker mega systems. Liked the action stuff/visuals and the unexpected humor bits. Since I wasn't expecting anything awesome, I found it fairly entertaining. Not exciting or awe inspiring (even with the nice combat visuals) and of course full of every cliche for this type of movie ever, but entertaining.
  7. I've always liked Shane, from watching the Phillies. Had the little TV in my pc room tuned to the game while hubs and I played BL2 and in the middle of killing some big bad hubby got an earful through the headphone mic. "Shane! Wooooooooo!"
  8. @Hurl - that kind of thing can be stressful, glad it turned out she was ok. After 25+ years I've become used to not knowing exactly where hubs is/when he'll back...hubby's not a planner (or a big talker) and is the sort who never leaves a note/rarely calls - he does, now, at least say "Going for a walk," "Need to run to the office for an hour," etc. more often then not (versus literally only saying "Going out for a bit"). It's progress. I grew up with family who'd leave notes on the fridge if they were at the neighbor's for half an hour, so it took me a long time to get used to hub's super casual/taciturn ways.
  9. I always found the deep-fried Twinkie or Oreo concept pretty outrageous....I've never eaten one, btw. For all I know, it tastes great. But the thought kinda makes my stomach churn. And yeah...I saw a show about all the deep fried stuff at a fair. Booths where that's all they do ... pick anything you want, they'll deep fry it. Whole sandwiches, ice cream, etc.
  10. Baseball, gaming, goofing off, baseball, gaming, goofing off. Someone's gotta do it. Hub's been a bit put out by the baseball...he's had to play his BL2 in his office instead of the big TV. Sorry, sweetie. But baseball playoffs must be watched in HD on big screen.
  11. Made sausage/vegie fried rice last night, along with a beef roast for sandwiches. So tonight...I'm having beef sandwiches.
  12. 26 pounds? Sheesh...I had a tabby once who was about 18 pounds (not fat at all either, slim waisted). And I thought that was a hefty weight for a cat.
  13. We'll probably rent Pacific Rim sometime this weekend. I'm not expecting much, but I'm in the mood for loud mindless action and I'm curious.
  14. I don't think you can change gender...just facial/body appearance. But I don't want my main to be male, so it's moot. And the pants are BoP so I'd have to grind all over again with the one male chr. I have, who's mostly a Leadership alt. Pah.
  15. BL2 - I want one lvl 72 of each chr. class. Then I considered that I'd have to replay the game/all DLC's 3 or 4 times per chr. With 1 lvl63 siren and 1 lvl 50 Commando (no one else is above 25 or so), that still = 15+ times. Plus leveling past 60 goes pretty slow. At the rate I play, that would take me years. So I downloaded that gibbed editor instead. No clue how to use it to tick off the quests and stuff, but I can make them 72, give them lvl60ish gear, and then run through the content to Ultimate really fast. Much better. I is a big fat cheater.
  16. I wanted some gloriousily silly "golden pantaloons." Instead, I just got gold satin disco pants. I am disappoint. The male version, apparently, is more silly/poofy pantaloonish.
  17. Well that game sucked....for Red Sox fans. It was great for Tigers fans.
  18. Currently have one cat, Mr. Black. I had another, Mr. Grey, but he became ill and passed recently. In the past I've had oodles and oodles of cats over the years (most at one time: 9), so I am a big cat nutter. But I also like dwarf hamsters, squirrels, and bunnies. At some point I'll probably just stick to having a couple dwarf hamsters (vs. a cat), because they're a lot easier/cleaner to take care of. Of course...those are... ...famous last words.
  19. Previous incarnation Last couple of posts from previous thread: That's because they're not stealth games. ----------------------------------------------------
  20. Errands ... gaming. Errands ... gaming. Gosh, such a hard decision.
  21. That's baseball for you. I can recall some Beckett games (and many other pitchers of course) where they were superb but couldn't get any run support. Doesn't take away from the pitcher's effort just because the game may not have been won. But I'm still gonna victory dance.
  22. Ah. So one of their beta-like "try it out before we fully implement it" deals they're so fond of. I'll wait.
