  1. That one video I saw of Superman 64 on YouTube is still one of the funniest game reviews I've ever seen.
  2. I think it all looks fine for this stage. A little generic perhaps but fine. I'm more concerned with the gameplay being "fun" than whether the trees are the right color/height or if the trolls are troll-like enough or whatever. Not that I don't understand...first impressions and one likes what one likes etc. Been there sometimes myself. But static screens of even finished/released games are so often nowhere near representative of what one emotionally sees/feels about the mood/atmosphere/look etc. as one plays.
  3. It's been an emotional roller coaster of a month, often leaving me wrung out like a dirty dish sponge, but I'm back now, to occasionally annoy with cute kitties and mindless babble about nothing in particular. The latter of which I do very well when sleep deprived too often, as my husband can attest to. Also, this wimpy Californian is finding the 25F (-4C?) early morning to be really farking cold. I used to run around in shorts and flip flops during chilly winter rainstorms. But in another 20 years I'll probably be wrapping myself up in an afghan in the middle of summer. Hope everyone who celebrated it had a fun Thanksgiving holiday.
  4. Lynda Carter will always be Wonder Woman to me. It's not that I loved the show, really. But she is Wonder Woman in my mind. I saw a 2007 "samurai" anime film called Sword of the Stranger. Despite it's rather predictable nature, I enjoyed it a lot. I even liked the little dog. And the action sequences (and the music) that bookend the film were totally awesome - I could watch those on repeat for quite some time.
  5. Still Borderlands 2 w/hubby (he still plays it more than I do, at this point) and the occasional brief bout of Neverwinter Online. I keep looking at Steam etc. and I keep on seeing nothing that really appeals. Not that I have a lot of time/energy for gaming most days lately, anyway. But it'd be nice if I had something besides the above two things. Something new. Ah well.
  6. Strangely, now that it's available, I haven't felt like getting it. It's just my tiger reskinned anyway. Ready for the new module, if interested in it at all to begin with? Used a lot of diamonds last week, ranking up enchants to lvl6 while I could still fuse, since I don't think I'll ever be getting a lot of the new ingredient thingees that the new system will use to upgrade enchants to higher levels. I might try the new Hunter...although I'll probably get one to lvl30 then let Leadership do the rest. I like the new active companion bonus concept tho, even if it doesn't mean a whole lot. So I spent a lot more diamonds snapping up some of the better-bonus companions from the AH when they were cheaper.
  7. yeah, somewhat disturbing Any better now? *Twilight Zone music*
  8. So I suppose most of you have seen it already, but I was watching the Captain America sequel trailer (below). I had two reactions. One: "Wait, what, is that Robert Redford?" and Two: "I'm getting tired of the giant CGI ship (or boat, or robot, or whatever) that crashes into the ground from great height in semi-slow-mo." Not just in Marvel pics, I mean in all action pics. That said...I might watch it when it comes to VoD, since I saw the first.
  9. Early-waking/can't get more then a few hours in a row of sleep syndrome again the past few days. ARGH. The internetz will savez me. I've been amused at hubby the past few weeks, because after all this time playing the Borderlands games off and on, he's finally started to ... make item mules. Two or three of them. Plus using 2 PC's to flop chrs around, self-help his own chrs, and so on. Seems rather obsessed. It's almost like he's becoming ... a gamer!
  10. Wow, the new enchanting system for upgrading enchants (currently testing on the Preview shard) sounds ... complicated. Reduces the total number of R4's you need to reach, say, a R9, but will cost a lot of AD to actually upgrade them (unslotting will now cost silver/gold instead of AD). When it goes live, I bet AH prices for even R4 enchants will skyrocket. If you want high level enchants for any possible current or new chr, better start fusing or buying them now. As much as you can. Preview shard patch notes (enchant info towards the bottom) The forum discussion thread. One person's math estimation about it:
  11. The latest incarnation of all gaming news, all the time! Previous thread Last page of previous thread I've occasionally felt that way over the past couple years. Not that I ever bought many games per year to begin with, but Steam has made it easier to impulse buy several "maybes" at a time, on sale. I think I've cured myself of that one now, tho.
  12. Closing for thread length. There will be more juicy game news and gossip in the next thread.
  13. True, but at least week long stubble on guys is typically/usually considered "scruffy" or even "manly/sexy", vs. leg stubble which is generally considered "gross." Also, sheer nylons and long leg stubble do not go well together. Edit: I raked leaves today. Filled the bin. The yard looks like I didn't do anything. Drowning in leaves....
  14. This early morning (and yesterday morning) is proving once again that I feel the cold more as I get older. Or whatever. Mostly when I first wake up. Crank that heater! Also...is there an acceptable age in the US where a woman can stop shaving her legs all the time? Guys can just grow socially acceptable rock star beards if they don't feel like shaving...not fair.
  15. ...not a fan/net creation. (there was a non-singing version first, then State Farm made the remix too) "Dingle dangle!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8t2dwPTnsyA Also:
  16. Nice to see the Redsox win the WS at home.
  17. I don't celebrate it in real life, but games make it silly fun. The flame horses go with the theme pretty well, too.
  18. I'm not 100% sure offhand but I think it's something like 300 Zen for 2 chr. slots. Pretty cheap, far as Zen purchases go. And yeah...I'll have to try a Ranger. Looks potentially interesting, especially the being able to switch from bow to melee via Tab key. I've tried to do more of Sharandar occasionally (just have the 1st two boons, can only enter the 2nd daily quest hub) but doesn't really interest me. Those quests are definitely good for leveling a pet, tho. When I was logging in/changing tasks 3-4 times a day I was making a million AD per week, but the last week or so I've lost interest even in that much. Just once a day now. And I spend a few hours on the events, if they have anything I want to collect for my main DC.
  19. Walking Dead: Carol ... oh my. If it's true, for me that puts her out of the potential hard and practical but kinda badA category and into the "might be a bit too crazy" category. However, there's the possibility that instead of what she claimed to Rick, it's really that ...at least that storyline is somewhat intriguing.
  20. The Halloween event is rather simple and dull. No special combat, half the things are "temp" wearables, yet another green striker companion etc. Very disappointed the pumpkin-head mask is "temporary." But at least one can just ride around town collecting the charms/tokens via pumpkins so getting those is EZ-PZ. So in less than four hours I had a bunch of the dyes and a couple of the masks I wanted and I'm done. One guess why I wanted the mask.
  21. I needz a gif of those three kitties playing the keyboard.
  22. What the ... "the milk must flow..." Looks hilarious.
