More or less. It shouldn't be very surprising though, this *is* after all another DarthMacLeod topic.

I still don't see why people who have shown themselves to be habitual spammers/flamers are still members of this board (and no I am not excluded from that group).

Boy I just can't wait to read the modern day equivalent of 53DUC710N 0V 73H 1NN0C3N7, and I'm sure that whoever the reincarnation of Fredrick Wortham will be a blast to see on talkshows...untill the GAMING CODE comes out and games are rendered "Kid Safe"

I thought that the "Refresher Station" (SW bathroom equiv. ... at least if the ITW books are to be believed) on the Ebon Hawk were in that little room by the central chaimber (the one where HK is for most of K2).

Don't worry, I'm sure GL will re-edit the OT once again. Probably for the thirtieth anniversary release, full sexology "complete with deleted scenes and idiotic ideas that even my yes men wouldn't agree to.." and put in Qui-Gon here and there, especially in ANH for Obi-Wan. Unless it is a personal message, encrypted for Obi-Wan's neurons only ... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I heard one rumor that said that he would return the original Greedo vs. Han scene at least. And the whole OMFG LEUKA$$ RAPED MY CHILDHOOD bit has been getting old fast for years.

Did being able to play as a female influence you?
Ohma replied to dufflover's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I am male and usually play as a female (with KoTOR 1&2 I've never actually been a male...). Usually it's because I find most of the male oriented bits of the story just...blah...like the Bastila romance (barfitty barf barf) and I just get a really...dumb feeling when I play a male PC. Like a: "Grr, me am Strongarm Beefcake Dood. Me kill al bad guyz and get grlz hu huh. Look phat lewt!! LEVEL UP!!!" sort of vibe... Well...that and most game devs (for whatever reason) can't make a male PC that dosn't look just...ick...like with a butt chin and ugly stubble and scars that look dumb instead of cool and...too...frikkan...many...muscles!!! -
I still don't like that UBI didn't even wait for the FREE TRIAL PERIOD to end before they cancelled Uru...for not making enough money...
-
Or player characters. Won't somebody PLEASE think of the Game Devs?!
-
Or talk your ears off, which is far more interesting.
-
...er...could you please explain the context of what you've said here...because I could see myself being very angry with you or laughing at myself for being a reactionary dumb...person...
-
I don't see why it wouldn't work. No...really I have no idea how it wouldn't work...unless the people writing the romance decided to make it stupidly stereotypical...or they just could NOT write romance in general.... But I'm righthanded...

Yeah, that did bug me, and I hope that they fix all the *weird* quirks that the Civ3's combat had. I just hope that they manage to strike the right balance between simplicity and complexity. And I love the Pirates! engine, at least (if nothing else) the water in a Civ game will look good for once.
-
That sounds almost as good as my Zombie pirates fighting robot ninjas controlled by werewolves in space movie idea. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You should make it a musical while you're at it. 'Cause if horror movies are missing one thing, it's choreographed song and dance numbers.

A jedi killing in cold blood without povocation? Sounds like a surefire way to get some DS points there...

A 'saber without a color crystal *might* work, but without knowing exactly what the color crystal does (aside from giving the blade a color) I wouldn't know for sure. But I think the blade would still be bright and white, there just wouldn't be a color crystal to give it a different color. As for clear lasers, yeah that would work, but considering that you would still hear the blaster fire, and that there would still be some VERY obvious results when the shot hit, the usefulness of a stealth blaster would be limited. I would guess that the reason you don't see projectile weapons (aside from missiles with high yield payloads) used much in the SWG is probably because even basic SW body armor can prevent a bullet from causing more physical damage than a fall to the floor would cause.

I like that they're adopting a SE system like Alpha Cetauri had. I do hope they let you choose how long your game will be...Civ3 mad me a bit mad when I was forced to retire in 2050 (or whenever it was). I also hope that they don't screw over the units and combat...

Bah, it should've been like, a posessed chainsaw that scientists were trying to use their super magick science on, but something went horribly wrong, and now there are giant robot chainsaw zombie dinosaurs ravaging the earth...and aliens, gotta have aliens.
-
Except that it wouldn't work. A clear color crystal would just give you a bright white blade, not an invisible one.
-
Wouldn't it be just as easy (if not more so) to keep your 'saber in its hilt, so to speak? It's not like you need your lightsaber on constantly if nobody knows you're there, and, should you be discovered, you can just thumb the on button and bamf! your weapon is ready. Besides, wouldn't a clear color crystal just produce a bright white light?

Hey now, Flabo sounds like oodles of fun!

err...were you talking to me or Eddo? EDIT: nevermind :">

*sigh* First of all, the Jedi do not forbid sex, only emotional attachment. George Lucas has even said as much. ...now where did I put that quote... Here it is: from this article. And second, the peoples of the Star Wars galaxy have had interstellar travel/energy weapons/advanced robotics/medpacks/supercomputers for at the very least 20,000 years(depending where in the timeline you're looking). I highly doubt that STDs are much of a problem anymore, even on a backwater planet like Tatooine!

Idea for female characters in game...
Ohma replied to Eddo36's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Did we really spend 18 pages on that? Jeez that's depressing. I've met a lot of people who were/are racist/sexist/homophobic/whatever-ist who didn't realize that they were such because they just didn't have a reference with which to attach those labels to (I hate grammar!!), and this was in EUGENE FOOKAN OREGON, the commie-anarchist-hippie city in the pot head state.
