  1. Europeans have no power and it's only going to get worse for them in the future. Discussing US politics must be one of the few ways that they can be heard, otherwise Europe has very litle pull in the world today.
  2. That's funny. Democrats turn the Sandy aftermath into more pro Obama rhetoric, yet when Katrina happened blamed Bush for everything that went on. That's because Obama responded almost instantly while Bush took about eight months to do so. Only slightly exaggerated. Judging by the fact that almost half of the American voters voted for Romney and the fact that the American President is essentially still the most powerful political figure on the planet, I'm thinking the presidential election should not be a solely American thing anymore because if half your voters decide to prove in one fell swoop that they are mentally below voting age then your country can't handle that responsibility. I guess that's what you get when historically you owe your existence to the french. Obama came in for his photo op and then left town. That's pretty much all it takes to impress people these days. For the rest of your comment, we don't need the world's help to financial instability - we've got that covered ourselves.
  3. That's funny. Democrats turn the Sandy aftermath into more pro Obama rhetoric, yet when Katrina happened blamed Bush for everything that went on. Fact is, disasters are called disasters for a reason. Bad things tend to happen and there's no magical day after solution no matter how much money is pumped into the system.
  4. Global warming stooges are drinking again I see.
  5. What you're describing isn't Libertarianism. Don't try to mask Libertarianism as sunshine and lollipops - it's not. I haven't met a US Libertarian yet who doesn't want to eliminate the Environmental Protection Agency, tax the rich and corporations less (if at all), and take an axe to spending in healthcare and similar. The US Libertarian's hero is Ayn Rand and they tend to be very selfish people. Libertarianism isn't the cure to the US's problems. It's drinking poison to get rid of a bad stomach ache. If you don't believe in the extremism of laissez faire capitalism (a model in no way applicable to real life), then don't call yourself a Libertarian. You're confusing your terminology. Should the USA be fiscally responsible? Should the US stop being so corrupt? Hell yes! But there are ways of being fiscally responsible and non-corrupt without adopting the cancerous selfish extremism of Libertarianism. And there are plenty of countries to look to as examples of how to do so. Democrats have plenty of selfish people, so do Republicans, so does any entity that has a team mentality. Libertarians seems to have more invididual viewpoints - just as many are for healthcare as are against it for example, as opposed to Democrats and Republicans where one leans far more one way, and the other team in the opposing direction. High ranking Libertarians in the US generally have a much higher consistency with their voting records than the other two parties, more honest, and generally have a wider range of knowledge. Even if you don't agree with them, there's some things that can be learned from them and it's too bad people are so willing to cast them aside and throw away all potential value simply because they don't agree with a subject or two.
  6. Libertarian monetary policy isn't to totally abolish all government spending and leave only mobs to run the place. It's to have more control and oversight instead of having to print and borrow without the oversight of where this money is going. The endless spending also lends itself to horrible policy across the board, in all facets and it encourages a lot of bad habits.
  7. That's funny considering the Libertarian that I mentioned increased spending for education and vetoed all other spending bills as governor. Pretty impressive record but no doubt all of that work in savings has already been flushed down the toilet since he was succeeded by a Democrat.
  8. I agree that the major news networks do purposely do not cover third party candidates much. There was a third party debate hosted by Larry King, but it got very little coverage. Heh, the networks are pathetic. Here's what they end up doing - instead of talking about a party such as the Libertarian, they instead ask someone like Johnson if he's going to endorse Romney or not. Usually Libertarians won't endorse Republicans, so those networks pretty much like asking that loaded question to try and further devalue the opposing party instead of giving any credence to the actual positions of Libertarians.
  9. A "truth" engineered, run and controlled by a bunch of wannabe-Kings. As for the rest: Thanks for turning another subject into a "RT sucks lol Fox News and BBC rawks" ****storm, instead of discussing the actual video content I linked. Unfortunately, no one takes Libertarians seriously. Democrats say people are too helpless and would die if Government reduces it's grip on society and Republicans freak out from terrorism/drug phobia, and both parties are scared to death of spending cuts and functioning within their means.
  10. Another butterfly has reverted back to caterpillar status.
  11. Everytime you say "AP" an angel rips off butterfly wings. Whether you like the story or not, the integration of c&c and extreme depth of the dialogue is something Bioware can't do very well. If you were to compare it to screen writing, it'd be like comparing Smallville(Bioware) to Preston Sturdes(Obsidian) or so.
  12. I'd let Bioware do the technical things - world building, textures, sound design, etc., while Obsidian handles the story and characters with collaboration on gameplay.
  13. That's somewhat my viewpoint as well. Personally it's getting a little old with how much love Obama gets from foreigners, when in fact foreign policy is more important to said foreigners yet they're unable to see how this administration has embeded themselves in the middle east and is just continuining the same old garbage foreign policy of old. We have drones above American skies too now. The public weren't even made aware - all of a sudden they just appeared out of thin air from a law Obama signed, which no one talked about. I mean the democratic party is more republican than the republicans in some ways. But, with that said, even though Romney appears to have a better economic plan on the surface, is he really going to cut spending? Will he fix anything or will we continue to snowball and continue more or less on the same track? I personally don't think there will be much of a difference between the two candidates. I've got a feeling that Romney is going to win the popular vote but Obama will take the electoral - all he has to do is win 3 states and he's got nearly all of them.
  14. Strewth, mate. Bloody hell.
  15. I picked it up as well. I haven't installed it yet but I was just wondering if it controls better on a console than a PC. Do you plan on playing it with a gamepad? After playing the rigid NWN2 and getting tired of it, I'm currently alternating between all open world games - Just Cause 2, Saints Row 3, Skyrim and soon to be Sleeping Dogs.
  16. Yeah, there's way too many kickstarter games appealing to the "old school" crowd right now. They just need to time it better when there's a little down time concerning such projects and revamp their presentation.
  17. Agreed. Another game with AP's dialogue interaction would be more than welcomed. Even the worst parts of the game were better than most other games, despite it's lack of polish. Easily my single favorite game of recent years. I'd put it in with Bloodlines/Riddick as my example of what games should be.
  18. I was making a point. Just broadly labeling things across the board doesn't necessarily make it so. Which candidate is anti-female? From just a few minutes of research, Romney initially had 45% of his top positions held by females as Governor and towards the end of his term, 28%. Obama currently has 35% out of 23 positions held by women. That small fraction must bring with it a lot of hate. And with regards to abortion, Romney's healthcare in Massachusetts already allowed for abortions to be fully covered. I guess females inside Massachusetts loved him, but outside hate him due to political talking points.
  19. I don't care about abortion in the sense that it's not my number one issue. I'm more than happy to leave it up to states rights though. People should vote on it at the local level whether or not it should be accepted - not some umbrella reaching across the board which gets out of hand and impedes on everyone's decisions. And no one really picked up on it, but I was purposely misrepresting the workplace issue regarding women in the White House to show how one person can be villified easily determined by who's telling the story. There's some truth to it, but if you dig deeper it falls more in the line of a half-truth. And unfortunately that's how this whole election campaign for both parties are being run.
  20. Okay thanks, but 28% is still a huge difference for the same job. Is this something that is known about and accepted or is this behavior that is actually illegal? AFAIK that statistic hasn't been normalised for "same job", at least the one I see most commonly tossed around doesn't have that taken into account. Kind of reminds me of a statistic we had here. How only the children of the wealthiest men get into the university. They compared the father's income of law and medical students to the national average, noting how a large portion of them where in the highest earning brackets. Ignoring the fact that employed people in their 50s tend to be the highest earners, on average. Yeah, this is what I was alluding to.. not the mistreatment of women in the middle east..
  21. The discrimination I was talking about pertained to the USA and the "equal pay" legislation.
  22. Well said. NWN2 villains feel like Scooby Doo characters and that actually still feels like too much credit given to NWN2. I progressed a bit more into the game and I just can't do it. I can't wade through this uninspiring drab game just to get to MOTB. I'm uninstalling it and I'll watch a "Let's Play" of MOTB.
  23. This "discrimination" is based off in large part by general studies that no one can truly verify. And in that sense, you can create any group and find discrimination if you want to. Open your eyes and stop blindly following people who you idolize for a minute. If Obama truly cared about "equal pay" - the women around him would get it, would they not? All he has provided is legal bull**** to go with the already bloated legal system.
  24. Most women are cold and self serving. Why should I care about an issue(abortion), which for the most part is a result of their irresponsibility? I can't even understand why a man would make this his number one priority unless he's grasping at straws and has little else to vote on. Again, members of Obama's own circle accused the White House of being a hazardous environment for women - these are the same people who claim Romney is anti-female. Just sounds like a lot more of the self serving attitude these women have. And more legal garbage is not what America needs. America is being run in the dirt by the legal system, it's absurd.
