  1. Hahahahahahahhahaha. What the f is that?!
  2. "That's why in HL2 you spend stupid amounts of time sitting in a corner and watching other NPC's interact, rather than the more efficient cutscene." This is what I liked about Half Life actually.
  3. I haven't been impressed with the NV dlc. Definetly think Bethesda did better with their dlc.
  4. Skyrim killed your PC too? Wtf? Bethesda has gone too far.
  5. Oh, you've been missing out. FO:NV is one of the few games that have been using the DLC business model to dish out quality content post-launch with good bang for buck I've finally gotten around to the dlc's too. Honest Hearts was bland as can be and Old World Blues is mediocre so far, but still, this type of gaming is enjoyable at the least and even at it's worst, is still better than many games out there.
  6. The only good thing about having ugly visuals like Fallout New Vegas is that the old and almost useless video card I had to put in for the time being still can run it pretty well in most spots. Awesome.
  7. Played Skyrim for a cpl days and ended up with a dead video card. Cool.
  8. Started up Old World Blues dlc. It was somewhat interesting until the overlong intro with the lame jokes coming from the droids. Christ, I hate nerd humor. Who wrote this crap? I had to quit playing afterwards. Tommorrow after it's scrubbed from my memory, I'll resume play.
  9. Played my first of the FNV dlc's in Honest Hearts. As nondescript and almost useless as it was, by simply importing more old tunes and walking around, it was more enjoyable than Dead Rising 2.
  10. Yeah that's pretty much what I was meaning. It's just too bad that the objects break so soon. So even the best part of the game doesn't last long until you have to run back and recreate the item. Lame.
  11. AP is a great game. Definetly one of my favorites in a while. By contrast I'm now playing Dead Rising 2 and boy does it suck. The main story is adequate, but this gameplay is horrible. The only good thing is that you can just spam kill those zombies out of frustration since the rest of the game is such garbage.
  12. As I wait for some surround speakers to come in to do some PC gaming, I thought I'd actually use the PS3 to play a game. Tried playing Little Big Planet 2 and the HORRIBLE controls makes me want to quit already. This is what passes as a great game for console nowadays? The game feels like one huge tutorial. Absolute dogkrap tedious gaming. The worst game I've ever tried to play in a while.
  13. What's the gameplay dlc? Nightmare in North Point?
  14. Humans are unique snowflakes in pretty much every single scifi universe. Star Wars? Just about everyone of any importance is human. Babylon 5? All it takes to get rid of species that have been around since the dawn of time is to have some human yell at them a bit (at least the end of ME3 did not involve the Shep telling the Reapers to "get the hell out of our galaxy" and have them leave like whipped curs). Star Trek? Wonderful, enlightened peace loving humanity brings fluffy bunnies, lentil soup, understanding and prosperity to all the peoples of the galaxy. Vulcans may say "live long and Prosper" but humans Make It So despite the past 10k years of our existence proving demonstrably that in reality We Cannae Do It. Awesome humanity saving the day for Johnny Foreigner Xenoer is a cliche that needs to die painfully, but it's a genre problem not one with any specific universe. So true. It'd be cool if these sci fi stories were scaled back and stopped trying to be so epic. That's what I liked about Battlestar Galactica. There weren't a million alien races all connected with humanity seen as the savior. The stories were smaller in scale and more impactful, although sometimes a bit cheesy but all in all there was some good quality to it.
  15. Heh, I'll pick up the box a few times and look at it as the game downloads and installs. It's cool to have the box but I don't mind installing things digitally, save for the 30gb and 18gb downloads for Max Payne 3 and the Witcher 2 when I decide to install them.
  16. I'll gladly pay an otherwise worthless $2.50 to eliminate a few steps for an installation. Pretty sure I have the audio on hd but not the videos. My PC is pretty much my OCD haven, so, a clean download with all files preloaded for dirt cheap is too good to pass up.
  17. Google says it does, so I got it. Bit of an audio nerd, so I've got to have atleast that audio patch when playing the damn Sith Lords.
  18. Anyone know if the Steam version of the Sith Lords has the higher quality music and cutscene patch? $2.50 beats having to search that up everytime installing the game from the discs.
  19. You could have registered your key on Origin to get a digital copy, no need to rebuy.
  20. Well I've picked up: Dead Rising 2 for $5(seemed a bit more up my alley than Dead Island afterall) Mass Effect 2 for $5, just to have in digi format Resident Evil 5 for $6 Max Payne 3 for $15 and a few weeks ago, the Witcher 2 for $7.50 Got some gaming to do..........
  21. Eh, noir isn't really noir if it's simply trying to replicate aesthetics. Anyway, I picked up L.A. Noire on a past $5 sale and haven't installed it yet but plan to after finishing 1 or 2 other games. From what I gathered, the quality of the game varies by quite a bit, but the setting and good moments should be worth $5.
  22. Lol.. I thought you would like Dead Island. I ended up not buying it because I read too many reviews that stated it was somewhat like Borderlands but with LESS exploration and smaller maps.
  23. I wonder when games will stop trying to be so innovative and focus more on writing/story telling and characters(other than Obsidian). I could tell this game was going to be a letdown with all of the different paths to assassination clearly being it's only goal. Assassins Creed in a Bioshock skin with some Half Life visuals and Thief comparisons just because. Sounds good on the surface, but not so much when you actually play it I'm sure.
  24. They both start off with "Dead" in their titles, and both contain zombies. Close enough. But yeah, Dead Rising seems more Saints Row and Dead Island a bit more Far Cry, maybe. Not so much speaking in gameplay, just the spirit of the games.
