As for your overpopulation thesis, perhaps, just perhaps, gays and lesbians might get drawn to big cities because the people of said cities are more open to their sexual orintation than the small town provinces they're trying to escape.

How the hell should I know, what makes people become straight? I can tell you one thing though, I personally can't 'change' my sexual preference, nor have I ever made a 'choice'. Lets see how many people post on this thread chose to be what they are today, can I get a first?

I know this will be even more sidetracked, but how can someone say that they don't 'agree' with homosexuality, though? You can't agree with that anymore than you can agree with a person being black or white, or the sun rising and setting.

Well we don't actually see anything other than an explosion and a lot of dust, or any signs of penetration. If they really had blown it up, I'm sure they would've been crawling all over it pulling out dead crewmembers and stuff, executing those still alive. But Dragunov being a sniper rifle, perhaps aiming for the head would have proved more efficient. Thankfully, extremists aren't that bright... or just really crappy shots. :D

You're probably jesting Meta, but the link I provided says that the soldier actually took it in the chest, and just got up. I thought a hit like that would at least keep a person down for a little while and even break a few ribs.
