  1. Mods, lock and then delete this thread pls. The OP is only actually help spin the wheels for these idiots. Can't well all just be grown up and ignore this crap....by debating it pointlessly, you're just as bad.
  2. Dragon age also had EA's bottomless money pit to work with. Kindle...meh...
  3. Finally gives up...the amount of stupid and ridiculous on these forums has reached a new high.
  4. Do you feel better now your self entitled 'I will do what I please attitude cos I bought the game' made yet ANOTHER post about this godamn subject?
  5. The lesson to be learned here is that Twitter users are largely insane and should be considered carefully before interacting with. Judging by the subsequent immature, heated and self entitled attitudes we got here yesterday.... One could say the same about gamers Nosmirc.
  6. Yet apparently twitter warriors does. You just don't get it do you?
  7. Gotta get those Steam achi's aye....Dear God...why can't people just play the game and enjoy the story anymore.... I blame the console generation.....
  8. This is exactly why I don't identify myself as a gamer. That's pathetic. You have a responsibility as a developer And if you got your game through KICKSTARTER (i.e. other people's money) they you have even MORE responsibility to NOT LISTEN to some random whiner who didn't even back the game Makes no difference. The only difference between kickstarter and buying in a shop is you gave the money in advance. Who's money exactly do you think gets things made? Obviously not the consumer....
  9. What you also all need to understand is: Have your own personal opinions, fine. Take a one man war against the twitter moron. Hell, the whole LGBT crowd for all I care. Nothing will happen to you. YOU people are not a company. Now, for one moment, take your self entitled heads out of your rear ends, and think about what that minority crowd could actually do to a large company. Imagine you are an integral part of said company...hell even own the company perhaps. You think Josh has the power to make these decisions alone? You're idiots if you do. He is just the public face for this. Bigger companies than Obsidian have been brought to their knees by smaller groups than this before now. Do I agree with censorship in any form? Hell no. Does it annoy me that these minority groups make us accept what they want, yet insist they do not have to listen to our voice? Yes it royally pisses me off. But I'm not a famous name, neither do I have a company to think about or shareholders and directors. And for the record, all your shouting is actually no different to the twitter moron....YOU want this...and screw everyone else. Funny old world eh?
  10. They don't have to explain themselves to anyone except the person affected. It does not affect the game in shape whatsoever, so why do they need to put into the patch notes? Self entitled people round here are as bad as the stupid moron on twitter who started all this. The fact that we are BACKERS and we didn't feel there was any need to remove it as demonstrated in these very forums warranted, at the very least, an honest discussion with us regarding this before the removal. They could also address why they opted to remove it instead of the many alternatives, like promoting with the means of a sticky of the user-made mod that removes it or adding a toggle to remove triggering content. It would be nice if they explained HOW that was offensive as well, considering it got past their veto process before (and its insulting to our intelligence to tell us it simply got past their checks). I don't know, being the very people who made this game a possibility makes me think they could at the very least be open with us, and establish some dialogue instead of appeasing people who are not even backers of this game (as evidenced by those twitter misandrists not even having forum accounts here). It's even more insulting that they NEVER allowed us to toggle off ALL backer content as widely requested before by people who actually owns the game, but will listen to a twitter hatemob at the drop of a hat. By the way, we were ALL affected by this. Not sure if you realize, but the patch changes the content of the game we all have installed. Oh so because you're a backer, that makes you entitled does it? I'm sorry, I forgot being a backer meant you had direct input into the business of Obsidian and what happens to the game. As for content, meaningless, irrelevant and would not change the game in the slightest if it was never there. More vocal minority. we are not all affected...as I never bothered reading any of them anyway as I'm sure plenty of other 'backers' didn't care about them either. You pledged to get the game made. You got the game. That's about as far as your entitlement goes I'm afraid.
  11. And what do you think Steam does/is huh? As for the topic....for anyone who actually didn't think there would be any issues with a new patch...I'm speechless......is this all your first game or something? Never, never....ever....install a patch the moment it is released.... And seriously...off you go again with your hyperbole....saving every few minutes haha....that would be called...exaggeration.
  12. Laddo? lmao....give me a break.... Maybe when you stop spouting the same rinse and repeat stuff in every thread, arguing with everyone who does not agree with you.... Laddo....*reaches for paper bag to stop himself from hyperventilating with all the laughing*
  13. Well... the original Baldur's Gate had multiplayer. Also, keep in mind that the people who bother to post on Obsidian's forums represent a small minority of the overall players. We are the most hardcore, vocal section of the userbase. The ones most likely to care about small things. I doubt 40% of Obsidian's actual sales will be coming from GOG. Rigggght...that old vocal minority thing again huh. Now where I have seen that recently around here.....
  14. They don't have to explain themselves to anyone except the person affected. It does not affect the game in shape whatsoever, so why do they need to put into the patch notes? Self entitled people round here are as bad as the stupid moron on twitter who started all this.
  15. Stop going on and on an on...like a damn Ariston washing machine Mansen. No need for hundreds of back up saves..all the bugs are easily avoidable and worked round. Not seen any of them myself (before I even knew about them)....which proves not everyone gets them. You're obsessed dude.....
  16. Or not - Earlier versions has plenty of gamebreaking bugs. This one does too. You know - I think I'll pick the third door. Shelf the game until it's playable without forcing me to keep a small database of savegame backups around. More fool you. Should keep backups of everything...especially game saves (whether backed up on a cloud service or not...I mean...how would you play if the cloud service had a failure huh?). But you're prerogative
  17. Tiny minority? The poll here alone suggest you have no idea what you're talking about. Also...there is more to a game than multiplayer. Why does everything have to include *&£^ing multiplayer these days?
  18. Like anyone with half a brain actually thinks Metacritic is worth visiting.
  19. And all those Steam 'must have patch the second it's released' users laughing at us GoG users earlier....*laughs manically*
  20. Unreal...I thought RPG players and Obsidian fans were supposed to be mature...not be a bunch of whiny self-entitled 12 year olds. I'm with TheisEjsing...I'm outta here...just a pointless exercise hanging around this place now.
  21. And they have started lol.... http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/75253-i-cant-click-on-locked-containers-after-patching/ (though feel sorry for the poor fella)
  22. All you self entitled folk do realise, that as it changes nothing in the gameplay....they do not have to tell you or inform you of anything? As long as they spoke to that particular backer directly about it then at the end of the day, it's none of your concern or business. Why does it need to be in the patch notes? Nothing to do with you people.
  23. Giving up expeditious patching? rofl...scuse me a second while I compose myself... *Seconds later*... we're not all obsessed about the latest patches you know? Suppose you let windows update whenever it likes too huh? I'll patch it when I choose to...in no rush, game works fine for me. No immediate I need it now patch service from GoG really...well...quite frankly I couldn't care less. Now excuse me while I get my popcorn ready to laugh my ass off at the (probably coming soon), the patch broke my game threads
  24. Oh poor us....feel sorry for us....*plays saaaaaad violi*...oh wait...I godamn hate Steam with a passion.... You ever thought us GoG users chose GoG for a reason huh? Why feel sorry for us?
