A little question about a certain Jedi
The Great Phantom replied to KOTORFanactic's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Why? If they're untrained in it, then they would leave no signatures. Besides, Vader feels Luke anyway. Besides, once stripped by the Force, it requires a paradox (like the Exile) to reforge a connection. -
Continuity kills KOTOR

Wow... That would screw up the whole series... Pokemon sales were all amongst 10 year olds, and even in them you could choose btwn boy and girl. -
Just a thought bastila

Love leads to mercy, which is forbidden by the Sith. Mercy is a weakness. Love is basically a tool to the Sith. They forbid it, but will manipulate it to their own benefit when the chance arises. As for strong emotions fueling the DS: This is only PARTLY true. If you quit the Jedi for not freeing the Slaves (you feel 'love'), then you may join the Sith, seeing that they take action. Then, the DS fuels your hatred of both slavers and the Jedi, until you forget why you fell in the first place. This was what went on with Yuthera Ban in the first game. -
Dark Lord of the Sith
The Great Phantom replied to The Great Phantom's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
True. If the Sith were not united under a strong leader, then they fall apart. This always happens. Revan was definately a strong leader, as was Exar Kun, to an extent. -
Dark Lord of the Sith
The Great Phantom replied to The Great Phantom's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, you didn't have to use real names. I put it here, because the Dark Lord involves all of Star Wars. We all know about Nihilus and Sion, but Traya could have remained anonymous. -
A little question about a certain Jedi
The Great Phantom replied to KOTORFanactic's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I was referring to abilities. It is a FACT that abilities have been lost through the ages, for many reasons. The ability to strip the Force was not even mentioned in the OT/NT. I was referring to 'forbidden techniques', not inherent power. -
Not Dominating. He could feel the Force through others. At the end of the council, the Jedi get a pretty good idea, and Kreia's scheme would not be furthered by this. Besides, the whole plot is because of this.

Star Wars Database
The Great Phantom replied to The Great Phantom's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yes, but they're there. I learned quite a bit about Zaalbar, I think it was. Besides, if it's there, then nobody can argue about it being canon. -

Revan in KOTOR III.
The Great Phantom replied to ShadowPaladin V1.0's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
According to Lucas Arts and Bioware, LS Male for both Revan and Exile is the canonical settings, but either way it doesn't change the story 4000 years down the road, so it could be any of them. -

Continuity kills KOTOR

That is why a menu or some such would work. The Mira idea is faulty, because of the fact that Mira did not necessarily become a Jedi, or a Dark Jedi. The Newly Knighted idea works, because you don't have to worry about continuity. If Exile was LS, then Handmaiden would be a historian, Visas would probably be a Master, and Mira 'dies saving one she cares about.' Bao Dur would be a Guardian, and Atton would be searching for Force Sensitives. For DS Exile, the Order would be in tatters, but one or more Jedi could have survived, and rebuilt. You would be one of the first knights in the rebuilt Order. Basically your choices for Revan/Exile would affect who the leaders of the Order are, and what they say. Just pointing it out. -
Dark Lord of the Sith
The Great Phantom replied to The Great Phantom's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Traya WAS the Dark Lord. There are many Sith Lords, two of which being Sion and Nihilus. Traya is the third. But, who is the Dark Lord? Sion controls one faction, Nihilus another... Then again, Nihilus is his own fleet. Traya has no followers. -
hmmmm... That's tricky. Do you have a previous save???

Does Darth Malak have a Sith Fleet?

You should go 2 the Kotor I forums. Go to the original site, and there's a link. -
KoToR 3: Ideas and Suggestions
The Great Phantom replied to hattifnatt's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yes, but I'm not sure to what extent it is doable. -
This probably should be a poll, but I made it a topic anyway. The KOTOR characters were put into the official canonical Database at starwars.com. I was wondering if we should ask them to include Kotor II characters... They don't interfere with any other articles, and they support KOTOR I. Should we ask them to put it up, and who should they include?

Have you finished every other planet?

*spoiler* mystery person
The Great Phantom replied to jdei master casya mardu's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The way that you truly saved Kreia was by ending her life. She wanted to destroy the Force, and all that can feel it. This would kill EVERYTHING, but she could not relieve herself of her feeling of being betrayed. The only way for her to find peace would be to end her life. It says this on one of the official sites... I'll try to drag it up if I can. -

Perhaps they'll skip ahead a decade or so, and you're sent out to find what happened to them (the Orders have been rebuilt, so you can choose who to work for in the long run). Then, you find they're bodies, and those of their companions, and perhaps you're left to detonate some form of explosive that will finish their work. Change around several things in there, and you could have a respectable and workable story. I especially like the idea of being able to choose who to work for: Jedi or Sith. You could be a freshly-knighted Jedi, and you're journeying when the Sith contact you. You could accept the call of the Dark Side, or report it to the Jedi. Either way, you would end up with the same task... Yes I see definite possibilities... Of course, they can't use it now, because I said it out loud... Play around with it, and we could have a very cool game coming. -
Dark Lord of the Sith
The Great Phantom replied to The Great Phantom's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
That's what I thought... Perhaps there is a hidden Sith Lord somewhere? -
Who is the Dark Lord in Kotor II? The Sith seem much more like those in TOTJ: Sith War, in that they're different factions working somewhat together. But, in TOTJ, Exar Kun is the Dark Lord, and they're all united under his rule... Who has this honor in Kotor II???

Tales of the Jedi
The Great Phantom replied to Darth_Radnor's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
There are several explanations for the series not following the books. The art is going to be different, of course. If you have any problems, get over them. There are many people complaining about the forbidden love. Don't you think that after having dozens of Jedi fall because of love, the Jedi would realize something was going on? I think they went a little overboard with it, but still. Odan-Urr was cool, but after millenia of no practice against a Dark Lord, don't you think he would have become just the slightest bit rusty? Besides, Exar Kun was the most powerful Jedi of his time. It took thousands of Jedi to put him into suspended animation, and even then they had to capture his apprentice. One thing I noticed. Exar was the Dark Lord, and Ulic was his 'apprentice,' but they seemed much more like the Sith in Kotor II, different factions w/ the same goal... Oh, well. -
I am interested in games...Alot.

That 'broken' message is being complained about a lot... Was it some form of programming joke? I put a couple of things like that into programs I make... Nothing so drastic, though.
