  1. Kreia implied that it was a 'sacrifice'. Perhaps...
  2. It was a great game. I like(d) it a lot. To me, it seemed a bit more like an expansion pack. That should be taken as a complement, as KOTOR I was probably the best game I have ever played. Good Job, Obsidian.
  3. Here's my guess (IT'S JUST A THEORY) on why Nihilus has the need to feed. Off topic thus far, but it does explain a bit, I think. Nihilus was revived on Malachor. It says this in the loading screen. This leads one to believe that he was dead. This would also explain why he MUST feed, or suffer. He feeds on the Force on a MASSIVE extent, to fill in the holes where the life-force once flowed. The Exile only cut himself off of the Force, not his entire life-energy. That is why he does it, but is not forced to. I suppose after a LONG time of this, it could become sort of like steroids, and he would rely on it to keep his power, but I doubt he would make it to Nihilus' state. And about the Jedi telling the truth: They do tell the truth, but they have been known for hiding PARTS of it. Notice they did not tell Revan that he/she was Revan, but then again, he/she never asked, did they? Kreia told what she wanted to, being the manipulative Sith Witch that she is... come to think of it, she's more of a Dark Jedi Witch than a Sith Lord, isn't she?
  4. The story may have been thin, but I'm pretty sure you were supposed to look beyond the surface. Notice his similarities to other characters (I'm not dropping titles). The Holocrons spoke Sith, and Nihilus sounded Sithish too.
  5. Dead on the nail. I believe that was precisely how the designers intended it. When you ask Visas what she saw under his mask she replies: "just a man, nothing more." As to underline this. note: but it was a risk the designers took because it goes against all common practise to hype up a villain and just let him go like that. but obsidian managed to pull through a potential anticlimax, takes both guts and skill. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not sure if someone pointed this out already, but if you ask for his mask, then he his MUCH more than 'just a man.' He turns out to be 'Death Incarnate', which is what Visas sees when she looks at you. There is many plausible reasons why he fell so easily. For one, he tries to feed on the Exile, which is not smart. Notice how after he does this, he caves over in agony. It must be pretty hard to only notice planets, all of a sudden finding yourself digesting absolutly nothing. The shock of this alone is enough to make most people weak. Just pointing it out.
  6. Kreia was a little too gray, sort of like an extreme Jolee Bindo. Only, instead of being good under it all, she was the opposite. This does not fit in the Star Wars universe, but they did do a good job trying. In all Star Wars stuff, if someone tries to walk the path of neutrality, they end up forced to take sides, and most of the time they end up taking the 'wrong' one. This is evident in several NJO books.
  7. Nobody ever said that the species were the 'True Sith'. For all we know, it could be the desendents of some coward Dark Jedi that fled the battle btwn Naga Sadow and the republic. I doubt it, just pointing it out to keep our expectations open.
  8. I prefer Revan, because of one thing. Bastila. But seriously though, I think that Revan should be the huge big hero/villan guy of this series. the Exile seems more like a followup character. However, if Revan were to bond with the Exile, then Revan is the Heart of the Force, after all. Everybody says that... Geez, I gotta go play Kotor I just to be Revan again...
  9. I romanced both of them my LS play through. Everybody kept asking if I 'hooked up a couplink' with Handmaiden, though... In the end, I said the final romance lines to both of them... I'm a Jedi pimp!
  10. WOW! Those are great! One of my friends can draw, but those kick her drawings' butts! (I still think my Stick-Figures are better, though :"> )
  11. That is not true. The Force may be always w/ you, but your ability to manipulate/feel it can go away. the Exile lost his connection entirely, and was thus a hole or wound. Everybody else this far maintains unconsous (sp?) connections.
  12. It was my understanding that when you destroy malachor for the second time it was to help in the healing of the wound in the force created by the shadow sheild device. chodo says that by healing the life on telos you restore connection to the force, so in <if youre playing ls here> helping those planets youve healed your own wound. i think nithulus was created as a direct result of the exile severring his/herself from the force, and that he is a "negative" of the exile himself. So, that being said while nithulus would feed off the force and slowly kill those around him, the exile has the oppisite effect, spurring rapid growth in those around him/her. by facing his/her past the exile CHOOSES to allow the force to return to him. kreia SAYS you are a nithulus, but we all know how she loved to manipulate you so youd prove she was right. allthough... kreia also said that you were supposed to train and send others to aid revan against the "true" sith, so i think it would make sense to bring them with you. hah you could all make each other stronger and maybe along the way atton can teach you some more about using lust to sheild your thoulghts...no i mean......PAZAAK *wink for the women* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nihilus was a 'beast' that revived on Malachor V. This leads me to think that he was somehow 'killed', and he sucks the life out of others to fill the gap where the life once was. The Exile has a similar ability, only does it to fill in the Force (or where it used to flow through him). That is probably why Nihilus suffered when he did not feed. Just an idea. The Exile manipulated the Force through other people. If you listen to all the Jedi Masters, then they strongly infer to this fact.
  13. I don't know bout anyone else, but I say we go give the LA forums some 'class.' Or we could go to the kotorfanfic.com forums... It's not up to me... :">
  14. Jedi aren't necessarily related to other Jedi. Families strong in the force are usually chosen to become Jedi, but Force Sensitives can evolve from rabid gizkas, as far as geneology is concerned.
  15. I know, i'm just wondering if maybe there is some way she could have lived if you're LS. LOL.
  16. Are you the Wikipediologist or something?
  17. Nope. Rivan is in the comics, and even has his own tale. He was made way before the Revan concept was even thought up (concepticized?). Revan is his own individual, and has nothing to do with Rivan. I'll try to find my sources if you want.
  18. I just had this thought, and it seems almost totally pointless, but I would like to know if someone else ever thought of this. At the end, after you beat her, could Kreia be faking her death? I mean, if you're DS, you throw her down into the Core, and the movie is called "Kreia's Death." In that movie, however, you see her fanning her arms, and dead people usually don't do that... Do they? On LS, you don't dispose of the body... Perhaps she was still alive? At the beginning of the game, she was faking death... Maybe she pulled the same trick twice??? Lemme know what you all think.
  19. Well, that's interesting, but for the fact that before you enter the Ritual Room, and get the confirmation of the ritual's completion, sith do! atack you with beasts they control quite well. Plus, if i properly recall, there's a datapad there further acclaiming the beasts' prowess in combat, under the sith. All prior to the completion of the ritual, in Nadd's burial chamber. Furthermore Visas Marr, my chosen leader of that mission, asks of my progress on Onderen, and the mandalorian's NPC answer comes as follows: 'in the meantime...' That seem like a very important event there, with the ceiling orb killing a Dark Jedi (no small thing), all in Nadd's burial chamber. I don't belive, as i have specified above, that it is but a beast control ritual. Nadd is a child of the glorious Old Sith Empire, probably holding it's knowledge and technology. He is a child of the The Great Hyperspace War, in a time when pockets of the Empire possibly breached the Outer Rim, or were already there, prospering. Perhaps Nadd had the knowledge to contact such places... Since i see no point in it being a resurrection ritual of some sort. Well.. i might be going a bit too far with my suppositions <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How could Freedon Nadd be a child of The Great Hyperspace War that Nadd was a Jedi Knight 500 years before the time of Exar Kun? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exar Kun was the instigator of the Sith Wars, not the Great Hyperspace War. The GHW was fought by Naga Sadow. Freedon Nadd was quite a while after, proving that not all of the Sith were wiped out, as stated by many people that try to argue the True Sith thingy. Perhaps Obsidian had this in mind, or they just got lucky...
  20. I tried a search but couldn't find any solutions. Is there a way to fix her Force Sight bug???
  21. Are you serious? (w00t) That is funny!
  22. Kreia huh? *Shudders* Visas makes the most sense, like Bastila. Bastila has the bond, and Visas also holds some form of bond w/ the PC. That picture will give me nightmares.
  23. Only one? Have you gathered the Jedi/ killed them yet? As for the romance thingy... you are a male pc, right? If so, just do the sparring with Handmaiden. There is no real romance with her, except perhaps after Atris at the end. Visas is probably the most fulfilling of all the romances...
  24. I just replayed and came across a cool tidbit. Perhaps Nihilus wasn't the one holding it together. Visas was his link. Perhaps he also manipulated the Force through others???
