Yeah, Nvidia's trying to milk the NV4x for all its worth. It was a great architecture when it was first introduced in 2004 as the 6-series but it's getting a bit old now, which is why they are having to resort to tricks like slapping together two cards into one (literally) to create the monstrosity that is the 7950GX2. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey... all the power without SLI... for those of us who were stupid enough to buy a PCI-Express board without SLI feature...

I am considering this card... I feel however that the rest of my system might limit it's potential though...

I kind of disagree. I took nothing but front line fighters to the last battle with a certain stance (you know what I'm talking about!) and I actually managed to Autobattle it.... LOL

Why is this important to you? Do you have a stockpile of old Xbox games? Have you looked closely at the list of games that work? This is such a non-issue to me, I'm just curious to know. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Neither console has enough games to justify me buying it.. if the 360 had excellent BC I'd be interested... as it is... meh. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> PS3 will come bundled with the PS2 hardware, so you can expect somewhere in the 100% backwards compatible range. It's one of the best JRPGs on the PS2. I was playing it non-stop until I finished it. The only problems I can point out are the camera angles (such a obvious throwback), low difficulty (auto-battled 90% of the time) and in my opinion, it's somewhat impossible to get all SODs without using a guide on first playthroughs... Other then that, lovely game. Great story and cast of characters. The large scale naval and ground battles are very fun. They also added a timer to the duels which adds a little spice to it. EDIT: @ astr0creep Consider playing SIV, if you can get past the system changes (4-player battles, etc) it's really not that bad of a game... I'm enjoying it.

I don't think any setup can play Bloodlines lag-free.

He just went into rabid X-Box Fan mode and posted it... even though the information came from a unreliable source and there was PLENTY of information that suggested it wasn't true.

Playing Suikoden IV right now. I've been putting it off since the game got barraged with average to poor reviews and is generaly considered to be the worse Suikoden by the fanbase. Maybe it's because I'm only a casual Suikoden player, but I'm finding it rather enjoyable. The new (and over simplified) battle system (which happen to be the main complaint) doesn't bother me one bit... story is pretty good and the atmosphere is something new (Pirates!). My only real complaint is that the Hero has a stupid haircut, runs kinda weird and all across the land there is a disturbing obsession with short-shorts.

Okay, that looks pretty damn fun.

for me, it is not really a matter of exclusives....I PREFER a 32" screen over a 19" screen. I PREFER the couch to a swivel chair. the only thing you really miss out on is the toolset for certain games. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Gamepad + TV-OUT... What's the problem?

Played a MGS? It's a stealth game... running in with guns blazing only gets you killed. The only time you are forced to kill is during Boss fights... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep, but stealth doesn't = spying your not "spying" you are infiltrating and then killing. Hence a commando, not a spy. ...not the Bond is a spy in that sense either, but at least he isn't in fatigues and face paint <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I guess you have a point. Though, all the MGS games usually start Snake off as a spy of some sort before the hole thing blows over.

That assumes M$ is going to invest A LOT of money in trying to get the Xbox 360 to take off in Japan. Sony and M$ don't treat JP and NA the same way... Sony needs the console to take off in both regions, while M$ can really do without the JP support (Xbox eventually made money correct? Even with the lousy JP sales).
