  1. I agree. I tried making a character like that in Oblivion... man I was getting owned. =(
  2. Played a MGS? It's a stealth game... running in with guns blazing only gets you killed. The only time you are forced to kill is during Boss fights...
  3. Yeah right... they only do, what they do best remember? :D
  4. Thank you alanschu. Downloading now... Should be ready by the time I wake up.
  5. Hm, try scrolling down (I hadn't noticed this earlier). It'll give you a choice of 3 packages, choose the $19 package and you're all set. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nah, I click on the "Click for Details" banner and it take me to the purchasing page... I choose the $19.95 and it says "Page Cannot be displayed."
  6. Ha! In other news, In a recent PSM2 interview, Hideo Kojima had some interesting things to say about the PS3... more specificly, it's limitations.
  7. Argh... Can't find the link. Anyways, Target, Walmart and Bestbuy are reporting prices $19.99 - $29.99 (newer movies costing the most). The average price seems to be $24.95 though.
  8. $20.00... Not bad, I think. More info... http://ps3.qj.net/SEGA-Europe-Reveals-PS3-...pg/49/aid/49592 $59.00 - $69.00 is... expensive.
  9. Sony is really trying to kick start the Blu-ray player... http://www.ps3portal.com/general/article/428.html Not a bad start, The Da Vinci Code is also suppose to be released around that time.
  10. Since you didn't mention them, you have played Fallout I/II and Planescape: Torment correct? I imagine you are only playing on the PC as well... There is Deus EX and System Shock 2... they are shooter-RPG hybrids that are both extremely well done. There is also Neverwinter Nights which is extremely cheap... $20 for 100 something hours of SP gameplay (assuming you enjoy the gameplay and stories). There is also the new wave of CRPG-type games... KOTOR I/II, Oblivion...
  11. Hear hear! Maybe having the pic will start swinging the votes our way! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hm... What game is this again?
  12. What's so cool about Fisher? Didn't he start out a metal gear rip-off character? =P
  13. Because it wasn't average, that's why. It's one of the best single player FPS ever. I'm trying to get it off steam, but I when I click on "Buy Now" nothing happens.
  14. Snake, just because I enjoyed the Metal Gear Story more then any other.
  15. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> F' him, he doesn't speak for everyone. <_<
  16. That's cool too. I only wish for games to feel natural and not have "features" tossed in just because... I have the same worries with PS3 games.
  17. @ Llyranor FFCC was for the Gamecube too ya know, but I see your point. I'm not assuming that every JRPG is heading to the PS3 either, I just stated what I know... quiet a few developers have already started their work on them. As for the Wii's titles... I can help but think that all those games are going to go out of their way to use the Wii's features... Think of the DS, look at Castlevania... Great game that clearly goes out of it's way to use the stylus. The hole thing really feels out of place and quiet cumbersome.
  18. Two series that have been suffering quiet a bit... Megaman since X5 and SNK since the death of the MVS hardware. I can see why they would move to cheaper development. This makes me wonder a bit. Atlus is already making the next SMT title on the PS3, but the series has never been about visuals or even selling a lot. They have always kept the titles true to the their roots, despite that fact that certain aspects of that are the very thing that keeps them from going mainstream... The Wii would be a haven for all of that.
  19. Holy.... How the hell can Sony's PR insist on saying such stupid garbage?
  20. Always a bad sign for someone when they break out the "sigh" You are aware how expensive it is to develop for the PS3, right? Not to meantion PS3 games have been plagued by delays (might eb sonys fault). Sure, some of the old band is following Sony, but we'll see how long it lasts. Just saying that it is never a good sign when some of your biggest titles jump ship or go cross platform. That and Sonys fanbase can fade away in a single generation. Just like what happened to Nintendo. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> All right, those are valid points. Keep in mind that the Playstation has two major front though... Few developers might be willing to take the gamble to try to release stuff on the Xbox 360... but I'm willing to bet a lot are not. I remember a couple years back, Atlus (big jRPG name) released an SMT title on the Xbox... the lost a lot of money on that gamble. I guess only time will tell though. <_<
  21. isn't that the MMO one? besides, doesn't count as much after so much time passes <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's called making a quick buck.... Sad almost, releasing it on another platform so late in the games lifespan.
  22. All you have to do is look at the PS2 and Xbox. I think that's where we differ. I think Sony went down a new road that devolpers seem somewhat reluctant to follow. I see Microsoft getting those treasured 3rd party titles too. GTA, The new Resident Evil, and likely Assasins Creed will all be on the 360 and you can play them for much less (with a rumble pack!). Unless your a HUGE Final Fantasy fan (god help Sony if MS gets that too) I just don't see the justification. Especially when you can play Mario, Zelda, GTA, RE4, etc all for the cost of a PS3. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> *Sigh* Did you not look at the list? M$ is NOT getting Atlus, NIS, Level 5, Konami (refering to Suikoden, not MGS), Monolith and plenty of other developers that do stuff M$ really can't compare with (on a genre basis, not quality since that is largely based on opinion). How do you know developers are reluctant to follow? Source? From what I've seen, plenty of the old PS2 developers are working on PS3 title. As for M$ getting some of the third party support... Good for them, they however are only going for the bigger names, with the games that will obviously appeal to the M$ fan base. Obviously, GTA4 and RE5 are games that would be welcome additions.
