Hate to break it to all your KotOR III new avatars
Haitoku replied to Lord Orpheus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You don't need to be Revan/Exile to see how their story ends. There story has been told already, we know were they are. I'm not pro Revan/exile again if thats what you thought <_< -
Who was the WORST jedi ever?
Haitoku replied to Lord Orpheus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I say Luke. I mean, come on... He couldn't even lift his wing out of the swap, while some little green dude did it with ease... He got his hand cut off... He then got shot in the hand trying to make a blaster deflect... Then in the end he has to call his daddy for help " -
Hate to break it to all your KotOR III new avatars
Haitoku replied to Lord Orpheus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I disagree. I know people are in love with Revan and/or the Exile. *BUT* KOTOR has been about creating a hero. Choosing Revan or the Exile would destroy that... Unless they found out some clever way to make them lose the force again, memories... etc... But it would have to be damn original. EDIT- How would it not make sense to have another hero? -
Hate to break it to all your KotOR III new avatars

There is no need to reply to your own thread. You could have simply edited your first post. ~~~ Anyways, Kotor3 *NEEDS* a new hero. This whole series has been about creating a hero of our own. Choosing Revan or the Exile again would make things FAR to linear , considering we would probably have to set their previews alignments This would serious cut the role playing aspect. Since, making them lose their way yet again, would be horrible story telling.... unless they plan to make Kotor3 completely linear... and I don't think a lot of people are looking for that kind of RPG, since their are a lot of other (some would say, much better) options for that. Though, I want Revan/Exile to have a place in Kotor3. I think Kotor2 did an excelent job with Revan, and in the way they portraid him. Something similar would be awsome. As for the New Hero... Would be nice to create someone without any background. Though, this would be hard... Since traditionaly in RPGs, Heros don't just appear out of nowhere.e -
This is the part of the quest that is tricky. They don't appear on the surface, not always. Even if you did see them at the Cz office. If you don't see them their then this quest becomes broken.

Well, The restoring is a mod a group of people are working on. It's going to restore some of the game content (including the ending) that was cut before the release... @Topic - If you have hardware on your PC that is suitable to run TSL, go for that. Better Graphics, sound and FPS. However, please note. The bugs in the Xbox are still in the PC version (The patch that was just released only fixed the PCs unique bugs).

Darth Traya vs. Darth Sidious
Haitoku replied to Lord Orpheus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It seems to me, like the teaching of both the Jedi and the Sith have diminished over time... And, Lets face it... If they were to fight, the fight WOULD be determined by who could fire the biggest force lightning And since Kreai would have a much wider knowledge of the powers of the Sith... -
I dont get this, I bought game when it first came out Handmaiden Jedi Glitch: Never happened, only time I wasnt able to turn her into a jedi was when I screwed up in interactions with her. My own screw up is hardly what is clasified as a glitch though. Bao cant build lightsabre? Never happened, if I had ALL the parts he built it each and EVERY time. Redemption Quest: Completed it in 6 of my 8 play throughs, didnt complete it in 2 play through because *gasps* I DIDNT REDEEM THE JEDIS AND TOOK THE EVIL ROUTE!!!!!! . Again, my own actions do not qualify as game glitchs! Telos Criminal Glitch? WHAT GLITCH! either lie to the telos officer and finish quest or find them on planet serface and finish quest! Telos Fuel Quest (anouther quest everyone complained about), set up communications between the hutt and telos and YOUR part of the quest is finished. If people stopped and actually read the message they would realize that your part of quest is just setting up communication, not actually getting fuel to Telos. Hence why the Telos officer doesnt reward you because you are rewarded by the Hutt when you set up the communications between him and Telos government. Gotta admit, its really annoying to come here and see non stop whines about COMPLETEABLE quests being glitchs when its just the players inability to read that is the problem. I truely doubt I got the ONE and ONLY working copy of KotOR2 for xbox. Sorry that logic just doesnt fly! Flame away but fact remains, every quest in XBox version is completeable if you read the messages game gives you. *disclaimer* I have noticed since its release though that players that uttilize ingame cheats and/or have modified their xboxs did have the mass majority of issues with game. To them all I can say is *you cheat, you lose*. As it is in life, as it is in gaming. Only themselves to blame. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Handmaiden glitch is random. After the cut-scene with Kreia *SOMETIMES* you will find yourself alone @ Jedi Academy on Telos. The Bao-Dur glitch happens when you turn him into a jedi *BEFORE* building your lightsaber. You won't have the option anymore. For the redemption quest. What exactly did you do to finish it? The Criminal quest.... Unless you do the meeting with them in some sort of weird order, it will become unsolveble. (they won't appear on the planet below. and no, the journal does not hint anything) I didn't say anything about the fuel quest. I know it's not broken. These are existing. I must say, you must have some luck to have avoided them all. And the point of this thread was to inform all the Xbox owners that feel alittle cheated about PC patches, and the fact that we are getting bug fixes, that they shouldn't be. Because it's taken 4 months for us to have the same game as they do.

TSL Restoration Project: Work in Progress
Haitoku replied to Aurora's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The problem was.... They agreed to do the entire game in one year. By the end, they had to tear the game to pieces to have it ready for release. -
After reading a few threads on the bugs that remain... It indeed looks like the original Xbox bugs are going to remain... I imagine this is to retain some sort of equality between the two versions. Just to name a few... Handmaiden jedi glitch, Bao-can't build a lightsaber glitch, Telos criminal glitch, Redemption quest on Danto- unsolveble... etc (i'm sure you guys can name more)

What the hell are you talking about dude? The PC version has the same amount of content the Xbox version does. The patch does not add the missing ending or content. EDIT - 50$ for mine too. Went the second day after the release... Should have waited a bit...

I am very thankful for the patch, and the soon to be added higher resolution movies and music. Thank you Obsidian. I just wanted to say that before I posted anything else. I know, a lot of Xbox players are having an uproar over the patch the PC version of TSL. I know they feel neglected by the OE and LA... But, take one look at the PC version as it is now (patch and all), and you have absolutely nothing to be jealous about. The issues the Xbox players are having, such as the Handmaiden Jedi Glitch have NOT been resolved. Turning Bao-Dur into a Jedi before you get your own lightsaber glitch is NOT resolved. All the glitches, bugs and exploits of the Xbox TSL are still in the PC version, and probably, will never be fixed.

Mwahahahaha ! The XBox sound is powered by some kind of nFORCE SoundStorm, which is far far best than any other integrated chipset that most of the PC use now. Unless you have a real sound card like an Audigy or some Terratec, the PC won't make better sound. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wow... You sound like a moron. You swear people don't use sound cards [ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, he's right. The Nvidia SoundSTORM chipset was by far the best integrated sound chipset we've seen yet on the PC platform. There is a reason there was a massive uproar over Nvidia's decision to not include it on the nForce 3 (and 4) chipsets. If I could get a modern motherboard with a soundSTORM on it, I'd buy it in an instant and throw my GF)*Y)ET*$ Audigy in the trash. (not necessarily because it's any worse, but because Creative has mentally handicapped monkeys without hands from Darker Zambia writing their drivers) I think you'd be surprised how many people actually use that POS Realtek AC97 codec that's integrated in their motherboard (I believe Valve's "inspection" of computers with Steam on it showed that it was somewhere around 35-40%, which is a HUGE number if you think about it). Its still intergrated though. Shared memory is never good. In any case, I dout any serious PC gamer is using ANYTHING intergrated. Creston <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

The New "hidden" levels are being added by a modding team. It's not official, if you are complaining about no mods for the Xbox, you are truely an idiot. Better music? Possible, but only because PC hardware can make it sound better. We are still using the same low quality sound that the Xbox users have. Better graphics? No. In fact, we got worse textures then the Xbox users. Since they rushed the port. People can notice these low-res textures. Also the movies were done at 640x resolution, meaning they are a blurry mess on the monitor, but not on your TV. This is on the users end also, if the users has hardware that is better then the Xbox ... then YES, better graphics. I should say, it's pretty stupid to complain about this. I would be pretty upset if my 400$ video card couldn't outperforme the crappy Xbox GPU. Better game? No, it's still the same. Everything you have mentioned is on the users end not the game itself. So please... Keep your ignorant, uninformed opinions to yourself

Well, T3's Demolitions skill is too low...
Haitoku replied to Melchior's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I know what the problem is. (I think) You have it set on the hard settings correct? Try switching them to normal, or easy. That should fix it. -
KOTOR 3- Please don't use the KOTOR ENGINE
Haitoku replied to Melchior's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Agreed. They should take their time on the next engine, instead of just rehashing an old one. -
What is more rewarding to play in the end?
Haitoku replied to radiohead3's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
"1337" speak causes brain damage. ----- LS game was awsome. Didn't like DS much. Could never get into the hole, murdering innocents thing . -
Who do you think should/will make KOTOR 3?
Haitoku replied to Craftsman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Not a good idea. Square is awsome, but they make very different kinds of RPGs. They simply tell you a story, rather then let you make it. -
Whispy Effects in Mind Reading cutscenes
Haitoku replied to dufflover's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Bah! Get the ATI X800XL! ATIs answer to Nvidias Geforce6800 GT About 300$ too. (pretty cheap, consider how expensive these new high end cards are) -
A "finished" verson of KoTOR2 from Obsidian?
Haitoku replied to romeo_longsword's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Why? Is it a lot better? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> IMO the story isn't better. However, the overall feel of the game is better, since it's complete and very polished. Plus, it gives you a better insight into the events of Kotor2. -
KOTOR 2 & Catalyst 5.4 - BAD!!!
Haitoku replied to primetimex's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Nope. Runs perfect on my x800xl, i'm even getting smoother frame rates. Haven't Visited Dantooine though ;S -

KOTOR2 work with catalyst 5.4 now?
Haitoku replied to Darth Makaan's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Part of the problem with these slowdowns is that some of these maps have not been optimized (nor has the engine that renders them). Want proof? When you get to the Fuel Depot part with T3 -- Where everything drops to single digits -- Rotate the camera to T3's side (left or right) and make him go forward (toward the control panel he is supposed to access; it's like a tracking shot). Guess what? It plays normally with good FPS. But the minute you roate the camera forward (the default, third person view behind a character) it drops into single digits again. There is only one explanation for this and that is the map itself is trying to render to many verticies in one direction (toward the console) and there is nothing anyone, not even ATI, can do until OE recompiles that and a lot of the other maps as well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Your right. This game also seems to render things that aren't in your field of view, such as NPCs across the entire map. In any case, these new drivers are running great. Have tested them through Dant-, but i'm getting overall, better frame rates.
