  1. Closed for length. Part 8 is here.
  2. Part 7 was here. Let the ice-hockey talk continue.
  3. It's quite likely that's talking about a Star Wars-related game, but there's also a chance it might be something else - Indiana Jones, for example.
  4. I only have experience of Norton and McAfee, and of those two I found all sorts of problems gaming with Norton that (mostly) disappeared when I switched to McAfee. I guess other (free) ones might be better, but as McAfee works fine at the moment and is free for me, I'm sticking with it.
  5. I agree. The promise of Dreamfall: Chapters made it bearable somewhat, though those don't seem to be coming any time soon.
  6. He has a blog entry responding to some of the comments he received. Here's an interesting part: Yet another brave and independent columnist who doesn't need to bother with facts and accuracy because he's defending the world against the evils of (liberals and homosexuals / fascists and corporate interests [delete as appropriate]).
  7. I was always told to avoid taking antibiotics unless they were really necessary, because they kill a lot of 'helpful' bacteria in your stomach - sort of a sledgehammer to crack a nut unless it's to treat something really serious.
  8. I would say that Jade Empire is a better game than the poll is suggesting at the moment. That's only my opinion, of course.
  9. Sam & Max: Moai Better Blues. Favourite line so far: "You're just jealous of my more plausible centre of gravity!"
  10. Has anyone ever heard of this? I'm not quite sure what to make of it.
  11. I agree that "The Dark Brotherhood" is a horrible name for a game. Aside from the Oblivion connection, I also get an unpleasant Dan Brown-esque vibe from it.
  12. I'm playing a newish NWN module called Enigma Island - it's pretty good, not spectacularly original but solid, well-designed, relatively bug-free and generally a very enjoyable experience. I'm approaching (I think) the end of part one, with part two still to go.
  13. I'm always having trouble with Firefox's 'Find on this page' or whatever it's called - other than that, it's a lot more reliable than the version of Explorer I was using when I switched. That was my original reason for switching to explorer - it just caused fewer issues or problems at the time. But my router requires explorer to communicate with it, so I can't uninstall it.
  14. Even though it probably means playing through to make sure you get all the bits of the mask and make all the most evil choices, I would say it's worth it - the very evil ending is very enjoyable.
  15. I prefer the sentinel because it gives you more skills, and skills trigger a lot of dialogue options. Also put your intelligence to 14 because that also unlocks at least one interesting dialogue option. It depends I guess on what you enjoy most - conversation and getting into the story of the game (Sentinel) or blasting enemies with force powers (Consular).
  16. My memory of the game isn't great (it's a while since I played), but I think you had to complete those missions before you went down onto Telos. It doesn't matter that you didn't, it just means that you won't get rid of them from the journal.
  17. I think that at least one of the parts you buy at a shop - i.e. the main quest doesn't drop it in your lap the way it does with the other ones. Have a look in droid-related stores.
  18. I salute you, you concerned citizen you! Seriously, it is one aspect of US democracy that I find genuinely impressive. They seem to do it lots of different ways, though. How did yours work?
  19. The Longest Journey did it, albeit in Stark rather than Arcadia.
  20. I believe it does, yes, though I've never used it myself.
  21. You can't see influence in-game. If you really need to check, you need to download and use the Kotor Save Game Editor.
  22. On this at least, I think we can all agree.
  23. Every moment is the end of the world as we know it.
  24. Hi, and welcome to the forums. You'll be able to wake HK-47 up later in the game, once you've found all the bits you need. He's definitely worth it.
  25. It's hardly an urban legend, since there are names, dates and a photograph. But you're right, it does seem to happen from time to time - and we must assume that not everyone chooses to go to the media. I don't find it particularly implausible either - if you're a teenage girl and your whose weight fluctuates (and that applies to many), I think it would be easy to persuade yourself that that's all it was.
