While i do not agree with the protesters, i do think it is healthy for the politicians and other higher-ups in the financial sector to get a dose of the everymans rage now and then. Often in forms of rotten eggs, tomatoes, manure and good 'ole "****"-yous. I think that it keeps them, the political elite, a bit more levelheaded.

Well, as expected, both games were simply bad. When was the last time Yatzee really liked a game? Portal?

Dash posted the 'two weeks' notice on Tuesday 17th, Saturday 3rd or Sunday 4th is still within two weeks of that date. Ah, a very creative excuse, i also used to use that line for getting things done. - When i said "two weeks!" to my friend about my deadline for borrowing a dvd-player, it meant on the 14th day after, before midnight. After that, he would automatically stop lending me stuff, since i fail to return when i was supposed to. - When i said "two weeks!" to my professor about my deadline, it meant on the 14th day after, before midnight. After that he would've automatically give me an "F". - When i said "two weeks!" to my boss about my deadline, it meant on the 14th day after, before midnight. After that he would've automatically ask why i should work there, since they are losing thousands of dollars for each extra day. Having ambiguous interpretations on deadlines works wonders with friends, with school and at work. Modders are excused.

Speaking of which, Gears of War for the PC not only demanded that you had to sign up for a LIVE-account, there was also no savegame-feature in the traditional sense. Like selecting a savegame from a huge list and such. Instead, your LIVE-profile had had its own savegame function, only saving for you when you reached certain checkpoints. Thus, you had to have multiple accounts in order to have multiple savegames, veery irritating. Well, think of this: You have only one profile and you're only able to load your savegame by pressing the 'continue campaign'-button in the main menu. You have played about 8 hours so far, and you wish to continue your game, only to realize that there is no 'continue-campaign' option. Strange, Gears of War claims that you have no campaign to continue upon, but dearly wishes you to start a brand new one. Your savegame is not corrupt or anything, it is just gone, disappeared. It never simply existed in the first place, time to start over, buddy. Apparantly, this is a very common bug for the GoW PC-version. Geewee, thank you very much, Epic, People can Fly or Microsoft for not only implementing the most silly savegame function that there is, but also manages to make it so broken that it fails to work on what it is fundamentally designed to do.

If it makes you feel better, he dies soon after. I hope so as well. Good. Hopefully his death will involve a wooden spoon. Gifts and as Monte Carlo described it, elven-tamagochi relationships, should be treated as a minor annoyance. If you approach it for the lulz, then it becomes less than an issue. Exhibit A) Collargrabbing in ME: Nothing to be serious about. Games like Heavy Rain and alike can be enjoyed in a non-lulzy fashion, but Bioware is a whole different package.

KOTOR3 Announced by Lucasarts!!!!!!!
Meshugger replied to Darth_Windu's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You guys are way too early. -
That's just the nurturing feminine side of you that is screaming, kicking and begging you not to surrender to the almighty hammer of manlitude. Don't worry, it will pass. After all, everyone is born as a virgin. I still yearn for an RPG where the dialogue is exclusively extracted from the Manowar discography. I mean, wouldn't Dragon Age be indefinately better if the King of Ferelden had the following to say to his men before meeting the...eh, evildoers: Come on, what kind of warrior wouldn't be riled up by that kind of speech? Instead, we have to suffer from another oxfordian englishman, talking as gay and LOTR-esque as possible.

From what i gather, with their blend of Katakana, Hiragana and Kanji, is that there are no commas or whitespaces within a sentence. Very difficult for a westener to read. There's commas, which they would like to regard as having rules. The truth is they sprinkle them around with no discernible regularity. In English commas make it easy to recognize dependent clauses, etc. they serve a purpose, are dependable... Figures, my understanding in japanase is limited at reading roadsigns at best.

Work and Youtube are two incompatible things. I have to check it later.

When playing Dragon Age: Origins, I am going to replace every song in the soundtrack with Manowar's "Black wind, Fire and Steel". It would only do this game justice. - "For Fereldern, chaaarBORN OF BLACK WIND, FIRE AND STEEL" - "The Blight ends heBLACK WIND, FIRE AND STEEL" - "Silence you dwarven scum! I should teach youBLACK WIND, FIRE AND STEEL" - "Mages and their magic should not be trusted! They areBORN OF BLACK WIND, FIRE AND STEEL" *Intimate moment* -"Why do i have....these feelings for you? It's like...i can't stop smiling every time I see you, why is this? When i look into your eyes, i feel comfortness and peace. Why?" -"ReXona, my Elven princess, i also have to tell you thatI AM AN OUTCAST ON THE PATH OF NO RETURN PUNISHER AND SWORDSMAN I WAS BORN TO BURN BLACK WIND ALWAYS FOLLOWS WHERE MY BLACK HORSE RIDES FIRE IS IN MY SOUL STEEL IS ON MY SIDE BORN OF BLACK WIND.... *SEXSCENE* I can hardly wait.

If it happens to be on the telly while i am channelsurfing, then i might see it. Otherwise, i watch/read the results later in the evening, in order to have some insight on the whole Formula 1 season. Speaking of which, what is this "Brawn"-team? I have never heard about them until thursday.

Yeah, the chase in the city. Looks pretty close to that. Anyway, I'm a bit disappointed that BioWare didn't make any upgrades to the cover system. It looks just as basic and slow as it did in the first game. But hey, there's still a year of development left, so they might touch on this aspect later on. Well, for starters, atleast try to have the illusion that there's some actual combat. Walking sideways....slowly....in front of the player..while shooting, tends break that illusion.

Best animated film ever. Absolutely! Just a splendid movie, a real treat. Hard to choose a favourite part, but I love when the little boy offers his umbrella to Satsuki without speaking and then runs away and starts grinning and jumping. True, there are several wonderful scenes: the bus stop in the rain, Mei meeting Totoro for the first time, the catbus switching signs from "the graveyard", "hospital" and "Mei". But my favourite has to be when the kids and Totoro & friends make the giant tree grow in the garden. Just beautiful.

Tonari No Totoro Japanese version with subtitles, none of that sissy dubbing for this fella. Incredible movie, the art, the pacing, the music and simplicity of the story. Miyazaki did what Disney hasn't been able to do since Disney himself died; making animated movie for kids about being a kid. It is about the childhood that every child knows and every adult will recognize. "This is a true jem", as Ebert said it was, and i agree. This one belongs to movie history, it's simply "clicks" on all fronts. A perfect 10/10, and it is in my personal top 5. I want to be a little kid again.

Question about PS3 backwards compatibility
Meshugger replied to Morgoth's topic in Computer and Console
Well, i am from Europe, have a 60GB PS3 (PAL), and it has BC. It must be magical or something. That 'something' is that the 60GB models in the PAL region were equipped with the graphics rasterizer of the PS2, but not the original PS2 CPU, which the Cell emulates instead. Every single PS2 game that i have works with the PS3, with excellent upscaling. -
Question about PS3 backwards compatibility
Meshugger replied to Morgoth's topic in Computer and Console
I only own (correction, it's the girlfriend's) the 60GB model, never tried any of the other models. It is quiet, has never frozen or crashed during gameplay and the backwards compability has a feature that the Xbox360 doesn't have: upscaling. Playing God of War on 1080p is a fine treat. I haven't tried Final Fantasy XII, but FFX looks a bit funny, since it doesn't natively support the widescreen format (it becomes letterboxed). -
I started to read the Watchmen novel that arrived by the mail today.

Alrighty then, no update for me.
