  1. Oh, i recognize these situations. When i was younger and single, and very interested in casual sex, i would get none, silch, nada. Maybe i was too nice, desperate or both, but nothing worked. As soon as i entered my current relationship, things changed. Suddenly, i had no interest in picking up women. I would rather get very drunk, behave like an ass and have a good time with my friends, and if a woman showed the slightest of interest, they would get none of it. Lo and behold, bizarro-world ahoy! Despite my best intentions to shove them away by showing no interest, behaving badly or both, women suddenly started to ask my phonenumber, and those who already got it(i still don't know how some of them got it), started to send me SMSs, where they wanted hook up for a beer, movie or "just having a talk at their apartment". Do i need to remind you, that i reminded them that i wasn't single? Didn't sure stop them, did it? One time, i even got the whisper "I...want...to.f***...your.brains...right.now" at the bar, despite i already just shared her the information that i wasn't single in a not-so-nice-way. Women, really strange creatures indeed. But i do have a hunch that the women posting at this board share very little, or any characteristics at all with the ones that i mentioned.
  2. Reading the interview and from my own experience with Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, I cannot but think Chris Avellone, who is, I personally find, more introverted and philosophical, and Brian Mitsoda, who seem to be extroverted and more pragmatistic, have totally different approaches to their works. So, probably it was for the good for both of them and, hopefully to us, or the potential players. It would be interesting if Josh, MCA, and Mitsoda would be able work on their respective projects, from start to finish, in future. Fanboy wars for respective developer would ensue.
  3. Dialogue options + the chesthair = lulz
  4. I personally think you underrated it. The way the slums and its denizens are portrayed is simply incredible, the camerawork kicks ass, and they manage to depict the drug problems and the whole mess of a social situation without judging or demonizing anyone, even Z
  5. Don't let your 6-string Squier be hindrance, just down-tune it to F#, almost an octave lower than the standard tuning Good luck!
  6. Lamentations of Black Isle?
  7. You should laugh every now and then. It helps.
  8. From parents to their children, they will always hate the ****. The **** is wrong in every way; it symbolizes immorality, debouchery and the fall of civilization. Since the abolishement penises, we have created nukes, walked the moon, and won the war over communism. Those, yucky, yucky penises will be the fall of us all. And don't get me started on sex! imagine, people experiencing uncontrollable pleasure with one another without repraisal! The nerve! Such things will not stand in a modern civilization! We have our bills to pay, families to protect and bankaccounts to save. It is good that we have people voluntaring to watch over us, being a our moral compass, and ultimately knowing what is best for us and protecting us. These watchmen of morality is our first, last and only defence from this kind of filth. With their help we can make the american dream come true. I didn't even notice the **** until i started to wonder why the teenagers behind me started to giggle for every.damn.time. Dr Manhattan was on the screen.
  9. Is that an official policy?
  10. Um, why didn't you call the fire department to begin with?
  11. The Barbarian makes the same "Huuuurhgh"-face as Rambo. I wonder why.
  12. Were you really expecting anything else? The books are beyond horrible and the film was no better (I saw it with a group of friends who are all fans of White Wolf's Masquerade and the like just so we could make fun of it). However, the worst part is how many people are lapping up this **** and prancing around while spouting off their, supposed, wealth of vampire lore - all of it complete crap as far as I am concerned. Good god, that's one of the reasons I actually started the latest round of Masquerade. It's an effective antidote to the stupidity and, maybe, some of the airheads will overhear us in-game and come over to share their "information." Anyways, in conclusion, for now -I could go on but that might derail the topic-, I will end with this statement: Real vampires do not sparkle! Before seing the movie, the only thing that i heard was that: A) It was very popular B) It was written for teenage girls In conclusion, i expected a Disney-esque romantic and cutesy vampire story. Not a 2 hour celebration of psyhopathic, vegeterian ***holes that are abusive and sparkle while they're at it. Last night I saw 'Watchmen'. It didn't have the same consistent flow like, lets say The Dark Knight, hell, it even had a couple of scenes that belonged in the "lol, whut?"-area. However, it had a depth never seen in a comic book-film, interesting characters, and an interesting message about the human condition to boot. Other movies from the same genre, again think of The Dark Knight, Iron Man and Superman, feels like children movies in term of dealing with adult themes. I was pleasently suprised through and through. A part of me expects that this movie will get a following similar to "Bladerunner". Heck, it left me so interested that i even ordered the comic book today in hope of finding out more about the theme, characters and eventual use of symbology. Bear in mind, this is the first time that i bought a comic book since the tender age of 8, when i bought Transformers. I liked it that much.
  13. D&D Home Page - What Class Are You? - Build A Character - D&D Compendium Damn, i look gay.
  14. Awesome. I played it maybe 4 or 5 times, but i still haven't encountered that newsbit.
  15. No worries, i was almost constantly sick the first two years of my life. Apparantly, that should be good for your immune system in the long run. For me, i have had a fever two times since the age of 4. Once when i was 16, and another time last year. I also have also only taken anti-biotics twice: in 1987 and in 2006 (a smaller eye-infection). So once you kid gets into age, he will probably rarely, if ever, sick with the flu again. I never have these seasonal flus. And if i do, like every 16th year or so, it is usually very vicious. The last one that i had the fever (i had it for 2 days), it left my girlfriend, my parents, my brother, my girlfriends parents, my grandparents and several of my friends bedridden for atleast a week. Bevare of MY germs
  16. If i would unleash my true feelings for this film, i would go out on Hollywood in a mushroom-cloud fashion. But that would be counterproductive in the long run, so i will stay status-quo, for now atleast And 300 is a movie for the lulz, i do not see it as a serious adaption of anything, really. Who would anyway?
  17. Those who complain about spoilers should get themselves a soul, i am doing you guys a favour. Really. - The main character (Bella) has to be the most nonsensical person ever to hit the screen: No interests, no own thoughts or aspirations, nothing. Her only purpose is to be in love forever and ever with a stalker that has murdered, likes to murder (except her), drink her blood and **** her while he's at it. But nooo, the guy is sooo dreamy and he literally sparkles in the sun like a million diamonds, not mentioning that he sees himself as a vegeterian. What.the.****. What kind of vampire is this? Did i mention that he likes to see her sleep and has done that a couple of months without her knowing? The guy even had the nerve to mention that he "hasn't the strength anymore to keep himself from her", and this is due to her smell and that he can't read her mind. Lets rephrase that last line again: He finds her interesting because he can't violate her most private area: her own mind. How nice of him, how ****** romantic. The guy is more invading than the Gestapo and gets a blank check? ****. Finally, he tells her that she smells nice too boot, like a really nice steak, i gather. What a guy. BUT SHE STILLS FALLS FOR THE HIM AND DECLARES HER UNDYING(not really) LOVE FOR HIM?! Ehum, leaving the story and characters aside lets go to the actual acting. Even if love can be blind, or more like deprived of all sanity, there has to be passion, chemistry and suspense. Well guess what, due to the horrendous dialogue and bad acting, everything turns really awkward. Every scene with the main couple is uncomfortable and uneasy. The guy looks like he constantly has to take ****break and the other is drugged on zoloft, rendering her completely emotionless. It is not bad in a funny way, it is bad in a very, very bad way. And what is with this constant atmosphere of supressed teenage sexuality? What is the message here? Don't have sex because just because it is "wrong" without any reason? Didn't you love her unconditionally? What better way is there to express these flows of passion? By being masochistic? Don't give me the "I wouldn't be able hold back my urges"-bull****, it is supression of the only good attribute, considering everything else that was previously mentioned about him, that he could give her but he couldn't. **** this ****. This is so disturbing on so many levels. Did i mention that this "vampire"-movie has almost no blood or violence whatsoever? Buffy the vampire slayer is Evil Dead compared to this. The rest, like music, camera and such doesn't add anything really. The direction has no redeeming features either. I know that i shouldn't be angry about just a movie, but i think that this is more than just a movie. This is SATAN's direct communication to mankind in order to destroy our capability of critical thinking, enjoying greatest of pleasures, remove any conduct of intellectual discipline and to eliminate any appriciation of the finest of arts. Avoid.this.at.all.costs. And to all parents out there: Guns and violence on the news and in the movies aren't your child(ren) enemy, and neither is porn, most definately not. "Twilight" however, is. The message of this movie is to annihilate your soul, your very being. And for the millions of girls that love this movie/book, SATAN is very pleased, very pleased indeed. There is more, but i think that i will get an auneuyrism if i continue. /Meshugger goes for a smoke.
  18. Twilight I expected "this-is-so-bad-it-is-funny", but dissapointment ensued. It was just bad beyond redemption, the main characters, the vampire mythos and most of all: The underlying message. I have experienced movies that bored me to death, but this was something different, something special. Not even "From Justin to Kelly" was this bad or even "Glitter". This has to be the worst movie that i have ever seen.
  19. - The facial animations are in still need of work. The lips move rapidly while the rest of the face have slower and sometimes almost non-existing animation. - The disco-walk isn't that much of a bother. - Where are the damn dialogue-trees? - Was i the only one experiencing frame-rate issues? - The shots from the middle eastern "Bang-Bang" level didn't look that interesting, from an aesthetic point of view. - Avellones arms
  20. Maybe a time to set a deadline so a "whenever" actually might exist?
  21. Looks like a good start, keep up the good work!
  22. About scary games in general, i have never been directly scared of a game that i've, but i have sensed a feeling of unpleasantness while playing games like System Shock 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Clive Barker's Undying. I think that it comes from having game where the design is so immersive that the player is drawn into it and faces the ultimate fear of any human: The Unknown. When we do not know whether if something is out to harm us, and if it does, when we do not know when or where it will strike, it will leave us vulnurable and in a constant state of uneasiness. Those three games mentioned achieved that to some degree.
  23. There is actually a game that's about to be released, called Cryostasis. (Screenshots and videos can be found there as well)
  24. To Bokishi and all the other enthusiasts out there: WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW?!
