BREAKING NEWS: RESIDENT EVIL 5 DEMO OUT
Meshugger replied to Llyranor's topic in Computer and Console
what What? Have you played previous Resi games? Only RE2, and that was about 10 years ago, and i don't even remember this "feature". Deliberately hindering the player to shoot while running just makes less sense than Doom 3's "Can't use flashlight while holding a gun". -

Apparantly, 2 or 3 of ministers from the resigning government suffered from cancer as well

Ironically enough, i would like to become an immigrant myself Canada, US and even Britain looks more interesting by the day. I can see some sort of future there that i can't see in Europe at the moment. Hopefully this will change. But enough ranting.

1949? There was no EU back then, let alone a Coal-steel union that was formed in 1953. I have been to Turkey, and i have a friend who is married to a Turk. The only pro-EU turks are in the Istanbul area, which greatly differs from the rest of Turkey. It is very westernized. The rest of the country is pretty Atat

Why would Turkey join the EU? They are quite capable, like Russia, to go their own way. Turkey are neither part of the Arabic hemisphere, nor the European one. They can choose themselves instead. Besides, unless the Kurds are allowed to have an independent state, the issue of Cyprus is solved and acknowledgedment of armenian genocide is done, let alone re-writing the constitution to fit the European ones, nothing will happen.

Well, there were a great number of the most repulsive members of the Einsatz-truppen within Waffen-SS that didn't get any jail at all, despite the nurnberg trials. Granted, they didn't exactly go around killing jews or inciting another holocaust either after being after being pardoned. Point being, i am not suprised that some of those that were captured have returned to their eh, "old ways". However, fault partly lies in the justice system itself; eventough the guy in this case never got convicted, many criminals return to do crime after they have been released. On the bright side, i somehow think that the US will have an easier time to catch him this time.

Master's Degree sent in for printing(about 3 months too late, lazy me). All in all 115 pages, yay me! Been doing some more system administrative work today. I am part of a larger team of administers and for one ongoing project, and later this year i am assigned to be the sole admin for another one. Since the times are going worse, everyone has been assigned to multiple roles, yay However, I am suprised how little coding it involves though, and the support is usually handled by the support engineers. Most of my time is spent on debating with the design engineers on what features should be implemented or not for their engineering tools.

"WorldNetDaily" Please find another source.

I'm at work and thus, not "downloading now!". The original FEAR had some suprisingly good AI-components. There were some times where i was actually outsmarted by the enemy, good stuff. However, FEAR 2 doesn't just look "next-generation" enough to have enough hype like its predecessor

Whoa, i stand corrected. There is still a lot more in the neverending pool of awesomeness. Please do continue, fellas!

Wait what? "Balls" you say? You mean Truman in the middle of a debriefing in the war room, pulled down his pants and smacked his balls and salami on the table? "Look at the size my balls! They're huuuuuge! They're big as a clocktower bell! You know what these balls say? They say that we need to nuke the japs ASAP! Any further questions? Otherwise you can discuss this matter with my balls in person!" How did you know? That's exactly what happened! Yes it is, and it takes balls to go to that last resort. Otherwise you're Chamberlain, not Churchill. Nonononono, and no. Both acted on their ideals, judgement and intellect. One was wrong and the other better insight and thankfully right. That is all that there's to it.

in here, i'm one of them, but not everywhere. either way, the argument is specious. it's like saying "well, they're already taking away most of your rights, what's the harm in a few more?" there's a point at which you say enough is enough. What can i say? Maybe i am less of an idealist than you are Humhum, courage is a whole different thing than having balls. Truman thought objectively about the information at hand, analyzed the reports of the japanese fighting spirit and resolve, and acted accordingly to what would cause the least amount of civilian deaths. I would call that courage, responsibility of ones choices and actions, careful judgement and a slight drop of wisdom. Was his judgement wrong? Perhaps, but that is another story. The point is that he acted as objectively as possible, which is everything that having balls is not about. Having balls is something that belongs in the jocks locker-room. Having balls is to act without thinking, to react with a gut-feeling, or emotional so to say. In diplomatic relations and the arena of realpolitik, acting according to your balls is a serious nono. Having balls is something that the lone vigilante does, not a stateman for the people that he or she should represent.

"Balls" and politics never go together, ever. A governing body is expected to act accordingly to the information existing, in very wise and careful manner. Warfare is always the last resort, always.

of course, people like me happen to disagree with both of the first two points (income tax and forced education) so i can legitimately claim compulsory service takes away my freedom (i don't, btw). i have no problem with a draft, however, in times of need. now is not a time of need in spite of pleas to the contrary. ww2 was a time of need. people like rangel merely prop this crap up for political reasons. taks As always, you're the exception

To those that think that swearing on the bible actually works.

Not so fast mistah! Being a dissent in a crowd where the majority thinks otherwise demands that you explain yourself in throughout manner.

Zing!

^Blah, agree. It should be a non-issue. Not something for the politicians or the courts to get a headache about. Live and let live.
