Obsidian making Fallout: New Vegas
...should be added as a smiley, or atleast made mandatory for all posters from the 'Codex Anyhoo, i fully expect "Fallout: New Vegas" to include: - - Being able to marry, fornicate and kill hookers. - Become a pornstar. - Become a druglord with a harem of above mentioned. - Kill kids and extort parents for not killing their cousins and siblings. - Letting an angry mob to put my character on a mock-trial and consequently kill me for the sins mentioned above. - Of course there's the C&C from the previous installments, gameplay and character-creation. Other than that, it's cool. Still, there's a faint deja vu of being back in 2004 again. Hopefully things will go smoother this time.

FF13
I have the guilty pleasure of liking FFVI, FVII, FFIX and FX (FVIII was pretty meh and FFX-2 as well). For me, FFXII was an abomination, since it was everything what the previous ones were not: Boring and sometimes pretentious characters, uninspiring soundtrack, and the whole story being full of itself. The combat was a great improvement over the previous installments, but it was not enough to save an already bad game. This really shows how much of a Love/Hate-disparancy FFXII can create

FF13
Well, in my humble opinion, FFXIII seems to be doing ok-ish. After the incredible known as "FFXII", where Director Matsuno went with the "supah-serious" tone, which subsequently collided with a mythos consisting of chocobos, moogles, cactuars, spunky clothes and gravity-defying hair. The strengths of jRPGs, and the FF-series in particular, rely on grand fantasy tales with characters that aren't exactly deep, but entertaining nonetheless and fit the fantasy-fable that they are trying to convey. The gameplay looks a bit boring, but Last Remnant proved that while it can look boring for the observer, it can be incredible fun for the player. What FFXIII lacks is 'Le Grande' Uematsu though

Americans can't do anything right
This poster never claimed that it was attributed to the legal system itself, rather than its people. But as they say: "change is coming...".

Americans can't do anything right
I remember reading somewhere that among vehicular homicides, the driver gets a 56 percent longer sentence if the victim was a woman(sexist!). But if the victim was a black man, the driver would get a 53 percent shorter(rasist!) one. Sorry, i have no source on that one.

What are you playing now?
Still playing Last Remnant...

Oh dear, maybe i was not clear enough, you are all applying what you think should be done according to your standards. According to the swedish verdict of their standards, they are worse scum than those that i mentioned before, thus making this decision look like it was done after political pressure. Of course they are guilty of what they are accused of, and i don't know how exactly they could prove the sums of damages either (i.e. can one correllate the amount of downloads to the potential causation of loss of sales directly? For example would've each downloader have bought the media instead, i sure don't know the measures on how to prove that one true), but i can smell that something is very fishy about this.

Their crime was a financially based one. The jail time is rather short, but the fine makes total sense. I'd say it's a pretty fair verdict, to be honest. Hopefully it stands up. I think that you and Enoch are looking into this too much from an anglo-saxon perspective. No rape cases, murder cases or anything dealing heavy damages have had a fine of this calibre in Sweden (afaik). Relatively speaking, the swedish court sees them as the worst of the worst of society, when practically speaking, we are talking about a couple of guys making it possible for others to know where to get the good stuff, with the loss of potential revenue for the other part. No women were abused, no babies killed, no company going under due to fraudelent business practices, no pensions being lost, no prostitutes were beaten and no new addicts created from a new drug.

Akinator
Apparantly not that much of a sucker, he actually guessed right on the base-player/singer in Morbid Angel!

Akinator
Beh, this one sucks. Apparantly he has no idea on who Chris Avellone is.

'lo and behold, the local court where the jury was made out of laymen, found the pirate bay guys guilty. The juicy parts: 1) This is just a local court, it will be going to a higher instance, most likely the supreme court. There's even talks about getting to the highest possible: The European Court; but in order to do that, there has to be a foundation that the court decisions in Sweden have violated European laws in their procedure, something which i highly doubt myself. 2) The judge was suprised that there were non-swedish media interested in the case. Jurymembers were also noted to have slept throughout the proceedings. 3) The attourny dropped the case of trying to find them guilty of copyright-theft. Thus, no one was found guilty of the crime itself, rather everyone was found guilty of making it possible for people to commit a crime. 4) Everyone involved (four of them) got 1 year in prison and fined for 30 million swedish kronors (about 3 million euro, 2.4 million punds etc, etc...) 5) They got the same sentences as one under swedish law would get for aggrivated assault, rape or even manslaughter. No case as i am aware of in Sweden has been sentenced to a fine 8 figures. 5 or 6 are more common. This is interesting. According to swedish law, if someone makes it possible for others, or gives them information on how to commit a crime, it is viewed that same as rapist or a killer. Personally, i don't know. They are of course guilty of making it easier for pirates to get their material, but taking into consideration on how the swedish law is written, i can't help thinking that there were some backroom political reasons behind all this.

Hats
Only time that i have weared a hat was a beret back when i was in the military. I don't know, hats today just doesn't really look that good. It rather looks a bit archaic to me, like those ridicolous wigs that the british judges wear. Every time i see someone wearing a hat on the street, it's either 1)some sort of for teh lulz irony, or 2) some clueless hipster thinking that he or she is cool.

Dragon Age
"This could be a young adult novel. It's not sophisticated, but it's also not bloated like a great deal of fantasy." If that ain't a strong implication that young adult novels is unsophisticated... *shrug* but considering what you ain't appearing to say 'bout young adult fiction, the description becomes meaningless. ain't say is dark? ain't saying is unsophisticated? if not really saying anything, then why say anything? regardless, Gaider's book might be worth the read... but if we read, then we feels compelled to review. having already been banned from bioware, we may end up being banned from Kanada. HA! Good Fun! How on earth did Gromnir ever get banned from the Bioboards?

I can imagine the beautiful and serene emotions that must sprung from her while she and Kaiden are together enjoying the view of millions of stars and solarsystems, all reaching to infinity. All of this heightened by the mezmerising "Det som en gang var" by Burzum in the background, played on an LP-player like all trve, kvlt, grim and frostbitten Shepards would do. Burzum might be too slow for a fast spaceman like Kaiden, so Shepard has a copy of "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" by Mayhem by Mayhem for a more upbeat feel. Um, yeah.

I can imagine her wanting someone to be her knight in shining armor, ready for the rescue. The makeup is just a mask for her gentle, pure and innocent soul.

Dragon Age
Wait, there's actually books about Dragon Age? Are they prequels of some sorts, or are they something of a kin of Silmarillion-wannabes?

That guy isn't really that hard. What you're doing already is pretty much it since you only have the two characters. You should always have an option to heal+attack so take that until the boss misses you and you get a chance to counter with a big attack of your own. Pretty much. Just make sure that you are of high enough level to sustain the damage taken from one round and when you heal it should be back to roughly status-quo.

Conservapedia is literally the worst thing on the internet.

When life was simpler
First three points don't matter because Malta is in there and has <5% discrepancy. I don't think they've magically eliminated anything about what women your stereotype of women are like. Oh wait, the first three points were all your points. Sorry. Whut? Serious answer please. About the other graph what do they mean by "similarly educated"? Are they within the same field or not, like medical doctors? For example A mathmatican has a way higher wage in general than a philosopher, even though their education is at the same level. That is the point that i am trying to make. And working more years in the field gives you a significant edge. The girlfriend makes almost 20% more than me (i have master's of science degree in technology, she in economics) due she being in the workforce for longer than i have. In terms of title, responsibilities and position, we are at the same level. If she started at entry-level positions today, she would make about ~600 euro less.

When life was simpler
Nah, that would be sexist and discriminating towards women.
-
When life was simpler
- Does the graph take into consideration the disparancy betweem "feminine" and "masculine" fields? - Does the graph take into consideration that many women work less years due to childbirth and maturnity leave? - Does the graph take into consideration the recent study that women argue less for higher wages than men do? (For personal contracts, union and collective contracts not included) If they do, then i want to know what they are doing in Malta.

When life was simpler
Well, of course there's compromises in a working relationship. For example, I cook since the female in the household has even managed to burn a bowl of boiling water. She does the laundry, wipes the floor and cleans the toilets, while i use the vacuumcleaner, fix the car and various electrical stuff. She wipes dust and I clean the cat's litterbox. She buys the game consoles, while I buy the TVs. Ying&Yang, you, know.
