  1. This is boring. LoF: Do a thread about IRAN instead, but i also support a thread about that "I Ran" song by A Flock of Seagulls. Both will suffice.
  2. Lotsa hurrr-durrr about Israel. Here my contribution about modern israel, i would like to call it "huhurrurrr!": 1. The british want out of the middle east, but the whole area is drawn by a pen--->FAIL 2. Lots of jews move into west-jordan, north-egypt or whatever it was called, the british called it the palestinian protectorate or something, but it wasn't a nationstate or anything, just an area. The jews buy some land and settle there--->OK (No one cared about the Belfour declaration, sounds silly and unapplyable) 3. Too many jews move in, tensions arise on both sides, guns starts to shoot. For both the jews and west-jordanians, south-syrians, north-egyptians/palestinians or whatever they called themselves at the time--->FAIL 4. WWII, not so happy times for jews in Europe. The grand palestinian Mufti (lets call it palestinian from here) travels to germany and has a nice chat with Hitler. He agrees that with Hitler about his views on jews--->FAIL 5. Post WWII, Britain leaves the middle east, full civil war break out in the area. 6. Jews want a nationstate, and asks the Jordan King (IIRC) what the terms of negotiations for cease-fire would be--->Semi-ish OK 7. The jordanese negotiatior tells them to stuff it, no Israel or anything. They would only get a jew-ghetto in Jerusalem, but they wouldn't be allowed to publicly preach judaism and would be trated as dhimmis--->FAIL 8. As of 1948, no state supports the creation of Israel. The jews have some french weaponry bought privately, but nothing bigger. The UN tries to meditate with a somewhat equal amount of land, but the arabs countries want none of it. No jewish state should be allowed to exist in the middle east, they said. 9. Truman changes his mind and supports the creation of Israel, many western nations soon follow and Israel declares independency. But Truman forgets to mention where the Israeli border should be, confusion ensues--->FAIL 10. Arabs wants to throw the jews in the sea and subsequently attacks them--->FAIL 11. A couple of wars later, rise of PLO, Hamas and Hezbollah and an endless cycle of atrocities committed by both sides, the situation i still FUBAR. The palestinian refugees are still used by the arab neighbours as bricks in their game of realpolitik, while the jews of israel behave like cat put into a corner: using overviolence to solve everything. The verdict? FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL As long as there will be people living in the area that follow their abrahamic religion and believe that they are the most rightous ones, there will be no peace.
  3. Romance "confrontation"? Did I miss anything? If you are nice both to Ashley and Liara, they will confront you and make you to decide which you want to warm your bed. If you pick Liara, Ashley will go ballistic. If you pick Ashley, Liara will go like "Oh okay". If you try to pick them both, they both go ballistic. Can't remember can you show the door to both of them. That confrontation worked just fine in my game, so it's probably some individual bug if it doesn't happen. Edit: Looks like the PC version of the second DLC is out.... and surprise surprise, it is not free like the first one! And you have to get it from EA store with EA downloader! Just wonderful! Really? I completely missed that. Love triangle between a blue alien and a xenophobic human, that almost warrants a second playthrough alone
  4. I didn't read it either, but i take your word for it; it is a great country.
  5. My mom and dad always had a simple way to put it whenever we saw domestic or european movies (always some nudity/sex): Me: "Mooooom, daaaaad! What.are.they.doing?" Them: "Grown up stuff. You'll understand when you are older." Me: "When is that then?" Them: "You will know. Trust us, end of discussion." Me: "Um, ok".
  6. My condolences to Walsh and his family.
  7. Trying to discuss with Volourn the merits of Bioware's writing compared to, well, any company, is like trying to have serious discussion about abortion with diehard pro-lifer. Nothing will come out of it. Anyhoo, Bioware is like God, they give and they take. Sometimes they give us a blessing of life, like KotOR, and sometimes they take the very same life away from us to create a new life, like replacing KotOR III with ToR. Bethesda have a good financial policy and merits for potential growth.
  8. - Beethoven's 9th, movement 4, conducted by Achkenazy. Linky - David Gilmour: High Hopes, live in Gdansk. The end solo with a classic guitar is a wonderful tough.
  9. Good. This and Brutal Legend will be my autumn fix. Hopefully the extra dialogue will be interesting enough to warrant several playthroughs.
  10. All these sites will (hopefully) be lost in time, like tears in rain. Obvious Bladerunner-reference is obvious!
  11. Scandinavia share the same importer/distributer, so i would guess that it will be the same in Denmark and Norway as well
  12. Cuba is a functional democracy Cuba is a functional democracy Cuba is a functional democracy Cuba is a functional democracy Cuba is a functional democracy l0llip0p! Yes, filled democratic institutions and traditions, ready to blossom like spring flowers.
  13. Planned economy over free economy! Collectivism over individuality! Indoctrination over freedom of thought! Suppression over freedom of speech! Propaganda over freedom of expression! You are free to do as we tell you to! Did i miss something? Sure sounds like wonderful tenets for a civilized and modern society.
  14. Hahahahah.............Hahahahahahahahahhahahahahhaha Your trolling techniques are becoming better by the day.
  15. "Being able to touch people as a ruler and see how they react, that's what we want." Oh, oh, oh....dear.
  16. Jesus christ, those bewbs are uglaaaeee. Bioware quickly! Call the boob-designers at CD Project. They knew how to make the most wonderful boobs that us boobmen out there would cherish forever. And that "Grunt" fellow isn't unpredictable or anything. He's simply an angry mongoloid on stereoids. I was surprised that it could even talk.
  17. Penn & Teller: Bull**** had an episode about Planet X, the year 2012 and so on about 2 weeks ago. Basically, the people behind it wanted to make money on people's fears.
  18. From work, should be a 100mbit line
  19. I really like the possibility of never meeting Sie/other characters if i do missions in a certain way + the possibility of completing the game without killing anyone. This game might be better than Bloodlines!
  20. *Shrugs* Since little seem to matter from ME1, why the hell not?
  21. So, you gained nothing then? If you know what i mean. *wink-wink, nudge-nudge*
  22. Work out? What's that? You are all a bunch of fairies
  23. It's pretty much custom made, thus it will take some time to build it. Specs for those interested: - Ibanez RG like body, made out of mahoganny wood - Neck made out of a 3-piece maple wood - Fretboard made out Rosewood - Tribal Red and Black finish - Reverse inline headstock - Dual Cepheus passive pickups - 28.625" scale length on the neck - 8-stringed - Tuned from low to high: F#BEADGBE - String gauges from high to low: .009, .012, .015, .022, .030, .040, .054, .072 (in order to play everything from Dire Straits to Meshuggah) It is going to be a beast. I might as well call it "DEATHCRUSH" or something.
