  1. Reminds me of former Australian PM, Scott Morrison, who not only didn't support renewable energy, but actually worked against it. To the poing of trying to prevent local state governments from any initiatives, that encourated solar or wind energy (because it hurts the oil, gas and coal industry). If nothing else, it created a lot of Don Quijote memes, where Morrison was shown charging windmills (his actions being so absurd it made you think of British humour at times)
  2. Ekhm. I think it will depend on difficulty you play on and content you plan to tackle. I had a jRPG friend who finished crit path and a lot of side content on easier difficulty while not being good at dodge/parry. I am orettt confident there are encouragers in the game that one won’t be able to power through with stats - in fact the hardest optional boss completely bypasses your defensive mechanics. But thats „I want more combat content” and isn’t required for full narrative experience. Possible spoilers but this is what you have to deal with: Simon! Yeah, you can’t do more then 9,999 damage until you reach third act. So: Balance doesn’t become a major issue until act3 - essentially you can go to the finale of the game or do end game content. Advice I got was to do finale as soon as possible and explorer later. I sort of did it - finished companions quests first and then proceeded to the end. Unless they rebalanced the end game the final boss will be a pushover either way. It just depends how much of a pushover he will be - will you one shot him with your super ability or will you one shot him with a normal attack. Pick your poison I suppose.
  3. Yeah, I read about the crit pictos after I posted that. As for mastering pictos I just dump them on Lune and so I keep up with any new ones. The bigger issue I have is missing them, I know I missed one in the area before the gestral village that gives you +1 ap at the start of battle and at this point in the game it's a bit of backtracking to get it (just got Monoco). Luckily I find out about that little nugget soon after the arena so I didn't have to reload much. I remember that from watching the stream that eventually you start getting a ridiculous numbers of them. The biggest problem I have, and this is applicable to any game of this type, is that I want to explore everything before I move on the main story. At this point I only leave a fight for later if I cannot see the health bar of the enemy moving when I do damage. The flip side is that it trivializes main story enemies, but such is life. Pretty sure you can and if nothing else you can lower the difficulty. As majestic already mentioned, if you cheese, which is not hard, you can one shot most enemies. Although it takes a while to get to that point, but until then you can pump health and defense.

  5. Update 1.21 Hi all, the Earthshaker subclass has been updated to 1.21. I made a few balance passes to it and removed some unintuitive mechanic (namely Terramote and Crushing Boulder). This mod right now is sitting at a point where I am mostly satisfied with, and I encourage you to give it try. Thank you!
  6. Looks like I'm almost done with Shadow of the Erdtree. This DLC is so big, I probably have spend the same amount of time on other Souls games. Same as the base game, the visuals are just so damn good. The fights don't seem to be too hard anymore either. Guess they did some tweaking with patches after release. Or I just got better, but I kinda doubt it.

  8. Kharg Island was put out of commission during the Iraq-Iran war, so Iran has been through this type of oil shipment denial before. I'm skeptical they will bow to threats to occupy the island or blow it up, when they can effectively keep the Straits of Hormuz closed to oil traffic, then charge a high toll fee. Redacted's other threats to Iran would deal a hardship to the Iranian people, but I doubt it would remove the current government. The longer this war goes on, the greater the time and repairs necessary to get the goods flowing again. It's looking like a pyrrhic victory for the US.
  9. Alexander Brandon the composer of many all time classic soundtracks, including Deus Ex, Tyrian, Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Zehir, cannot get a full time job. https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/its-brutal-out-there-deus-ex-and-unreal-composer-says-hes-submitted-50-resumes-and-gotten-one-interview-in-the-last-year/
