  1. For whatever it is worth, I tend to not care for jRPGs, but I enjoyed CO:E33 gameplay anyway. It's jRPG systems are actually rather overshadowed by dodge/parry mechanic which makes it closer to baby's first Sekiro. One optional boss in particular felt very FromSoftware. That however, I think is also a weakness as while the game does have variety of characters with their own gimmicks, and neat character building system, it does just dictates how much dodging/parrying one will have to do per-encounter. That said, story is the selling point.

  2. I just realised I own Greedfall. And have it installed. So I am trying that. First impression: yup, definitely a Spiders game.

  3. I’ll keep it simple, I’m trying to have aunties choice and the order team up, I’ve already talked to Ruth now I have to talk to auntie. It will not let me. When I talk to the VPs in the room where I need to talk to auntie the only option I get is to use aunties choice to help take over the spire and archive etc. I literally can’t team them up. Is there any way to fix this, I really wanted to team them up but cannot. Please help

  5. @Mirole you didnt solve it, you just did things slightly different than the rest of us. But, for those of us who chose the path of uniting aunties choice and the order, and decided to conquer the archive without help or reinforcements, we are stuck. We called the lift already,.went.through the underworld etc. Theres no fix for this..i just continued and now im at the endpoint. Im not happy about it, but it is what it is. I realize what it would take to fix this bug, and obsidian just isnt willing to spend the money to do so. Some things just cant be predicted. But damn lol

  6. I'm reminded of a quote from The Longest Day: "There it is, he's at it again! Have you ever heard such a racket in all your life?"

  7. Good morning, I have a problem. When I enter a multiplayer game, I have no sound. It works fine in single-player mode. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, verifying the files, and changing Windows audio settings. I have Sony MX5 headphones, but I also tried using other headphones, and I still have the same issue.

  8. Same issue, after resolving the personality crisis, i have floating marker of "Hand over the Calcaduceus" with no body showing and nothing happen. In Journal, it show as "The archive is badly damaged. You will not be able to hand over the Calcaduceus until you have made the repairs necessary to generate the rift data"

  9. I'm about 30 hours in Outer Worlds 2. The character progression is a huge improvement over OW1. Flaws and perks really change the game and give you a lot of options for development. It is one of the best leveling systems I've played in awhile. I'm also really enjoying the companions. This cast compares favorably to the ones in KotOR 2. It is a diverse group and I'm interested in getting to know more about each one of them. So yeah, another Obsidian win for me.

  11. Similar issue here. After talking to Ruth "An Equitable Arrangement" is active and I need to go talk to Auntie. Speaking to Gertie gives me "Remember what we discussed and act ... equitably". The marker sends me to talk to Ursula Ormsby. The only options I get are "Damn all consequences! I'll take the Archive for you". Patch 1.0.5.0 did not fix it.

  12. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. It's just a bigger and more polished version of Clair Obscure: Expedition 34. *ba dumm tis* If you don't get the joke with 34, then you just haven't played the game yet. Go and fix that. Unless you're @Bartimaeus and are very likely to be creeped out the by character looks. Not sure what I can or want to add to the discussion at the moment, other than to join in with the superlatives. Outside of the same-y and "feels generated by AI, but art direction clearly says it they were crafted deliberately" hallway-shooter style levels, it is easily game of the decade material. Well, if one just ignores the mini-games found in the beach areas. If you're not like me and can let go of an achievement (and, uh, don't really want the swimsuit outfits for your characters anyway), just don't bother. Given the small team that made the game, the problems with the level designs can easily be forgiven. The minigames though, dunno, really. Someone tested those and left them in. The other things in the game that almost drove me mad are very much my own fault. It's not the game's fault that I spent almost twenty hours going through areas I very clearly wasn't supposed to be yet, just because it is possible with the combat system. Also not the game's fault that the areas of the final part of the game that weren't designed for super high level parties are pretty lackluster with an overpowered party. I mean, after all, you're not really supposed to grind levels from the mid 20ies to the early 80ies in Frozen Hearts - especially not before finding the limit break pictos.

  15. Hi. I have the same problem. Like many other guys on the internet. One on reddit. One on steam. I've already done the bridge thing before starting all this. I will not start again from the beginning. Waiting for a fix, even if this CRITICAL bug is known for 2 weeks now.

  16. Thanks for sharing. I like this review very much, because it pushes back at something that's been seriously bothering me about people's views and reviews of games recently, namely this argument that '2' is just a bigger and more polished version of '1' and therefore it's somehow not a good game worth playing. No one seriously made this claim with past '2's, most notably D:OS2 which *was* merely a bigger and more polished version of '1'. But now, those very same people (pro and amateur reviewers alike) who gushed over games like D:OS2 are pushing this silly claim about TOW2. I chalk it up to a very dangerous increase in an entitlement mentality among people in recent years.
