  1. I've created some mods and have been using them in my playthrough. I'm sharing them in case someone finds them useful. They're compatible with Patchwork framework, making them compatible with other mods such as 6 Party Size. * [Disable Screen Shake](https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/784): Disable Screen Shake, I love to use Meteor Shower but I feel that the screen shake effects makes it more confusing during combat. Here is the video example: https://youtu.be/02_JYRUiDgM * [Allow Godlikes to wear hats](https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/783): In this playthrough I wanted to create a Godlike character in preparation for Avowed, but I also wanted to wear hats. Here is a photo of the mod enabled: https://i.ibb.co/2Nq4DLB/godlike-hat-mod.png

  2. It's not actually a bounty. It's a bunch of fampyrs in the west of the Russetwood map, led by Felisa. When you talk to them she says something about worshipping Berath - and if you picked up the bounty assignment for Metzla first (who's also a worshipper of Berath) you might get the impression that the fampyrs are that bounty. After not "properly" playing PoE1 for several years now (except the one quick run I did right before recording the video to fresh up my memory a bit) the details of some quests or encounters sometimes become fuzzy. In my head I put those fampyrs away as a bounty encounter although they are not. Yes, the Vambraces. While talking I confused them with the Coil of Resourcefulness in my mind. Yes, but it "only" adds 0.25 secs (from 0.5 to 0.75) while the others we mentioned do add 0.5 seconds (from 0.35 to 0.75 or 0.5 to 1 sec). It's still useful even if it has stunning, too - because Interrupts can also occur on non-crits. But I wanted to focus on weapons that are usually overlooked/not talked about much - and Godansthunyr isn't one of those.

  3. I like the idea of them being peaceful and friendly neighbors, so I dislike anything that may disrupt the relationship. The concept of a merger may very well disrupt that, and not for the better.

  4. From what I recall, the protagonist in particular was lambasted for coming across as both whiny and ineffectual but also borderline sociopathic in presentation, and a lot of people hating their main character is something that shouldn't - cannot - happen. Also, the usual contingent of "she's uggo" gamers for people wanting to play the default female Ryder, but I personally thought many of the human faces in the Mass Effect games, especially in 2 and 3, looked like science experiments that had gone wrong already (probably because of BioWare going way farther to model and map real life people's faces onto characters' to, uh, varying degrees of success), so you know, it is what it is. I'd be pretty far down on the list of people trying to argue for all conventionally attractive characters in movies, shows, or video games, but I do prefer it when my brain doesn't keep screaming at me that a supposedly human character that looks like an alien wearing someone else's skin must be destroyed.

  5. It was worth watching for Nanami, at least. Those are fond/traumatic memories that are never going to leave me.

  6. The Utena movie is, in a way, a trinity: it is a sequel to the series, a parallel story and a retelling. It is well worth watching just for that alone, although without subjecting oneself to the somewhat overly long series that precedes it*, it is impossible to see or appreciate. I also expect that the film makes no sense without the context of the show, which is another achievement. I think movie only watchers, in spite of the film being a retelling of the series' story (of a sort), would not really to be able to make much sense of that, unless they're very versed in the subject matter. I guess I liked the series the most of all who watched it here, but even then, I am not sure if the occasional moment of brilliance (and figuring out what is going on well in advance of the conclusion) was really worth the time investment. It most certainly was not what I wanted to watch after I decided to try out another Ikuhara series, but then again... Utena is certainly not alone in that distinction. Out of everything I tried that the Sailor Moon creative team went on to make or was a part of, only Escaflowne ended up being really good - and we're talking about writers here who joined Sailor Moon relatively late (SuperS and Stars). *Arguably, the length of the series and its repetitions are part of the experience and therefore necessary to truly appreciate and understand what is going on. That does not, however, excuse the pacing issues of the Black Rose arc.

  7. Well, ok, some analysis. I like the basic setup of the story, and how it's different from the main series. But I have lots of problems with the story, mainly that the PC is given a hugely important title with almost religious reverence, out of pure nepotism from no actual results. And there's no reason the title or role should even exist, or given to just one person. And next to no one even comments on the ridiculousness of it. The other maim bugbear I have is that they took a 600 year trip to another galaxy, and no one apparently considered anything might go wrong, and apparently everyone expected it to be paradise on arrival. This kind of plot might suit a wackier setting with inefficient government like Outer Worlds, but doesn't really fit ME. There's a lack of suspense because the enemies apparently have a big space fleet, but prefer to have small squad shootouts on planets. None of the characters seem that interesting. Dunno how the plot develops, maybe it'll get better. As for gameplay, it's a weird mixup of ME1 and ME2/3, with wide open areas but still cover-based shooting. It kinda works ok, and is not that bad really. But most of the gameplay time is taken by planetary or area exploration, which just mounts to go to place X, press button, listen to narrative. Which would be kinda ok if all the places weren't so huge or if the narrative was interesting, so it ends up just being boring. Also, the game feels a bit unpolished. Lots of weird stuff, like stuff floating in the air, monsters spawning at your feet, the save corruptions I mentioned, which all just smells like unpolished content. I didn't follow ME:A when it was released, but I assume it was the lack of polish and uninteresting characters that killed the interest in it.

  8. I've been playing and stealing tips and tricks from you for years in this game. About to start a new run and decide to google a druid build only to find you still posting?! How awesome. Boeroer, know that your work is much appreciated!

  9. You know the little box that appears after you do something that furthers the plot. It usually shows up in the box with the amount of xp and/or credits you receive. But occassionally, a lone message box will appear. In your case, try going to the Refugee Sector. Just before you enter, you should receive a little message box with a journal note. Then, you'll get the message from Atton; telling you about the message from Visquis. If not, try going into the Refugee Sector and then leaving again. It should work. Let me know.
