  1. Past hour
  2. Today
  3. Honestly that sounds fairly sane given the state of the world.
  4. Got cussed at because I ignored some dude in the street telling me my Star Wars hoodie was cool. I just hold to the rules that in this city, people only talk to you on the street to beg, scam, sell or are insane people ("There's a holy war on for your testicles!!"), but occasionally are some funny results.
  5. Yesterday
  6. I'm loving it too. Although does anyone know if there's a mechanic to turn down the radio when people are talking? If there is an option, I don't see it. So it would be nice for this to be an option if possible. I'd like to turn it down both for actual conversations and for party banter.
  7. I don't care either way. Very few games do romance well. BG 3 did it fairly well with a couple of the companions, some not so good. DA: Origins did it great in most aspects (other than the gift giving mechanic) aside from the cringy S scenes. So far in this game there aren't any companions I want to romance. Although I've only seen 2 human companions so far. Miles and Inez. Neither one interest me the slightest. Miles is just another Jacob type character so far :).
  8. So I'm playing Deadfire again with a goal to complete ultimate challenge. I should have done this long time ago, but I was demotivated by potentially tedious work and I've never really try it. I have much more fun playing with party. I did some research in last few days and omg - the exploits you all have found are hilarious. Years ago I new about procing brilliant, spamming BDD and SoT, but it seemed so boring in a long run, that I never wanted to do it myself. I never cheesed with SoF or Cabalist's Gambeson but it looks like everything besides pure cheating is allowed, and I'm sure this one exploit will do the trick for my run. Slippers of the Assassin looks like something what can trivialize exploration and stealth sections. I'm playing as SC Nalpazca monk. Currently in my test run without Wael's challenge and ToI. The goal is to trigger and prolong most of usefull buffs (Scordeo's etc.) and consumables (drugs and more fun stuff), use Dichotomus Soul for tanking and pulling Arcane Dampener, Stunning Surge with some blunderbuss/mortar cheese for getting back mortification, Resonant Touch and ofcourse WotW with Hand Mortar and Current's Rush. Perception and Intellect are maxed out. I will be using Xoti's Lantern to restore mortification on summoned blights from Magran's belt. I need to plan optimal route to do Beast of Winter early for the scepter. I think it will be doable as SC monk, even with Vela. Combining summoned blight with Dichotomus Soul should keep her frightened in place while initiate agro in any main fight - on top of some shenaingans with scrolls of Withdraw, leap from the boots and some CC. Only Scyroielaphas, Rymrgand and SSS arena seem to be challenging because of small distance between enemies and Vela. I'm not sure how it will go with Auranic and her stones, but summons should be enough to make her loose all spells. I'm learning some conversations again, because I never played with english text. Tbh I just started (completed Fort Deadlight and visited Dunnage). I can't find 100% accurate information about the bridge interaction in SSS - the buggy one. I read that it requires 14 mechanics or 14 survival to check the bridge and then 14 Dex or some Athletics to cross it? I never really paid attention to this obstacle while playing with party. Also - is there any method that allows to guess current location of Deck of Many Things or its route is it totally random? I hope I will work it out. I have something special for Josh Sawyer in my run. My watcher should get his attention with some funny, nostalgic reference with the name and the portrait.
  9. The Navy docs were so disappointed that I had mine out already. Just like the barbers in bootcamp, they were so disappointed my hair was already buzzed when I showed up.
  10. Leaving the planet and coming back re-set the bodies location. I was finally able to loot it, but before I was able to leave the body was underground as seen int he image I attached.
  11. I have defeated the first boss and realised that I strongly dislike the combat system. The boss, unlike me, also could block the attacks. In terms of traversal and stealth, it is possible to travel via the rooftops, the PC kills really quietly (you can chain-stealth-kill), and the opponents have a relatively low range of vision. An early spoiler for the NPC companion: An early spoiler for the first boss battle: The game opened up afterwards, with several quests to choose from across the city. The clan representatives offer to unlock the other clans' abilities for some blood points. I have also spent some more time with the GameUserSettings.ini file. Can't say that I've achieved much, though. Screenshots: Screenshots with some spoilers:
  12. Seems like there was a GPU driver update that wasn't offered by my Nvidia experience program but was shown on another site. I've installed it and the game now appears to be stable, I've gotten farther then before.
  13. Yep, exactly the same on PS5. Infuriating. Can't find any help online.
  14. June Lockhart, 100. Watched her in Lost in Space as a kid (in reruns, I'm not that old).
  15. The digital artbook recognizes my dualsense controller, but the game doesn't. Seems bizarre. Literally doesn't detect I have a controller connected.

  18. I see that there is a soundtrack only dlc now for avowed, while I have the artbook/avowed dlc. You got the soundtrack dlc with the premium edition?
  19. Played some of the outer worlds. Finished the intro section. I'm sure I'll come around to it but I don't like how it started. These sorts of games the more blank the slate for your character the better (imo). This one they really have a backstory and you start as the captain of a ship. Not a deal breaker but definitely making it harder for me to get into it.
  20. What are your specs, on which platform are you playing the game?
  21. I receive a fatal error a few minutes into character creation, the game then forces a shutdown. I can't get further then the intro dialogue. This is on PC, here are the things I have tried: Updating drivers Capping FPS Checking task manager (all performance normal) reinstall the game Ran in compatibility mode Ran as admin Fiddle with graphic settings (turning off certain settings, setting settings to low,...) None of this seems to solve the issue, any ideas? The error is not giving me much to go on.
  22. Not sure what to tell you, I also have a premium edition of Avowed and it came as a standard Steam Soundtrack. Looks like this So I was hoping for somethings similar for OW2.
  23. I have the premium edition and can only access the soundtrack through the app, as far as I know. So far it's the same with OW2.
  24. I don't have much experience as a solo Wizard, but here are some things that are generally useful: Concelhaut's Parasitic Staff is excellent for the early game. It's a lot more efficient than using damaging spells, so you have to rest less often. It comes exceptional - which is already fantastic at lvl 1, but more importantly it has nearly twice the base damage of normal two handers. That means nearly +100% multiplicative(!) damage. *rogues cry* Chillfog is also one of the best spells early on. Tier 3 affliction on a AoE with pulsing rolls (rng is less of a problem), pulsing damage, long duration. Later in the game I consider Slicken to be better than Chillfog because it can make a huge difference in certain fights who disables whom first. If you can Slicken-prone Lagufaeth or Adragans before they can paralyze you the fight is won - the other way round it's lost. Chillfig will not win you this duel of hard disables. Confusion is very strong in PoE. Hence all spells which cause Confusion are excellent and can win you lots of fights alone. Get Ninagauth's Shadowflame. It is excellent bc. it combines hard CC with good dmg -> fantastic action and spell use economy. Against certain bosses, Combusitng Wounds + Wall of Flames + Chillfog is a fantastic combo. Most dragons are not immune to paralyze, so using paralyzing effects in them works very well (it also means +100% dmg received which is nice against those big dmg sponges). Dropping RES without any means to raise Concentration otherwise WILL be a problem against numerous, fast hitting foes unless you can raise your defenses a lot (may be expensive in terms of spell uses though). Defenses like dflection hae increasing returns, so I wouldn't drop RES in the first place. Medium and large shields do indeed put their acc malus onto your offensive spells You can run away and break engagement - you will eat a disengagement attack though. If you have very high deflection it's not a big deal. If you are faster than the enemy (bc. Deleterious Alacrity and/or Boots of Speed etc.) the enemies will not pursue far bc. their AI recognizes that it's pointless. The guy's name is Raedric (the Seventh) Infuse with Vital Essence can be used to restore health (no endurance but health). It works with all healing modifiers (MIG, healing done, healing received). If you still have lots of spell uses but are at low health you can use it to prevent resting. If you take it as Spell Mastery (I like that) you can use it at the end of fights and stay at +90% health all the time. It can be used to outheal your damage in tough, long encounters: usually there's a limit with how much damage to endurance you can outheal because at some point your health will be so low that you cannot heal anymore. Not if you have uses of Infuse with Vital Essence left. Using Infuse with Vital Essence also means you can lower CON. Your health pool can be smaller - since you can heal it. You cannot solo several encounters at the levels you used to with a party. You will have to come back later for the bear cave, Raedric etc. Summons are very important whe4n going solo. Interestingly Essential Phantom is a lvl-4 spell. So you can have it as spell mastery. That means a free summon in every fight. Although it's competing with Shadowflame and Confusion which makes this a really tough call. Wall of Many Colors: fantastic spell I think DEX is important. As I said above: many fights are about who disables whom first. Casting speed matters. I find it a lot more important than MIG and also more important than PER.
  25. You have access to the Avowed soundtrack separately?
  26. On the quest "A Final Death for Gravity" it looks like if you don't grab the boots off of the corpse right away, when you come back the corpse is gone. I ran around looking for where it could have gone and it looks like it's under ground now. It used to be on the ground in front of the giant lift, but now the only marker for the quest I see is down underneath the lift, which you can't get to. See the attached screenshot.
