The TV and Streaming Thread: That's Entertainment!
Hurlshort replied to LadyCrimson's topic in Way Off-Topic
Amazon Prime has always had the 2nd tier content compared to most streamers. They've hit it big with a few TV shows, but most of their documentaries and movies are pretty weak. That being said, I save way over the cost of Prime in shipping, so it's hardly an issue. -

Why would anyone pay for Prime Video only? As far as I can tell, they have like 5 free movies nowadays, and everything else needs to be rented. Don't see much a point in it anymore. -

Yeah, don't know. Prime Video bundles a lot of channels and other stuff and is a video rental system, but since this is a Prime Video exclusive title you can only watch it with the Amazon Prime subscription. Can't even rent it without, so it's not an Amazon ad per se, probably just a plug for Prime Air. It helps to bear in mind that it was filmed in 2020 during the lockdowns. I don't know how Prime Air is doing these days, but it sure shows no sign of being available here, and I'd venture there's a ton of troublesome EU regulations preventing an easy rollout. Methinks Mango Mussolini needs to threaten some more tariffs if they don't give Bezos unrestricted access to the airspace. - Today

Good Old Games still oldies but goodies

I dove deep into the adulty parts of the interwebz and looked around a bit. Well, there is a lot of Renpy in that list, so expect those games to be a similar experience to Treasure of Nadia (so not really worth your time). Leap of Love changes the formula to at least to such extend that you are boosting your skills to impress a girl and live happily ever after - so the adult part isn't the main focus as in those other games, that are just an excuse to throw mediocre renders at you. Honestly, reading up on Leap of Love, I like the concept that you are a frog turned prince, but now you have to make sure a princes will actually want you around for ever after, so you don't get re-frogged. Adult version of Long Live The Queen, without being the queen. HuniePop is the only one on the list I actually played years and years ago. It is a decent match 3 game, and I play match 3 games to zone out. But there is so many, I have enough SFW choices that I don't need the NSFW ones. Sapphire Safari seems to be national geographics meets monster girl porn. So again at least it gets points for trying something different. Personally not my thing once more. But then again, nothing in that bundle is If I were to play any of the games on that list, it would be HuniePop for matching threes, Leap of Love for helping an amphibian out, or Sapphire Safari as a walking simulator. But match 3s and walking simulators you have better choices in the SFW part of gaming, because as always, those aspects of a game you aren't interested in do affect the ones you are - dev time is limited. For example the devs who thought King Arthur Knight's Tale needs a VS mode, took time away from the programmers that could have been used to properly integrate the free dlc into the campaign. Which means, meh. I wouldn't waste my time if I were you. -

Huh, I never thought people might have Prime Video without Amazon Prime. Seems obvious but it somehow never occurred to me. -

I'm liking the recipes, just one slight adjustment, Cricket Hoppers (bounce shoes. Good name??) 3 crude rope instead of 4, no idea why but 4 seems a wee bit excessive to me, 3 seems ok

Hi, Your asking the wrong people, its Sony you need to be talking too. This is due to Sony having rules on multiplatform games were PlayStation must not have any difference (missing features or content) from any other platform for any amount of time. So for example, if you patch something in on PC or Xbox it must appear on PlayStation at the same time - no delay. This is not usually possible or desirable when a game is in Early Access and hence why PlayStation has so few early access games on it. Also one of the reasons why Grounded was only released on PlayStation once its was complete. So I suspect you have 18 month+ to wait unless Sony relax this rule, but it will get there or get a PC/Steamdeck/Xbox in the mean time.

I've got an abundance of ant, weaver and mite parts, it's insane. But yeah maybe use the Grinder and we could grind flower petals with grub goo and some colour stuff for different paints, maybe chocolate chunks for black, billy hog for an ochre (reddish brown), etc, the petals could be the base RGB colours and the additional parts could be used for non RGB but still use the petals.

Constant crashing and bugs
Shotglass88 replied to Donaldray86's topic in Grounded 2: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
My husband and I are having the same issues. Single player runs with no issues. But if we get on multiplayer together, we are constantly getting kicked. -
I have claimed the bundle and played Treasure of Nadia for 30 minutes. I am unsure what I expected in terms of writing and gameplay. The 7GB of looped pre-rendered animations are generally fine, I guess. If anyone else tried any of the other games in the bundle, is there anything worth playing (that is not Postal 2)?

i thought that was my stick drift lol, glad it's not, so on that note, Agreed

i agree G2 is amazing. In answer to your list 1. I mentioned this on another post, but, a Hot Deposit/Build From Storage Distance setting in custom game settings would appease everyone, settings could be: G1 Original 20cm. G2 Standard 40cm. Enhanced 80cm. Extreme 160cm. Infinite. That said the 40cm is a radius from the player 2. They are working on that 3. You're not dumb, I don't think you can harvest them without cutting the grass. That said, maybe we could use a bow to break the ice 4. Agreed, Buggys have separation anxiety, especially my ANTonio Banderas (yes I'm crazy lol) but when you jump off your buggy, say on a resource run, you can look at it and press LT to make it stay put (don't know PC key) but it would be nice to not have it crowd you 5. Yeah some form of buggy aid is needed 6. Maybe we could use the Plating to upgrade it like we do armour, sound suggestion 7. Not really a needed feature, especially if you Sort your inventory whenever you access it, a habit i suggest getting into, and learning the sorted layout. That said, those category designations for the Hotpouch needs to come back 8. Yes, absolutely yes, and Hot Deposit from the buggy inventory, the number of times i ran out of food, only to find my ANTonio had some is mad -

Queer Games Bundle 2025 is up. Later this year due to the technical/admin issues, as I understand, and not related to the MC/Visa bs. https://itch.io/b/3062/queer-games-bundle-2025-with-10-option https://itch.io/b/3063/queer-games-bundle-2025-pay-what-you-can-edition -

honestly not a bad idea, instead of a standard trinket though, how about an automatic lantern that sits in the trinket slot, that turns on at 1900 and off at 0700. Or allow us to upgrade the headlamp to match our armour, or a variant for each archetype, so a circlet lamp for mage, ladybug or snail for fighter etc, basically using the corresponding resources, they could name them Mage Light, Fighter lamp, Rogue Light, etc -
Ok, like others have said rolling back the drivers fixes the issue. The latest Nividia 580.88 was causing it for me. Other issues I've noted are; building placement doesn't seem as flexible as Grounded 1. Also a lot more pieces clip through the floor or float mid-air. I remember G1 being like this early on but it was fixed to the point of being the best building mechanics in any game. Perhaps my biggest gripe though is general performance. I use a 5090 and I've had to drop to Medium just to get good frames. Stutters like every other UE5 game too. I get it's Early Access but performance is honestly shocking. This would be my priority fix because bad performance is what turns people away from the game.

Nintendo Switch 2 Grounded Patch
radagastbron replied to xPabl1to's topic in Grounded: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I too Would like an update or Switch 2 Edition. I feel like my New save file is crapping out on my Switch 2. The oak tree is glitchy in the night and day cut scene building placement is glitchy are some of the things I've noticed since switching to the Switch 2.- 6 replies

Make your buggy be able to harvest higher tier items as you upgrade your Omni tool. Being able to use you any buggy to harvest plants is such a cool little detail. So nice not having to get off every two seconds to chop something down. Thought once you move on to higher tier items you have to get off and chop it yourself. Also a way to keep the inventory from constantly being rearranged would be nice. I like to have my inventory in a certain order but it seems like it constantly gets rearranged any time I get another item or swap weapons. Great game so far can’t wait to see what improvements are made and what new content is coming.

While the firefly headlamp was great, I would like an option of a light trinket too, so that I don't have to give up head armor defense to hold a shield in dark areas, especially if this game is going to scale up past tier 3. (though the only time I found a lightsource necessary for combat in the first game was termites, since they don't have eyes to glow and give me tells.)
