TheisEjsing Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Am I the only one who is super psyched, that we can find non-kiths for our ship crew? I love that! Meeting new exotic species, and forcing them to steer your ship. Nice one Obsidian! 5
FlintlockJazz Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Meeting new exotic species, and forcing them to steer your ship. Deadfire, the next frontier. To seek out new life and new civilisations, and to pressgang them into the crew! To boldly pressgang where no one has pressganged before! But yeah, I liked that too, be very interesting! Be interesting to learn just what Obsidian count as 'non-kith' too. 4 "That rabbit's dynamite!" - King Arthur, Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail "Space is big, really big." - Douglas Adams
smjjames Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Theres Vithrak and we know there are ogres in the deadfire, so ogres are a possibility. They probably require large ships though. Having construct crew are a possibility as well.
Juodas Varnas Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Vithrack Amiral ! If only there was a Vithrack Companion as well 1
MaxQuest Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Tehee, spirit/vessel crew + fungi quartermaster. PoE1 useful stuff: attack speed calculator, unofficial patch mod, attack speed mechanics, dot mechanics, modals exclusivity rules PoE2 useful stuff: community patch, attack speed mechanics, enemy AR and defenses

FlintlockJazz Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 A dragon?… That's how you upgrade to skyship. 2 "That rabbit's dynamite!" - King Arthur, Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail "Space is big, really big." - Douglas Adams
smjjames Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 (edited) A dragon?… Interesting. Though would a dragon in a womans body still count as non-kith? If that's who I think you're referring to. A dragon?… That's how you upgrade to skyship. lol Edited August 16, 2017 by smjjames
Nail Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 As I recall they said that there will be ogres on the ships... Guess there is a chance for any wilder, primordial, beast, spirit or vessel NPCs... Done this with Moon Godlike Wizard Perebor steam
injurai Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 A dragon?… Don't worry guys, she's 1000 years old.
algroth Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 (edited) The adra dragon we could find a vessel for in the first Pillars could make for an interesting crew member. Though she would of course be kith in her current state. Edited August 16, 2017 by algroth My Twitch channel: https://www.twitch.tv/alephg Currently playing: Roadwarden
smjjames Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 A dragon?… Don't worry guys, she's 1000 years old. I thought she was over 2000 years old? She was a wyvernling in Caed Nuas time.
kierun Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 A dragon?… Interesting. Though would a dragon in a womans body still count as non-kith? If that's who I think you're referring to. No, I was thinking a new dragon, in dragon form. However, the Arda Dragon would be an interesting addition indeed: "shame" if you killed her in PoE. smjjames Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 An actual dragon crew member would be interesting for sure. Gonna have to be one of the biggest ships though. Or maybe a sea dragon ally.

Sedrefilos Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 It sounds fun, but it doesn't make me super hyped tbh They're probably gonna be some xaurip or a golem, a spirit...
smjjames Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Anyone remembers the Helmsmen in A Land Fit For Heroes?… Nope as I've never read the series.
kierun Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 Anyone remembers the Helmsmen in A Land Fit For Heroes?… Nope as I've never read the series. It is really good, if you wanted a totally unbiased opinion from a stranger on the Internet⸮… ☺ 1 Nescire autem quid ante quam natus sis acciderit, id est semper esse puerum. rjshae Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 Restless, you lie awake up at night, tossing and turning. Something doesn't seem quite right, but you can't put a finger on it. Finally you decide to walk the decks. It is dark topside, with nobody about. This isn't right. Growing increasingly concerned, you look about and spot a mysterious stranger at the helm. Quickly you yell out for the night watch, but the mysterious stranger gathers his robe about him, slithers across the deck, and dives into the ocean. All it leaves behind is a trail of slime running across the deck.... 3 "It has just been discovered that research causes cancer in rats."
