teknoman2 Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 ??? 1 The words freedom and liberty, are diminishing the true meaning of the abstract concept they try to explain. The true nature of freedom is such, that the human mind is unable to comprehend it, so we make a cage and name it freedom in order to give a tangible meaning to what we dont understand, just as our ancestors made gods like Thor or Zeus to explain thunder. -Teknoman2- What? You thought it was a quote from some well known wise guy from the past? Stupidity leads to willful ignorance - willful ignorance leads to hope - hope leads to sex - and that is how a new generation of fools is born! We are hardcore role players... When we go to bed with a girl, we roll a D20 to see if we hit the target and a D6 to see how much penetration damage we did. Modern democracy is: the sheep voting for which dog will be the shepherd's right hand.
Raithe Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 For the very British headline... 2 "Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum."
the_dog_days Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 For the very British headline... Why did they not take a picture of the entire article? There's not even a street address!

Bartimaeus Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 (edited) I've read some bad comic strips in this thread, but I think that one really takes the cake. Edited August 22, 2017 by Bartimaeus 3 Quote How I have existed fills me with horror. Hurlshort Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 (edited) I've read some bad comic strips in this thread, but I think that one really takes the cake. It was so long and so terrible. I thought maybe it would get funny at the end or something, but it was just bleh. edit: I've spent countless hours debating politics and religion and video games on this forum, but reading that comic really made me question if I am spending my time wisely here. Gfted1 Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 Personally, I would never want to visit Cambodia, Im more of a Thailand kinda guy, but maybe the comic is trying to show the societal differences between Eastern and Western culture? "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"

And boiling it down to women in the West being...aggressive, abusive, manipulative?...and women in the East being...sweet and submissive? I mean, really, it just seems kind of pathetic... 1 Quote How I have existed fills me with horror. Gfted1 Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 Hey, I didnt write it! Just trying to find the point of it. "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
Bartimaeus Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 (edited) That's good, because it was pretty poorly written outside of the overall narrative, too. I also just remembered that it was posted here in the funny things thread...which seems an odd place for it if you're taking it at face value...maybe it's a parody of something else? Gfted1 Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 Probably just a case of; stereotype gon stereotype. Back in my day, the dark and unenlightened times it was generally considered that Eastern women were more subservient than Western women. *ducks* "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"

Sigh. The struggle to hit my comedic timing goes on. Regarding the comic, sure it's long and rambling and has a weak punchline . . . just like every other political joke on this thread.
Chilloutman Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 did they really aired that? xD 3 I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiene"

Gromnir Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 (edited) should probably be in the politics thread, but wth. negative campaigns is hardly new, but this above is extreme enough it made us chuckle... which am doubtful were the intended response.
