BruceVC Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 South African youths raving in NA headgear? Huh. I dont know anything about NA culture so I didnt know that was considered disrespectful either! I think I may have even had a faux one of my own when I was a wee demon. Authentic ones are spectacular to behold. It is (said to be). Long time ago I've read lots of rage stories from people going to A Tribe called Red concerts, etc who complained about white people wearing em headgears and such. I personally think they should feel cool about it, because it shows the fans having interest in this kind of stuff, but most decide to feel insulted. I would be interested in what Gromnir thinks about this? I had to do some research on this to see why it was considered offensive to NA but Im sure there will be different opinions on this within the NA community "Abashed the devil stood and felt how awful goodness is and saw Virtue in her shape how lovely: and pined his loss” John Milton "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” - George Bernard Shaw "What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead" - Nelson Mandela
Guard Dog Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 The world would be a better place if all the humans would just get over themselves. Being offended is something you choose to do. You can all me anything you want, insult my parents, my ancestry, whatever. Don't lay a hand on me or mine and we'll still be cool. 1 "While it is true you learn with age, the down side is what you often learn is what a damn fool you were before" Thomas Sowell
Gfted1 Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 ...but most decide to feel insulted. I don't really understand the exclusionary mentality either. As a test, I called Rosatis pizzeria and asked if they only employed pizza makers from Naples but the East Indian guy that answered the phone just laughed at me. Being serious though, I imagine only chiefs / medicine men / tribal bigwigs got to wear them? http://www.sloganizer.net/en/image,Gfted1,black,red.png

HoonDing Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Well, he does have some catching up to do. Obama killed millions. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

I hope for Powerman 5000 - Bombshell soundtrack. 1 Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. Zoraptor Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Well, he does have some catching up to do. Three months in a row that the US has killed the most civilians in Syria as well. Maybe Obama deserved the Nobel Peace Prize after all at least in comparison to his predecessor/ successor.
rjshae Posted April 15, 2017 Posted April 15, 2017 Gen. Michael Hayden: N Korea will make nuke capable of hitting Seattle! Situation will be dire as soon as they can hit a city worth saving. — Ann Coulter (@AnnCoulter) April 6, 2017 Disregarding the pure evil nature of her statement, implying that an opponent can strike a U.S. city without repercussions will encourage that opponent to do so. The only logical position is to say that a strike on any U.S. city is a strike against the entire country, be that city Seattle, Detroit, New Orleans, or M. Coulter's kitchen. Volourn Posted April 15, 2017 Posted April 15, 2017 You know all that crying over the Pepsi ad and how 'awful' it was and how quickly PEpsi pulled it because of online backlash? Well... seems the 'awful' ad actually was apositive for Pepsi overall despite (or ebcause of) the over the top ridiculous reaction.... https://ca.yahoo.com/finance/news/kendall-jenner-ad-made-people-135100003.html What is funny that while SJWs made a huge deal of it it was republicans who actually were more likely to react negatively to it in the 'real world'. BruceVC Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 My question is who's gonna be the white man who has to start suing and getting people fired because of racism and sexism? Its a good question because in most places that would apply but we handle these things apparently differently in SA...the article was retracted and Huffington apologized ? http://www.huffingtonpost.co.za/shelley-garland/could-it-be-time-to-deny-white-men-the-franchise_a_22036640/ Is that sufficient in your view? Guard Dog Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 Ann Ravel and Ellen Weintraub have to be two of the most evil people on the American left. I can't imagine anyone has done more so suppress free speech in this country or been in a position to do more. Except perhaps Obama when using the IRS as his "thought police". Those two are two of the three democrat appointed commissioners on the FEC. In the past they have tried to shut down web sites who they claim express political opinions (that they disagree with). Chief among those has been the Drudge Report which just links news articles from other sources rather than produce content on it's own. But if you look at what she is suggesting here they are not just looking to "regulate" news content but the posts of individual people posting in a political discussion thread. They could force Obsidian to no allow political discussions here in WoT for example. Especially if opinions are being expressed that are deemed "inappropriate" (meaning not left leaning). https://heatst.com/politics/former-fec-chairwoman-calls-for-regulations-of-political-speech-on-the-internet/ 2 "While it is true you learn with age, the down side is what you often learn is what a damn fool you were before" Thomas Sowell
