Vaeliorin Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Did Massive Chalice ever come out and if so was it any good?It did come out, but was apparently pretty bad. Boring, repetitive content and zero replay value, from what I've read, which is sad because I was interested in it. I almost backed it, but Schafer. 1
ShadySands Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Thanks! I almost backed it too but didn't for the same reason and never kept up with it Free games updated 3/4/21
Hurlshort Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 I enjoyed Massive Chalice. Yes, it was repetitive, but the combat was not too bad and the lineage lines were interesting. I would say it was worth a bargain bin pickup, maybe $10 or so. It was really more of a few good concepts with unfulfilled promise. The hallmark of Doublefine games, really.

Vaeliorin Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Extremely disappointed from the FFVII Trailer... They essentially turned it into Hack and Slash... /sadpanda Are you sure? Looked to me like you still had Attack/Magic/Summon/Item in the lower left, they just made the animations all fancy. I'd be really sad if I couldn't spend hours grinding Master Tonberrys while half-asleep by running in circles and spamming the x button...though I'm not sure I'll even buy the remake, despite spending far too many hours playing FF VII when I was younger. The bigger complaint is that Barret is too skinny and they haven't made Yuffie the main character.
HoonDing Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Hope they make Aerith's death scene better, that looked stupid even in '97. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
Keyrock Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 I've never been that attached to FFVII, so I'm cool with whatever changes they make. Now, if they ever remake FFVI, I might flip the **** out over changes. 1 RFK Jr 2024 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks

I really wish they'd do something like what Shadow of Mordor does with at least part of its main quest. That is not copying the Nemesis System exactly but the idea of giving you room to complete a larger goal in your own way with your own unique path and result. But likely it will be typical Ubisoft busywork schlock.

I think, the menu is just a placeholder for early build in a game, same was for FFXV when it was still called FFvsXIII. The video looked to me like a crossbreed of Crysis Core, Lightning Returns... I liked Crisis Core, because it was on PSP, but I am still regretting to give money to SE for Lightning Returns... Sent from my Stone Tablet, using Chisel-a-Talk 2000BC. Vaeliorin Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Possibly...I haven't really paid much attention to FF since 12. Honestly, I'd be a lot more excited for a Legend of Dragoon remake or, better yet, sequel (starring Meru, of course.)
Mamoulian War Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Well IMO, currently the best what can SE offer is Bravely Default, and Bravely Second. With these games, they stayed in line with their JRPG roots, and the sales were much bigger than Lightning Returns and probably even bigger than Final Fantasy XIII-2. I thought, they learned their lessons... Well, I still think FFVIIR will sell like hotcakes, but the whining and butthurt two days after will break the internet... For me, well I still think I will buy it, but currently, from what I have seen so far, I have decided to wait for big price cut. Sent from my Stone Tablet, using Chisel-a-Talk 2000BC. Keyrock Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 I haven't watched the Angry Joe Far Cry Primal video yet, because every time I mulled watching a 30 minute video I decided to just play Xenoblade Chronicles X for 30 minutes instead. I'll probably watch it in chunks at work today. Anyway, I'm curious as to how they'll fit in towers in a prehistoric setting. I mean, it's a Ubi game, so surely it will have towers. 1 RFK Jr 2024 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks
Fenixp Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Perhaps Ubisoft will come up with an entirely new, completely unique mechanic tied to exploring territory like scrying the land trough a magic pebble which will involve a dream in which your character climbs a radio tower. 2

Giant Sequoias? 3 Quite an experience to live in misery isn't it? That's what it is to be married with children.I've seen things you people can't even imagine. Pearly Kings glittering on the Elephant and Castle, Morris Men dancing 'til the last light of midsummer. I watched Druid fires burning in the ruins of Stonehenge, and Yorkshiremen gurning for prizes. All these things will be lost in time, like alopecia on a skinhead. Time for tiffin. Tea for the teapot!

HoonDing Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Too many useless characters you were forced to level grind to beat the final dungeon. Like that old dude and the retarded wild boy. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
