Sadly I am late to the party since I had already preordered Pillars of Eternity II a month ago,

 

so no Wasteland 2 being free for me. But still planning to buy W2 when it goes on sale again.

 

EDIT: Well I be, ah never mind, GOG did give W2 to me for free. Just never bothered to check

 

my games library.. that's what I get for being lazy. xD

If you already own the first Pillars of Eternity on GOG, go to your library and look under Serial Keys. You should see a bonus code which you can use to redeem your Gaun's Pledge DLC for Pillars of Eternity II.

not only is there no Library on GOG (there are only several tabs separated by type of product), there isn't any Serial Keys in the non-existent Library 

correction, there's a small hyperlink WAY down at the bottom of the page, called My library, which leads nowhere useful.

To be fair, since serial codes are usually associated with some form of drm they are very rare on GOG as they're only needed for external MP- and since gamespy died often not even that- and occasionally for things like forum access so they won't be prominently displayed. The only retail game with a serial code on GOG is Witcher 3 (?), on steam every retail game with steamworks has to have one.

Almost all Paradox Titles have serials. Including PoE, before this DLC. All are used for just for forum access though. But that's how I knew where to look for it

Also Unreal has 20th anniversary, so the first game is free foe the next 40 hours or so.

I'm not sure I understand...  Prey was demonstrated in 1998, and released in 2006. The sequel was released last year.

 

Prey from 2006 was superb; and its in-game portal mechanics would seem to pre-date the game Portal by almost ten years.

I'm not sure I understand...  Prey was demonstrated in 1998, and released in 2006. The sequel was released last year.

 

 

Yeah, I know that Prey ended up being a 2006 release, but the 2017 one is also called Prey so I ran with it for the purposes of the joke.

 

That said, with my warped perception of time, 2006 feels fairly recent really.

I'm just happy i was there in the 90s playing all the games, especially from 1994 onward. Age doesn't matter, nostalgia does. :D  And i could never really decide which year had the best releases, since we got greatness each year.
