    When that song came out, I thought it was about Johannes ... 'everybody look at Johannes .... haaaa-aaaans'. 

     

     

    Anyway I've just been granted the power to 'mance, so, watch out corpses.

    Mancy means divination by means of something.

     

    So, can you tell the future from corpses? 

     

     

    If I recall well enough, it was originally nigromancy, and was more on the art of communication and divination using the deceased. The zombies and animating the dead came later...

     

    That's racist.

    I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"*

    necromancy is a word with greek origin and is "the divinination of the future through either the use of animal carcasses or the summoning of ghosts"

    the later part "mancy" has taken a rather broad meaning in fantasy (comonly used to describe particular magical affinities like pyromancer) due to the decision to use the word necromancer to describe magicians who play with undead

    as for nigro, it is the latin word for black

    The words freedom and liberty, are diminishing the true meaning of the abstract concept they try to explain. The true nature of freedom is such, that the human mind is unable to comprehend it, so we make a cage and name it freedom in order to give a tangible meaning to what we dont understand, just as our ancestors made gods like Thor or Zeus to explain thunder.
