Goddard Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Really surprised that this game doesn't have co-op play. What is my wife suppose to do when I am playing this? 1
PrimeJunta Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Play another copy so you can then compare notes? 1 I have a project. It's a tabletop RPG. It's free. It's a work in progress. Find it here: www.brikoleur.com
Katarack21 Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 She's supposed to hang out with you while you read dialogue aloud, bitch about combat, and generally include her in the experience. 1
Lychnidos Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Give her an unconnected mouse she'll never notice, at least my cousins don't. 2
conanthelibrarian Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I think she is supposed to tell you that the weapon you are using is not he best for the situation, that the last spell you used wasn't correctly placed, and how you must be blind for running into that trap! 2
Bazy Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Really surprised that this game doesn't have co-op play. What is my wife suppose to do when I am playing this? Fill out divorce papers. 3
Rosveen Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 (edited) edit: nevermind I'm an idiot Edited March 27, 2015 by Rosveen
Goddard Posted March 27, 2015 Author Posted March 27, 2015 All very good suggestions. I especially like the fill out divorce papers suggestion from Bazy. I am doing this as we speak.
PaintingInAir Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I'd also like co-op. Have the devs mentioned this as a possibility? Website uses deep learning to suggest a class in PoE!
Ieo Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I'd also like co-op. Have the devs mentioned this as a possibility? No. See links in my sig and search the forums (seriously). From the very beginning, this game was designed as a pure single-player game, which greatly reduces debugging complication and low-RoI costs. The KS Collector's Edition does not include the Collector's Book. Which game hook brought you to Project Eternity and interests you the most? PE will not have co-op/multiplayer, console, or tablet support (sources): [0] [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] Write your own romance mods because there won't be any in PE. "But what is an evil? Is it like water or like a hedgehog or night or lumpy?" -(Digger) "Most o' you wanderers are but a quarter moon away from lunacy at the best o' times." -Alvanhendar (Baldur's Gate 1)
Goddard Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 Didn't realize that. To me this could never be a BG2/Infinity engine replacement if it doesn't have a multi-player component. That was one of the things I liked most about BG2.
luzarius Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 If not for POE, then hopefully POE 2 will have multiplayer and other features. The most important thing obsidian can do is continue doing kickstarters and getting the community involved. Obsidian: "Guys we're a bit short on money for a modding tool, multiplayer and voice acting, could you guys donate?" Fan/Player: "no problem, here is $25.00" Had I know this game would be that good, I would've donated to the kickstarter. I will gladly donate to the next one for POE 2. Bill Gates' Son Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 (edited) Really surprised that this game doesn't have co-op play. What is my wife suppose to do when I am playing this? Do you really want me to answer that question? Edited April 28, 2015 by Bill Gates' Son 2
wanderon Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Co-op play - absolutely positively NO not now not ever - let's move on... 2 Nomadic Wayfarer of the Obsidian Order Not all those that wander are lost...
