LadyCrimson
Oy, try three animals and hardwood floors. Ive seen dust/fur bunnies the size of your fist! Oddly, even when I had 8 indoor cats I never really had issues with cathair balling up. I guess I vacuum/dustmop enough to prevent them. But hubby likes those "plush" acrylic throw blankets for the couch. Every time I get a new one, there are HUGE colored fiber dust balls everywhere, daily, for weeks. >.> I know dead skin cells make up a lot of finer household dust (shake out a mattress pad cover in the sunshine some time...), but the rest is largely paper/cloth fiber. The amount from toilet tissue/tissue boxes/bath towels alone is horrible. Fun buying new cotten towels and all the dust in the bathroom turns blue... “Things are as they are. Guard Dog
I had an interview today with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation today. About five minutes into it I was wondering what the heck I was doing there. They are looking for someone with a Geotechnical, Environmental, or at least Civil Engineering background. I have a BSEE and 20 years of RF/Electronic experience. Nonetheless it was a pleasant conversation and I gave a good account for myself. I showed I was a quick study and that I paid attention in my Fluid Mechanics class. I seriously doubt anything will come of that but it's always good to get interview experience. 6 "While it is true you learn with age, the down side is what you often learn is what a damn fool you were before" Thomas Sowell

Labadal
Slept at 4 AM, got a text that the meeting I was going to at 9:30 AM was cancelled. Then I went back to bed and went to work at 1 PM. Came home, watched Better Call Saul and I am now browsing the net and watching Arsenal screw up. Oh dear, 2-0. Tigranes
Well that ruined my day. That was like a cosmic event of absolute uselessness. I feel entirely pointless by extension. Malcador
Feel sorry for Giroud, that open miss may have been tricky with the ball bouncing. Should have left him on. Still Bellerin was one huge weak point in an overall sucky display. Didn't really ruin my day, no longer care that much. Have a job interview on Monday for a position I applied to today so they must be desperate. 2 Why has elegance found so little following? Raithe
Good luck Malc. Well the first bout of my mother's chemo has gone well. Or at least, has gone without any serious issues. There's a batch of people issues that caused stress, but the medical side has seemed to go fine, with just general tiredness rather than anything else the result. Although now it's added fun of looking after her supply of oxygen tanks as well as the meds. Hm, I'm having that late night pondering on a spurt of retail therapy. Although Far Cry 4 is down to about £22 from Amazon now, so that might be worthwhile for a bout of pretty death dealing. 2 "Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum." Hurlshort
I've been thinking about my trip to Vegas last week, and I thought I'd post a few highlights. We ate very well. Nobu - This was our expensive dinner out to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. We did the Chef's Choice menu, and I ordered a couple different types of sake to compliment it. It was a crazy amount of food, I want to say about 9 courses served. My highlight was the Black Cod, while my wife loved the plate with 4 different types of tuna sushi. By the end I was ready to explode. It was very expensive. Giada's - This italian restaurant is in the beautiful Cromwell hotel and casino, and is the only one that Giada De Laurentis has a hand in. I'm a big fan of hers, so I had a blast. The food was really good, the serving sizes were just right, and we had a great view of the strip from our seats. I want to go back here next time. Price wise it was reasonable too. Rose. Rabbit. Lie. - I wanted to go here as soon as I saw the name. It did not disappoint. It is inside the Cosmopolitan, a newer and trendier casino on the strip. We ended up the The Study, which was lined with books and records. You could pick out a record and they would actually play it for you. There were hidden doors that would take you to different rooms, and they were all very unique. There was a cabaret type room and a blue club type room that I saw. The Study was perfect for our quiet date. We had a few creative ****tails and then ordered a bunch of small plates to share. There were tiny caviar tacos, rabbit fricassee, bacon brussel sprouts, and foie gras. We ended it with a creative drumstick ice cream dessert that had gold flakes on top and peanut butter and the bottom. The food was amazing and creative, and this was my favorite dining experience. It was also not too expensive, particularly compared to a place like Nobu. Highly recommended if you end up in Vegas.

ShadySands
Hurl, did you like the sake? My wife just got back from a week long buying trip in NYC so that's the highlight of my week. My boss wants to send me out to Chicago in a couple of weeks but I told him no because it's my wife's birthday and I missed it last year because I was in Chicago. I had a math quiz last night which was weird because it's an online class but they make us go on campus to take the quizzes and tests. Problem is that I am also on call so as soon as I roll up on campus my phone rings because some business critical something something is down. I was lucky I had my laptop in my bag and it was charged so I was able to get the issue resolved but it was done literally one minute before I had to be butt cheek to seat in the testing lab. Other than that finally actually starting to book my Italy trip now that I got approval for the time off Edited February 26, 2015 by ShadySands 1 Free games updated 3/4/
Hurlshort
Did you like the sake? I did! I know I had a couple glasses of the Black Label Nobu. I'm fairly new to the whole process, but the waiter did a good job of explaining it all and helping us pair with our food. It didn't hit me very hard though, I'm not sure if it was all the food or if I just have a good tolerance for it.
Labadal
I just watched Liverpool join Arsenal in the Hall of Shame (Arsenal still have a shot to go through), and it pisses me off to no end. So many wasted goal scoring opportunities missed in the first half and then we lose on penalties. I hate being a football fan but I can never stop being one. Woldan
I just received a shipping confirmation from the shop that sells rifle stocks. THREE freaking weeks after I placed the order. What did they do in those three weeks? Did they carve my stock with their dull pocket knives? Oh, no wait, they probably had to grow a tree first! I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.

Lovred did good today, but that penalty was going to bit him in the @$$ because he hasn't been the signing people hoped for. I guess people want a scapegoat but will forget all the chances we missed in the first half.

Woldan
Today I've been reading some horror stories about an impending global financial collapse and the end of the society as we know it, with parallels drawn to the crash in the early 30's, just multiplied by the factor 10. While I take everything I read about this topic with a grain of salt (a truckload, actually) and its definitely mostly just scaremongering its still a sobering thought. Even though I'd a bit more prepared than a lot of people I'd still be totally screwed. I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.
