Sedrefilos Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I think I could play this game now, even with not so good combat

a hocht Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I guess keys for digital GoG copies backers are to receive are for the Champion Edition?
IndiraLightfoot Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 It's a cavalcade of fantastic areas. Kudos to OE's area design team. No shortage of talent there, apparently! It looks stunning. If they would nail the combat in time for the release, the potential for a new classic is very high indeed. 1 *** "The words of someone who feels ever more the ent among saplings when playing CRPGs" ***
Starwars Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Pretty nice trailer. Thought the fast clips at the end were a bit disorienting. I love the music towards the end though, a fanfare for eternity indeed. Listen to my home-made recordings (some original songs, some not): http://www.youtube.c...low=grid&view=0

lolaldanee Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 (edited) Hype mode activated. *beep beep beep* *jump up and down* i'm surprised by the price... but for us backers this means this is one game where backing actually had some big advantage (at least at lower levels) Edited November 11, 2014 by lolaldanee
Leferd Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Props to Paradox. That was a good trailer. "Things are funny...are comedic, because they mix the real with the absurd." - Buzz Aldrin."P-O-T-A-T-O-E" - Dan Quayle
Sensuki Posted November 11, 2014 Author Posted November 11, 2014 (edited) Isn't it standard Paradox game price? Backers can still buy additional keys, I've bought for 6 other people so far. Pretty good at 3 keys for $60 usd Edited November 11, 2014 by Sensuki
AndreaColombo Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Those dragons look good! "Time is not your enemy. Gairnulf Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I paid more than the game's cost because I backed it pretty late, but I bought more stuff than the game itself. Actually I bought the bb access and the expansion discount primarily because I wanted to donate more A Custom Editor for Deadfire's Data:
Seari Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 (edited) The character models actually don't look horrible with max zoom. Did the dragon puke out a fireball? Edited November 11, 2014 by Seari
Sensuki Posted November 11, 2014 Author Posted November 11, 2014 Maybe that's the new fireball FX that doesn't completely obscure units ? ;D
Sonntam Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 The dragons look amazing. Also, they have like 8 separate wings? Looks rather pretty.
Sheikh Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 (edited) Looks great, looking forward to see if it plays great too Edited November 11, 2014 by Sheikh
Valsuelm Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Props to Paradox. That was a good trailer. It's nice to see shots from the game, however I almost think too much was shown. Either way, there was nothing spectacular about this trailer. Paradox better do better. If they don't do something as good as their Crusader Kings 2 promotions, which are really the only good promotions I've ever seen them do, I'm going to say that Obsidian never should have partnered with them.

Zallgrin Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Really liked the trailer. Wondering whether the ability to talked to the dead hanged woman is a Cipher ability or some newly acquired mysterious power? Either way, that dragon with the eight wings looks rad. A huge, scaly, butterfly of death.
Zoraptor Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Not really. Paradox is on board to do certain things, primarily marketing and using their experience as a publisher/ distributor to Obsidian's advantage, and they will be getting money from the partnership. And if they don't do those jobs well then partnering with them is pointless to counter productive because they get paid for doing them, money that otherwise would have gone to Obsidian, or someone else who would have done the job well. (Far too early to tell whether they've done the job well since they are effectively just starting and have 5 (?) months to go with the marketing, I'm just glad I backed the project so none of my money goes to Paradox who I dislike intensely) 1
Tuckey Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 From gog pre-order page: Pre-Order Bonus Mystery Item #1 and #2 I hope these items aren't going to just plonk into your inventory at game start. I still want to actually find them in-game. 2
Leferd Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 I was trying to skim through a review of DA:I on the PC Gamer site. Then an ad popped up for Pillars of Eternity. I clicked on it, naturally. Looks like Paradox is spending some marketing money on this. Nice. 1 "Things are funny...are comedic, because they mix the real with the absurd." - Buzz Aldrin."P-O-T-A-T-O-E" - Dan Quayle
