They don't have the money to pull off animation convincingly in a game of that size.

I have to applaud the animators at Bioware, her facial expressions perfectly align to drugged up dialogue and mostly: Look at mr. Inquisitioners face, that is the only normal reaction to those kind of lines.

Wow. That was...off-putting.

I can say Dragon Age:Inquisition is SWTOR with sword and magic

Based on what?

based on the video above, it's very similar

That video looks like every Bioware dialogue since they started using the wheel. In terms of animation, it looks like everything since KOTOR.

compare the animation of SWTOR with Dragon Age:Inquisition

I think both game have the very same "nature" only that Dragon Age:Inquisition is not an MMO

Not just the animation i think, the combat also look like SWTOR, maybe they have different mechanic, but it look the same with those flashy stuff here and there, only replace Star Wars magic with Dragon Age magic, Star Wars background with Dragon Age background...and use new engine

Like i mentioned before, the idea of "the Inquisitor" as the main character come from the Sith Inquisitor of SWTOR... The thing sound cool, so why not "Inquisitor"? From there they establish everything. Dragon Age have no actual lore or story frame, or even universe, they create everything from demand and ideas that come later, that is after DA:O, they make DA2, then again to make DA:I

I think I get it here. You're mainly familiar with SWTOR. The formula's been part of Bioware's thing for some time. Jedi, Spectre, Grey Warden, now Inquisition.

Believe me, soon, players will say it feel like playing SWTOR...the difference is it's a single player game.

Even DA2 is not like that, you see DA2 animation and feeling is not like SWTOR, from what i see DA:I is like SWTOR

Going from one area to next, scavenger hunt style, to trigger some arbitrary mechanic/bonus never seemed like intelligent or involved gameplay to me, but rather filler material that's easy to copy paste over the entirety of the game. 1. All games have this including your precious IE games.

2. DA1 had LOTS of these types of quests.

3. People have actually played DA3 and complain abotu the fecth quests later updated their thoughts and dsaid  further in there's more varied quests.

4. These types of quests are busybody work not my favorite but they likely are mainly there to give you an extra excuse to explore.

5. Don't do them.

"I can say Dragon Age:Inquisition is SWTOR with sword and magic"

That's silly since KOTOR is  D&D in space. Quite literally. It usesd D&D rules even. LMAO Plus, KOTOR is one of BIO's weakest games. Only BG1 is 'worse' role-playing wise.

There's been a  few potential spoilers that shows that DA3 has some nasty C&C.

\Sure more than the BGs.

I don't care for the 'Skyrim' nonsense but otherwise it looks to be pretty good. We'll see.

Some of the people here though are funny. They've been bashing BIO games for years yet still spam their threads. Hilarious. Why not focus on games you actually enjoy. Nobody will cry if  post actual truthful stuff and not make up flat out lies and bogus things.

'DA3 is KOTOR'.

Tale: You'll probably find a cheap PS4 during Black Friday. Wouldn't surprise me if the game got a decent price, too.

I see I am not the only one going for PS4.

I will have to wait until next summer/fall before even considering a new PC.

Same here. Do we know if performance is better on the PS4 or Xbox One? I suppose the difference is negligible at this point.

It seems there might be a slight improvement on the PS4 version but I'm not sure the difference is very noticeable.

Of course, but KotOR isn't like SWTOR and not like DA:O, not the same at all

The scuttlebutt is that PS4 has better resolution, but Xbone has more consistent framerate.

I don't want anyone taking my word though.

It could be the case. I've mostly stayed out of DA:I threads on most boards to avoid spoilers. (Still read some, but not much about impressions on the technical side, though.)

Nope. IE games had their share of trite quests, but they had no mechanics of this type. Sticking a flag in a pre-defined location, going around closing gates and other repetitive mechanics of this type littered around the world to pose as content weren't part of those games.

I think they're bad for immersion and negatively impact replay value. People do them for the in game bonuses they grant (munchkinism) and out of OCD but not because they really like them.

I'm not saying the game is crap because they're included but they didn't need those design "shortcuts".

The IE games had these fetch quests as well. Quite a bit. Nice try, though.

The IE games essentially popularized the stigma against fetchy "FedEx" quests. They were ubiquitous.

The Keep now has a feature to export DA:I saves and mess with them, then import them back into the game.

I doubt I'd use it, but that's neato.

I can say Dragon Age:Inquisition is SWTOR with sword and magic

Weren't you arguing that doors were an original idea confined entirely to Skyrim?

We get it. You don't like Inquisition.

No, i like sme of the improvements they make, but i don't like DA:I...if you understand what i mean. DA:I is no longer "Dragon Age" i know, it's a game with many influences from other games, not original anymore.

I do feel like want to play DA:I, but will i enjoy it as i enjoy DA:O? I doubt it because DA:I is like many other games i have played, Skyrim for example.

Why they don't just upgrade the original game instead of creating a new one that look much like other popular games? I cannot understand why they must changed it drastically since DA2

TES don't change much, and still sell with Skyrim, it maintain it's originality, the identity, we know it is TES game. But DA2 and DA:I changed drastically from one another. That is what Bioware don't understand

Look at KotoR 1 and 2, KotOR 2 don't changed much, playing KotOR 2 have the same feeling as playing KotOR 1, but SWTOR is totally a different game, SWTOR is like Mass Effect

All Bioware become Mass Effect with different title, all get Mass Effect virus
