Starwars Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Does anyone else find it kinda weird that the backroom at the currier's lead down to the Skaen temple... The very same temple (and game-area) which is also accessed in Dyrford Crossing that it takes 4 hours to travel to from Dyrford? I hope there aren't more weird "stretches of logic" in the game like that. It's a nitpicky thing, but it feels weird. Especially since I actually love that you can get down there via the currier's also. 1 Listen to my home-made recordings (some original songs, some not): http://www.youtube.c...low=grid&view=0
Sensuki Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 It's a throwback to BG1 - Gullykin and Firewine Ruins.
IndiraLightfoot Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Wow! I had completely missed that. What a leap that chasm must be. The rope must stretch for miles on end. *** "The words of someone who feels ever more the ent among saplings when playing CRPGs" ***
PrimeJunta Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Yeh, I wondered about that too, but quickly pushed it away to the back of my mind. Like, say, interiors being way bigger than exteriors. Space behaves strangely in this type of game. I have a project. It's a tabletop RPG. It's free. It's a work in progress. Find it here: www.brikoleur.com
Ganrich Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I can agree. I tried suspending my disbelief by thinking that just outside town there is a huge cliff/mountain/river/whatever I had to walk around to get to the crossing. Basically, I had to go around my ***hole to get to my elbow. It is what it is.
Marceror Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I could imagine that the underground water area is much larger than shown, eventually leading to the temple, but yeah, that's not how it is presented. Perhaps a transition in that area that requires 4 hours to reach the temple proper could fix things. 1 "Now to find a home for my other staff."My Project Eternity Interview with Adam Brennecke
The Loyal Nub Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Maybe it's a Doctor Who sort of thing? You know some weird space/time/dimensional sort of thing.
vril Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Yeh, I wondered about that too, but quickly pushed it away to the back of my mind. Like, say, interiors being way bigger than exteriors. Space behaves strangely in this type of game. Be thankful some parts are not to scale.

BlueLion Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I didn't even think about it. After all it's a computer game...
Ink Blot Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Yeah, it struck me as odd too. I just told myself it was actually a really long tunnel to the water area and left it at that. If not examined too closely, I can pretend not to notice my logic is made of rice paper. :D
