“Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.”

"The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete."

The most hilarious thing is that there is a treadmill in the background.

All Stop. On Screen.

They actually showed this bit on TV here once, as a "make fun of the fat nerd" thing. I'm going to ruin it a bit though, if anyone doesn't know what the real funny thing about this actually is: This is a pretty famous YouTuber (Boogie2988) and the angry fat nerd "Francis" is a character that he plays. He's super nice and laid back, one of the kindest and most respectful people on the internet.

As for the treadmill, this guy's actually lost a lot of weight. He was even larger before (as far as I know, he was raised by a single mother who was also a schizophrenic or something and he coped with eating) and got around in one of those carts for people who can't walk, because he really couldn't. Seeing his progress is actually pretty awesome and inspiring.

This little furtive act of stealing...

...made me think of this annoying tune, although it's about getting caught:

I liked that movie.

I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"*

"Good thing I don't heal my characters or they'd be really hurt." Is not something I should ever be thinking.
