I'm not surprised to be honest, so was the Wasteland 2 beta, and I'd bet the Divinity one was aswell.

Yes, precisely. I'll admit I was badly tempted, even though I have a steamkey for the W2 beta, just to not use steam. But it'd be kind of pointless, since bugs and such might be because of cracks.

Amazing, the Pillars of Eternity beta was pirated.

Everything gets pirated.  Freakin' open source programs freely available get pirated.  In fact, the pirates that pirated the Pillars of Eternity Beta were themselves pirated, by pirates that were also themselves pirated.  We're so many layers deep in pirating now that I'm not sure there is anything legitimate left in the world, it's all pirated copies of pirated copies.

    I'm just worried that people without two brain cells to rub together will conclude this is the final product and will spread info of how PoE is a buggy mess with no content

    Well, I don't think many will take them seriously. Betas are supposed to be a little bit buggy. Tried playing it last night and it locked up and then crashed once so, that meets that :p

    well, googling PoE torrents revealed that half of them don't even mention it's a beta version

    @Bruce - I don't pirate games.  Every game I play has been purchased legitimately.
