Every bad thing said about FIFA is true and this cup is particularly abominable in all the infrastructural, economic, political, organisational senses... but the football's the best it's been since 2002 (in a World Cup anyway, since world cups no longer showcase best football in the world in any sense).

 

I hear the Ivory Coast comeback was delicious and the Swiss actually managed to be entertaining on the pitch for the first time in their history. And of course the Dutch rollercoaster.

 

France have made the wrong decision in front of goal every single time, mostly due to Benzema and Debuchy, but now they've got a golden ticket to put a few more in.

So inefficient. If Germany were playing it would be 6-0 already.

That would really suck in Bosnia winds up losing because of an own goal.  They've been playing quite solidly so far.

I can't believe how much trouble Messi's Argentina is having with footballdwarf Bosnia. They seem to have left not just their A game at home, they did not bring even their D game.

I'm still undecided whether Bosnia is actually pretty decent or Argentina is rather crappy.  Outside of Messi's splendid goal, Argentina was mostly outmatched.  Argentina opened up a bit after the Messi goal, but Bosnia still controlled most of the game even after that.

That's German efficiency for you.

And 3-0 Germany.  Down by 3, down a man, this is pretty much worst case scenario for Portugal.  It's basically down to how bad the goal differential they will lose by today will be.

Goal!! 3-0!! Football is a game which ends with Germany winning after 90 minutes (or earlier)...   (You know that saying I'm paraphrasing)

Am disappointed with the English commentator not mentioning blitzkreig, storming, bombing with regards to the German attack.  3-0 though, didn't expect that.

I think I've seen enough. Italy will be world champion.

This is true in any sport ever. It's not uniquely soccer.
