Gfted1 Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Mysterious telephone calls, missing padlocks, electrical problems, extra-terrestrial lights, phasing cats....I dunno Woldan, sounds dangerous to be around you. 2 "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
Woldan Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Last time I checked he couldn't open doors Are you sure? Yes. My cat can't do that anymore and he also can't close doors. I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.

Walsingham Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Looooong day. For some reason I've got a sort of earworm running around in my head: "If it wasn't for the English you'd be Welsh." Raithe Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Workout, thinking I'd really like another couple of months getting in shape for this, but I only have about two weeks now. Then I got back home.. to find out I needed to bathe the cat because long-haired Persian had managed to get certain ..matter.. stuck to his hindquarters. That's always a joyful event. 1 "Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum."
Krookie Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 After graduating in May, I traveled for a bit (California + Vegas). Just accepted a job offer for a position in New York, so I'm waiting for my background check to (hopefully) clear and then I'll start sometime in mid-August. Pretty stoked. Also, I bought Fallout 3 because I've never gotten around to playing it, so that will probably take up what time I have left in Jersey. 1
Whitefox789 Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Mental preparation for the start day of my job for on this coming Monday as a Software Engineer Other then that trying to get back to studying my Japanese (I've pretty much forgotten all of the Hiragana characters) Other then that extended, experimenting with some things in Blender. 1
BruceVC Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Last time I checked he couldn't open doors Are you sure? Cats are so cute, I love cats Talking about cats what happened to Lady C? Does anyone know, I miss her .... BruceVC Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Last time I checked he couldn't open doors Are you sure? Yes. My cat can't do that anymore and he also can't close doors. Woldan my advice is don't worry about it, there is an explanation you just haven't found it yet and it doesn't mean you are losing your mind The most obvious explanation is you either sleep walked and opened the door or you were semi-awake and opened the door and then went back to sleep. But either way you wouldn't have remembered it. There are cases of people who have conversations with people in a state of semi-sleep and don't even remember it, I know people like this. So don't worry about it too much "Abashed the devil stood and felt how awful goodness is and saw Virtue in her shape how lovely: and pined his loss” John Milton "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” - George Bernard Shaw "What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. Yes there are cases of this, recently on a prominent radio station in South Africa they were discussing exactly this. Its a type of sleep disorder where people can talk and perform actions but they asleep and don't remember anything. I forget the sleep disorders name, its rare but real. Bryy Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Going to Tahoe for the weekend. Have not been there in fifteen years. Will post review soon. Hope it lives up to the hype.
Blarghagh Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 (edited) There's hype for Tahoe? Anyone have some advice for people getting into running? I'm looking to start soon. Edited August 1, 2014 by TrueNeutral
Walsingham Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 There's hype for Tahoe? Anyone have some advice for people getting into running? I'm looking to start soon. Jog day 1, Interval train day 2, rest day three. Jogging, start with short chunks, about two minutes each, jog and fast walk. Each three part cycle just add 30 seconds to each chunk. Do about twenty minutes total when you're starting, work your way up from there. Gradually. Interval training is its own beast. Keep your chin up and your rear end forward. I speak from having yoyo'd from fat to fit and back twice. It works. 1 "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. Hurlshort Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Going to Tahoe for the weekend. Have not been there in fifteen years. Will post review soon. Hope it lives up to the hype. I love Tahoe. TN, it's the largest Alpine lake in North America! Just make sure you swim in it, now is the perfect time to do so because it will not be freezing. Also I've never understood the appeal of boating on the lake, it's best experienced without an engine. The casinos are pretty lame, although you can get some good bang for your buck at the restaurants. There is really a ton to do there. Which area are you staying at? I've spent most of my time at Incline Village, which is really nice. Last year I stayed at Meeks Bay and it was perfect, not too crowded and beautiful. 1
Calax Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Well I moved and the internet at the new place is a barrel of terrible monkeys (specifically because I'm running on a wireless router because the "local" phone jack is busted) Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
Lexx Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 There's hype for Tahoe? Maybe since Kate Bush released her "50 Words for snow" album. :> "only when you no-life you can exist forever, because what does not live cannot die."
Blarghagh Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Thanks Wals! I love Tahoe. TN, it's the largest Alpine lake in North America! I know what it is, but as a European I very rarely hear hype for American locations. 1
Woldan Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Took advantage of the hot 32c° summer whether and cut my lawn and borders of my property with my scythe, shirtless, to get some tan on my white-ish upper body. Had a nice chat with some neighbor-farmers stopping by with their tractors, they were amazed by my skills with the scythe and gave me thumbs up for doing it the old fashioned way. Also I found out that after the tenth horse fly bite I don't feel pain from any further bites and at that point my body doesn't produce any swellings aroudn the wounds anymore. You can get used to insect bites. I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.
