Rosbjerg Posted October 16, 2013 Author Posted October 16, 2013 this the mystery code girl? No we went on a date and didn't really hit it off.. This was the scratcher I met a while back. Fortune favors the bald.

Raithe Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Hm, well the dog is still whining pathetically, so the vet was called and they're surprised. So they want him back in to put under sedation and go have an explore. I half think they broke his tail during the original op or something like that... On the plus side, after spending about 3 hours at the hospital this morning, the whole grouping of specialists have finally decided that the lack of quality of life has reached a point that the potential risks of doing a knee replacement on my mother might actually be worth considering. That and with various things her lower spines curing and now one leg is about an inch and a half shorter then the other. Getting the anesthesiologist, the dermatologist, the orthopaedic surgeon, and the other handful of "specialists" to stop doing the "I'd do it but x, y and z could interfere which isn't in my field so I need to talk to ..." and actually agreeing on something seems a major miracle. Whether this means they'll actually fix the other knee that had a replacement that "clicks" is another matter. "Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum."
Rosbjerg Posted October 16, 2013 Author Posted October 16, 2013 'Scratcher'? hmm, *rummaging through threads* yep! here it is: --snipped picture-- Had a run in with a fiesty girl - nothing happened beyond that luckily, she would've been entirely too much to handle.. But it looks nice hah and now I think I have permanent scars heh, so my prediction was not entirely off. Fortune favors the bald.

Woldan Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Playing BGEE, man, the Durlags Tower dungeon is freaking hard. All those insta-kill traps.... 1 I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.
Azdeus Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 So yeah, turned out that reinstalling my computer and fiddling about did'nt help ****. But turning off the computer. But... Turning off the switch for the extension cable, then holding down the power button for a minute and waiting a minute or two more solved it. Seriously, WTF? I'd never, ever, think something like that would be the solution. Especially since I could clearly see the connector light turn on when the network cable connector is seated. It did'nt even matter that I went into BIOS and turned off the onboard network card and then turned it on again. Nope. Unplug the computer and hold down the power switch. Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. Malcador Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Realized I am bad at updating spreadsheets of status for a project, still doesn't make my PM's nagging any less irritating though. Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra

Guard Dog Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 GD I think you are leaving out an important bit of information around what decision you need to make.. Guard Dog Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Drinking heavily and pondering what to play. Hasn't this generally been how you've spend the last week or so? ... I approve.. You 2 are very similar in that regard, " two peas in a pod" I'm sure you would get on very well if you ever met in RL You're right. There are a lot of similarities between KP & Ros! Raithe Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 After a thorough examination, the vet can't find anything wrong with the dog (beyond the basic post-biopsy surgery aspect) to explain why he's doing the fairly constant whining keen and painful shifting. The professional opinion is "he's a wimp". So a bit more pain medication and see how it shapes up. 1 "Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum."
